OOC: Agreed!! The eagerness to start is killing me, and than I get off work in like an hour (I have a 30min drive home) so I'll be all excited in the car to check if there has been any replies... and when there's none I'll probably peel over and die. lol xD
How does your two characters find the pack? I'm just gonna brainstorm with the time we've been given. Oooe are your boys gonna be injured and as this 'new' pack moves around or a scout finds them; Roman on guard but seriously injured over an unconscious Toby? lol (I have no idea how they got separated from their previous pack soo I'm just shooting blanks here) Sorry I'm too excited. It would be all like; they barely survived the escape from the villagers rampage and are now taking a breather while another encounter happens, these two wolves just have no luck.
Well, I'm not quite sure yet. I've rped them before and they got separated from their pack then because of a vampire attack. But seeing as the vampires and lycans are allies here, I can't exactly do that. (unless there are rogue vamp clans. I was kind of confused about all of the species relationships with one another.) That was like a year ago, so they wouldn't still be injured from it. But I could definitely change that if it works better. ^^
But yeah, basically Roman's main job in his old pack was to be Toby's protector. The pup was assigned to him since before Toby was born so Roman has basically taken care of him his entire life. He's quite attached to the boy. So when whatever tragedy it was happened, his main objective was still to protect Toby. So he took the boy and ran, escaping death but becoming separated from the pack.
I was hoping he could be scouted by the golden Alpha because of his sheer size and brawling ability. But he knows how dangerous integrating into another pack can be for a pup, so he joins on the one condition that Toby will be unharmed until he is reunited with his father. Then Roman will have to make the decision between the old pack and the new one. But I might be getting ahead of myself. XD
Oh, that's cool recycling characters are always fun!! I love the 'brother' duo :D Can't wait to start. o3o Having that little alpha delta exchange would be awesome! The alpha should be an old fart almost on retirement.. the reasoning for Weylyns distress on the potential inheritance of the alpha role. All good, thinking ahead for a goal/conflict makes everything interesting.
Both your guys character are accepted, Although I wish we had an alpha we can start ^^ [-viola]
Prolife Christian ❤
( lol, yeah sorry about that, the Alpha role is just sooo~ complicated. Having to control the entire pack and everything... it's a struggle. :P But if anything Weylyn can become the Alpha.)
Weylyn was lounging around in some tall grass observing the sunrise before him; this time of day was his favorite and he was never going to miss a sunrise as long as he lived. He stretched out his front paws and let out a yawn. He rolled on his back and stretched out the rest of his body; his fur absorbed the sunlight which not only embolden but also complimented his golden fur with perfection. Though he wanted to go back to sleep, he lazily got up and brushed the grass with a gentle shake, there was no time to nap while prey lurked by, he crouched down as he glided his eyes across the horizon searching for the rodent he cool smell. A sunrise snack was a delicious luxury and he wasn't going to miss out on it. Weylyn was very pleased with himself, after catching the squirrel and devouring it he gave himself a propitious attitude and decided it was best t see how the Golden wolf pack was doing that morning.
(OOC: Eh Hope that was good to start off with, lol :3)
OOC: Great! Looking forward to working with you all!! I will have to officially post a starter later today because I'm on Mobil so it just comes out weird and hard to read. I was thinking it would be cool for my character to maybe be friends with someone else. Also interesting and stuff. Since everyone has wolves besides , it would be intriguing to see how that works out. Thoughts?
OOC: [-viola] We can have Weylyn and Victoria know each other, their from the same area so it wouldn't be absurd :P
Aaliyah sighed as she made her way towards the wolf pack rubbing her eyes. For her this was early in the day,Being half vampire took its toll on her body. She was up half the day and most the night although half should be spent sleeping was spent keeping an eye on the pack. With no true alpha she was stuck keeping an eye on things. " Hey guys. "She called with a yawn as she stretch her pale arms above her head in an attempt to wake up.

OOC: Sounds great! I'll try to pull your character into my intro! :) I hope this worked! I spent a long time working on this. I'll probably polish it up a little over time as well! :) Just so you know, I updated my character skelly and wrote Weylyn down as a friend? Yes?
BIC:
Victoria walked on the outskirts of the forest surrounding a field to keep in the shade. Her brown hair blowing softly in the breeze while her vivid green eyes scanned the field before her. Her eyes stopped when she saw Weylyn lounging in then field, enjoying the gentle touch of the morning sun. Victoria watched as he lazily got up after catching scent of prey and offed a nearby squirrel.
"Weylyn. Are you done with your meal?" She called out to him quietly, trusting his ears to pick up on her call. If he didn't, she would probably tease him later for it.
Victoria hesitated slightly before stepping foot into the field. She walked towards him carefully, knowing he was in his wolf form. She stopped when she was about a few feet away from him and looked him in the eyes, giving a soft smile.
Running. It seemed Roman was always running. Running away from danger, running to his pack, running around in a desperate attempt to provide for the small boy in his charge. Constantly running, even though he hated it. The large man never ran just for the sake of running. He did not race around for sport or leisure. He only ever ran when he needed to; and right now, he REALLY needed to.
With his legs still surging forwards, he twisted his torso slightly to look past the child on his back. His dark eyes widened when he saw the men round the corner behind him, and his feet pulsed faster across the asphalt in a desperate attempt to escape. "Roman!" The small, scared cry came right by his ear, and he tightened the crook of his elbows around the small legs at his sides.
"Hold on tight, Toby." He gritted, running through the small-town streets; ducking and weaving through wide alleys in an attempt to lose his pursuers. A low, frustrated growl rumbled in his chest when his maneuvers failed him, only separating him from the angry men following by a few more yards. It wouldn't have been a problem if he were to shift.
His wolf form was faster than a car, and stronger than an ox. His lycan lungs and heart were more efficient and his muscles more trained. He would lose these chasers in a second if he could but take the time to change. Unfortunately, the transformation from man to wolf was not instant. His bones and muscles needed seconds to break and mend and stretch and fold; seconds that he couldn't afford to lose. So he was stuck running in this human body; and even though it was stronger, faster, and more agile than the average man, it was far inferior to his wolf.
Roman was sure these two men would not follow him for a block, but they had. He was sure the chase would end when he raced through the outskirts of town, but still they followed. He let out another growl when they continued after him out of town and across the fields that stood between paved roads and forest. Surely the hunt would end once he made it to the treeline. If there was anything he knew as a wolf, it was that the woods brought safety.
His keen ears could hear their footsteps slowing as he raced towards the wall of pine and oak before him, and they suddenly stopped completely. Instead of racing shoes, he could hear their cruel voices behind him, but he kept running. "You brought the silver ones right?" One said in a thick voice.
There was a jingle of rattling metal and the sharp clack of a gun being loaded. Fear pooled in Roman's stomach, shooting all the way down to his toes; and his legs pumped frantically towards the ever-nearing forest. But it was not near enough.
Just as he burst past the treeline, the air behind him exploded with a gunshot. "AH!" White hot metal ripped into his side, and he cried out at the searing pain; stumbling in a half-run half-fall across the leaf rot floor of the forest. Roman's arms flew forwards to keep from falling straight into the ground, dirt and small pebbles digging into his palms as he caught himself and scrambled to keep moving forward. If Toby weren't holding onto his neck so tightly, the boy would have surely fallen off by now. He was clenching his arms around the larger wolf's neck, squeezing his eyes shut and whimpering. He knew that his guardian had just taken a bullet to the side.
"AND DON'T COME BACK, WOLF!" The hunter bellowed behind them, but still Roman tripped forwards. He clambered through the woods as quickly as he could, sure that the men had not stopped their pursuit- especially knowing he was injured. His hand clutched against his bleeding side, his face contorted in pain as he tried not to collapse. He had to get to safety before he fell. He had to make sure the pup would be safe.
It wouldn't have been a problem if it had been a normal bullet. Even this form had impressive healing abilities. Sure it would hurt, but the hole would close on his own in only a matter of hours. But this wound was far worse than any normal shot to the side. They had pierced him with a silver bullet; using the metal which immensely slowed down any wolf's healing abilities. He might bleed out if he couldn't apply pressure to it soon. Already, even with his hand clamped over the wound, he was becoming dizzy. But he had to get to safety first.
He took a fumbling step, and crashed into the forest floor. Trying to regain his footing, he slipped again and both and he and Toby tumbled down a shallow embankment. The pup let out a small cry as he fell away from Roman's back and landed in the dirt.
A pained groan fell across Roman's lips when he finally skidded to a stop in the valley, and he glanced around to see where his charge had landed. The boy scrambled to his side in a second, seemingly uninjured. "Roman! You're bleeding!" The poor kid wasn't sure what to do. Should he touch the wound? Should he not? His blue eyes were pricking with tears at seeing his guardian in such bad shape.
He glanced around frantically, but found only trees staring back at him. "SOMEBODY HELP!" He screeched, his tiny voice cracking with tears. Gritting his teeth, Roman grabbed at his side and the thick river of crimson that was still flowing from the wound. "HELP!" Toby howled again, and Roman caught the boy's shoulder with his unbloodied hand.
"Toby." His voice was weak and strained, and the corners of his vision had begun to darken. "Toby, stop yelling." He hissed in pain and fell back against the leafy earth. "There are wolves nearby." He could smell that they were in a pack's territory; and he couldn't risk the possible punishment that might come if he and the pup were to be found out. He wasn't exactly in any condition to fight right now.
OOC:// Oh gosh, I'm sorry for the length and the angst. XD
Mel wandered along the border of the pack's territory, trailing her fingers over bark and plants. Her eyes roaming the ground in front of her. She wasn't interested in the sun as it began to peak over the treetops. She was on the alert for foot and pawprints that she didn't recognize. Although she liked her wolf form she preferred to stay safe in case humans saw her.
The sound of running feet, three sets, drew her attention away from the ground. Raising her face from the ground she caught the faint smell of humans, sweat, and lycan. "Damn it." she growled as she tore off towards the commotion. At the sound of gun shots though her feet froze, she nearly fell over from the sliding stop. A scream of pain from the woods forced her to move into action again. She didn't care if they were pack or strays, somebody was hurt. Her feet carried her into the woods where she saw signs of broken branches and a trail of blood. Muttering more curse words she followed the trail, careful to not trip over roots and branches.
A child's scream caught her ear again, it sounded close by. "Toby, stop yelling. There are wolves nearby." The warning gave her a small chuckle. "No kidding." she said sternly, breaking into their line of sight. Her eyes ran over the situation. "I'm not here to hurt you." Mel said as she approached, "I just want to help." The wound didn't seem too bad, other than it being a bullet wound. Both of the intruders were covered in dirt as well as blood. Sighing she ripped the bottom of her shirt off. She disliked doing it, but she valued a wolf's life over a shirt. "Hold still." she growled laying her wadded up shirt against the wound.
That was about the extent of what she could do at the moment. "Kid, get me some sticks and dig the fire kit out of my backpack." she ordered, shrugging her pack off. It had some knick knacks she'd collected that morning, along with a needle, thread, bandages, and flint. She continued to hold onto the cloth as she waited for him to listen. Mel didn't expect him to argue, and she didn't feel like fighting with him either.
ooc/ hope this is alright
([-viola] :3 Yup, that's fine! I'm just going to go ahead and ping everyone, cause I guess it'll be easier... >> don't judge me lol)
Before venturing off on his way towards the pack, Weylyn caught the scent of someone familiar... Who in their right mind would come out so early in the morning to potentially be eaten by a wolf? He chuckled what absurdity. He barely heard her speak out and would never allow her to know how close he was to not hearing her, he would probably be laughed at for sure if she had found out. "Not that it's any of your business..." he trailed off scratching his ear with his hind paw. "but y-" his ears perked up and he stood up straight and tall, his body was stiff and his face never moved as he was surveying the land before him... In complete silence.. Something was wrong, the wild was never quiet; unless something dangerous had ventured too close, Humans.
As the thought struck through his mind he heard a gun fire, fear struck his heart. He turned to face Victoria his eyes were wide and filled with terror, whether she followed or not was not his concern. He was sure she could hear all the chaos as well and in the same moment of wanting to run in the other direction Weylyn gritted his canines and jolted in the direction of the gun fire. If anyone he new had been struck he was sure he would be in this with vengeance. His paws dug deep into the ground every time his struck down tearing it up from its roots and shooting it out as his ran. The clear air burned his nose, but the fear that resided in him fueled his anger and kept him from straying from his destination. He could smell the gun powder now, and the pack was not far off from his course. He hadn't a clue as to what tempted the humans to act, but he was sure they had no need for this attack.
The pack and the humans had been in what some would call a civil war, neither side would attack but tensions were worsening. If this attack was directed at the pack they would have no other option; it was either destroy or move away. This was their home, this was their protection, and this had been theirs for over a millennium. Why was this feud happening now, what changed? The pack was not in a stable condition as it were, without an Alpha they could not move away, without an Alpha they could not protect themselves as easily. This tore Weylyn apart... He wanted to help, but was he good enough to take such an important role?
Weylyn weaved around trees and bushes making his way closer and closer to what seemed to be the source of the gun fire, but no humans were in sight, and no human smell was around either. Except.. Wolfs blood? Even though it was an unknown wolf he, Weylyns blood boiled with rage, howling out to his fellow wolves who had been just a few miles away, he had warned them. Keeping the injured stranger out of the conversation; mentioning that would almost seem a death sentence. The pack was injured already and not much of a trusting crew when it came to outsiders. The couple of Vampires and Half blooded humans were only accepted as they were molded into the pack years and years ago.
Weylyn did not know who the wolf was and had no way of knowing if he was feral or friendly, as he quietly and cautiously stepped closer wile observing them he than noticed a third member in fact he recognized her from the pack... what was her name again? it took him a while to place her name, but it didn't take her long to rush into the scene and quickly take measures in her own hands as she tied to save the injured ones life. He continued watching as blood was gushing out of the wolfs side, Weylyn wasn't a doctor, but he new the humans were starting to use silver in their bullets and from the appearance of this wound it seemed they did a rather good job at trying to kill him. "We're going to have to take it out" he softly spoke to both the female and the injured wolf, "but we cannot do it here" he continued... Maybe Victoria would know where to go or have some sort of advise ... Maybe even a couple other Vamps could help out...? "I think that there's a safe zone around this area" he spoke up looking around hoping to find Victoria. He new something about a Vampire camp that lived on the outskirts of the Packs camp, so hopefully they would be able to take them in.
(OOc: it's kinda long too, sorry about that, hopefully everyone will be able to reply to this, just want to make sure everyone's included lol :P If I need to change anything on The Golden wolf packs judgement on strangers whether they would take them in at first sight or whatever just let me know, but thought it would be better if the Vamps helped here, due to territorial natures for wolves and such Edit: Just saw your post, I've edited mine so <3 and if Mel's from the Pack should our two characters know each other?)
ooc/ I'd say probably, since I'm guessing the pack isn't huge
OOC: Can I assume that vamps can communicate telepathically? Because I'm going to do that. I know wolves can't respond but they can still receive, yes? They can reply aloud or with body.
BIC: "Not that it's any of your business... but y-" she heard him stop before smelling the air she frowned a little bit. Suddenly, Weylyn looked over at Victoria with terror in his eyes, startling her after they heard the gun shot. She jumped and was close on his tail going into the forest.
Victoria heard a little boy yelling as they came closer. She saw another female there helping the man that was shot. Victoria proceeded to frown at the blood before moving to gather sticks to help the little boy out some.
"Weylyn's right. We have to move out. We don't know if anyone else is near by or if those hunters will think about coming back," she said a bit more quietly than the others in fear of being heard. "There's a safe area nearby where I'm from. I know my father will be willing to help out at least. We can take care of him there." She looked over at Weylyn.
Weylyn. Do you know how to get to my camp area? I should run ahead and let my father know that you guys are coming in so you don't get attacked.
She then turned to the injured man on the floor. "Did the hunters say anything to you? And is it okay for us to take you and the pup to my camp? Would you feel safer if I brought him with me or if he stayed here by your side?"
She looked at the little boy who was by his guardian she's assuming. She gave him a soft reassuring smile before saying that his guardian would be okay.
OOC: I hope this was a good one! :)
Roman stiffened when he heard approaching footsteps, and the lycan scent of the area grew stronger in his skull. Dammit! They weren't supposed to come.
"No kidding."
Roman looked up at the source of the smooth voice, his eyes landing on what appeared to be human girl; but it was obvious to him that she was wolf. Grimacing, he shifted on his elbows, putting himself between this stranger and his pup.
"I'm not here to hurt you. I just want to help."
What a load of crap! He could tell by the way she carried herself, even in this form, that she was higher ranking among the pack. And he had just stumbled into her territory, bleeding and weak. According to the rules of hierarchy, she could rip him apart whenever she wanted and not lose a wink of sleep over it.
Using his heels, Roman pushed himself backwards as she approached; his hand still gripping the wound in his side. "Toby, run." He whispered, keeping his eyes set on the girl's gaze as she neared. She was ripping at the hem of her shirt, and Roman couldn't help but think the worse. She was either going to gag him, bind him, or try to help with the wound- none of which really appealed to him. "Toby! Run!" He hissed a little louder. The boy only tugged on Roman's sleeve.
"Roman, she said she's here to help." He obviously needed it. Toby could tell that Roman was growing weaker with every passing moment. As much as he hated it, the older wolf could not protest. He watched in horror as the young boy stepped out from behind him and joined the girl's side.
"Hold still."
No! He would not hold still! He wasn't going to let this stranger even touch him. He had no idea what she was capable of or even what she planned to do with him once she managed to stop the bleeding. He ripped the length of fabric from her hands as she attempted to press the cotton to his wound. "I can do it!" He hissed at her, his lip picking up in a snarl. Toby shot him a stern glance, which barely quieted him; then started rummaging through the pack to find the things the girl had asked for. He handed her the flint and quickly gathered a handful of twigs and larger sticks- not really sure what size she needed as he didn't know what she was going to do with them. He wasn't sure how starting a fire could possibly be helpful right now, but he did as she asked. So far she had made no threatening move towards him or Roman, so he would trust her for now.
Roman gritted against the burn of the cotton at his side, tears threatening to fall because of the pain ripping up and into his ribs. The silver still lodged in his flesh was burning him from the inside out, but he was going to hide every weakness he could while this girl was still around.
Suddenly two more came upon the scene- another wolf; this one in his canid form, and a vampire. What an odd combination of characters it was to him, but Roman could hardly be bothered to care who they were. He didn't want any of them around, poking and prodding at him. Quite honestly, he would rather bleed out.
He gave a warning growl to the other male, and his lip raised even more as he turned towards the vampire. What a disgusting race they were. His pack would never associate themselves with the creatures of the night, but it seemed this one had. She and the male were exchanging glances, obviously having a silent conversation. Roman wished he could be a fly on the wall in their minds. It bugged him that they were talking- most probably about him- and he had no idea what they were saying.
Finally, the male spoke up, his eyes boring into the wound; making it feel even deeper than it was.
"We're going to have to take it out, but we cannot do it here. I think that there's a safe zone around this area"
Roman's dark eyes turned to the vampire as she joined in, her voice cold and lifeless in his sensitive ears.
"Weylyn's right. We have to move out. We don't know if anyone else is near by or if those hunters will think about coming back. There's a safe area nearby when I'm from. I know my father will be willing to help out at least. We can take care of him there."
After a moment, her eyes found him again, sending a cold chill down his spine which only added to the agony of the bullet.
"Did the hunters say anything to you? And is it okay for us to take you and the pup to my camp? Would you feel safer if I brought him with me or if he stayed here by your side?"
"The hell makes you think we're going anywhere with you?!" Roman spat, raising himself up, only to find fire blazing into his muscles. He crashed back again, gritting his teeth in pain. Truth was, he was quickly fading, and he knew it. Even though he put on a good show, he didn't have much strength left; and if he kept up this tough guy act much longer, he was going to lose consciousness. But he couldn't bring himself to be like the pup and just trust them. What kind of protector would he be if he did?
Toby put a quieting hand on his shoulder, his brow furrowed in concern and small tears falling across his cheeks.
He turned up to the present company, his large blue eyes wet and pleading. "Please help him. He can't die." Roman was the only one left. Without Roman, he was just a lost puppy with no where else to go. He turned back to the wolf, and touched the stubble on his cheeks. "You can't die." It almost sounded like a command, and Roman slowly shook his head; his lids falling shut without permission. He was falling into darkness.
Toby turned his attention back up to them- specifically the girl who looked like she was in charge; the one he had gathered sticks for. "Please take us to the safe area." He squeaked, worry filling every word.
Your reply gave me goose bumps :D I love it!!
K so I think I should wait for than I'll reply than , [-viola] ? I hope I'm not missing anyone... >> I want to reply sooo bad D:, but I'll just wait ;o;
OOC://
AH! Thanks so much! I actually had more, but I guess there's a character limit. So I thinned it out a little bit XD
Mel ignored his attempts to be tough, her eyes barely flicking up when part of her pack arrived. As he continued to shout she wanted to smack him upside the head and scold him like she would a pup. He was hurting though, so she let it slide.
She'd been planning on removing the bullet herself, but had forgotten about the need for a pot to heat water. Neglecting to tell the rest of the group her plan she thanked Toby for his help but did nothing with the gathered items. The arrival of the others put a stop to that plan anyways as they offered to take him to a safer area. "You're going, whether you like it or not." she growled softly at Roman, finally tired of his behavior, but it fell on deaf ears as he passed out.
Mel's heart tugged a little watching the little boy cry. She offered him an arm to give him a hug. "We'll do what we can." she told him softly. The beta looked up at Weylyn and Victoria. Her eyes serious, "I'm not a fan of moving him, in case the bullet does more damage. Carry him gently." she ordered, making eye contact with them both. "If Toby, right? Will allow it I'll stick with him until this guy gets better." she added.
Mel hoped they could get to the vampire's camp safely, she didn't want this random boy to lose anybody. They looked like they'd been through some rough stuff together.
ooc/ That was a huge awesome post!
Sorry I'm away from my computer most of the weekend for work.
