Uncle Alfred (who happens to also be a werewolf - it seems to run in the family) said he'd heard this was a lucky omen, but it meant I was bullied from a really young age. Uncle had taken me out into the fields on a full moon for years, but nothing happened until I was 5. He wouldn't explain why it took so many moons for me to turn into a werewolf, and I know Mother thought that he had bitten me, as she didn't speak to him for a few years after that.

I did have a lot of kids take the mickey in my last school - I don't think my fur helped with that, but I'm hoping that Hogwarts might have some more accepting students that I can make friends with.

Bio: Originally from the western United States. Samantha's parents, Nathan and Maggie Grant, are both Pure bloods but her mother is virtually a squib who can only make potions. Affectionately known as Magpie, Samantha's mother taught her that magic isn't what defines a person, and muggles aren't really all that different from wizards. Growing up in the wilds of the eastern Sierra Nevada, Samantha, (who prefers to be called Sam) had a cave of goblins and an elderly muggle prospector as her closest neighbors. In fact her first magic was a levitation spell to get the Gold hunting muggle's panicked burro down from the tree branches where angry goblins had hoisted it. Sam's father Nathan is a descendant of Matthew Grant of N. England who fled west after using a confundus spell to get acquitted of witchcraft in 1649. All of the Grant males were parselmouths, and gifted at languages both human and non-human. Nathan originally worked for the Wizarding Bank of the West. His ability to speak the Goblin language (Goblins hate the term Gobbledygook) got him transferred to the British Isles, and helped re-ingratiate the wizard bankers with the goblins of Gringotts after the "Dark Wizard Incident". Sam is the first girl of the Grant line able to speak with snakes, and her king snake Chua is her best friend.

She was raised in Australia, mostly by her beloved nanny as her father was often busy and moved to Scotland recently to attend Hogwarts. Being half vampire means that she becomes quite anaemic regularly unless provided with blood transfusions as her body can’t digest pure blood. Stay away from her if you notice her looking particularly pale as she is likely to bite!

Bio: Jennifer was raised by her parents in a small town in the Forest of Dean. Living in the forest has given her plenty of time to appreciate the trees and loves nothing more then going on hikes. Jenny went to a muggle primary school as her parents felt it important that she mixed with muggle children from an early age. Name: Roman Castille Username: Blood Status: Half-blood Special Ability: Ghost Extracurriculars: Astronomy Club Favorite Class(es): History of Magic, Astronomy (Really, any class that doesn't require wand-wielding) Bio:Roman's mother left after his youngest sibling was born. His father passed away shortly after that but decided to remain in his world as a ghost to take care of Roman and his younger siblings. Roman was the oldest, so he was stuck with the physical responsibilites of taking care of his family.

It was accidental magic that killed him. He was fourteen, yelling at his father in the kitchen. He didn't want to be responsible for a family he didn't create; he didn't want to be the parent because his father couldn't handle the task. It was one of many fights they'd had; but this one had gotten too heated. He was chopping food and crying, and something broke in him. He didn't remember dying. One moment, he was yelling, then the next, a white flash blinded the room. The knife slipped, and he was thrown into an "in-between." There, he had to make a choice that would haunt him forever: leave his family or move on. It wasn't too difficult of a decision to make; he couldn't leave with the way things were. He needed to tell everyone he loved them-- that everything would be okay. So he stayed as a ghost, like his father.

Roman's death occured two years ago; he's still rather touchy about it.

Being a Veela does not affect her life daily, but when situations arise where she get's angry you can tell she is part Veela. All of her female relatives (cousins, aunts, etc) on her mother's side are part Veela.

He bears a hatred for his father's "kind" which cannot be described in words, which comes from the madness caused to his mother, the pain and sorrow he knows plagues her. He fights his dark past constantly, trying to reach the light, and swears to destroy all of the evil wizards. He has great power in him, let us hope he uses it well.
