there is a market for recolors, both for common poses and for alternate palettes of reposes.
two of the most widely suggested colors are a autumn version of glade, with an orange palette, and a more ethereal version of nightmare.
Yes people are asking for recolors, it is easier to get these colors close to species completion. Also these recolors then prevent people from buying overlays to just do a color swap because now they will be too similar to actual official colors.
There's a market for everything, but eh, let's not turn into Aywas that has a color for every word in the dictionary
TBH I don't care, but I think we're getting side-tracked. It would suck for the thread to be locked for a legitimate reason this time.

Many years ago, back when Adam and Donna still owned Neopets, Viacom was just a distant entity, and Neopets was still a fun place I went to hang out every day, there used to be quests there too. I don't remember what they were called, but it was the same basic premise as ours here, in that you went out to buy an item or items and brought them back in return for money. That was taken away abruptly, leaving much of the site's population without their main source of income, including myself. Prices on the things we wanted to buy were still going up, but our income was now going way down. It got so frustrating that a lot of us quit.
I'm just afraid that this site will go down the same road, because once that quest was taken away, everything else started to go downhill from there and a few years later, Viacom came in and POOF! No more fun Neopets, welcome to corporate bullshit Neopets.
I know this is pathetic, but for me at least, Subeta is sometimes the only time I smile at all during the day. When I make a nice profit on my quests, it makes me happy. Make fun of me if you want, but when you suffer depression, every little thing that makes you smile, even a little bit, really counts.
So yeah. That's my two-cents worth I suppose. Go ahead, tear me a new one if you must.
I don't think anyone is talking about taking away quests

Okay, so I did ten quests from a questgiver that was not a WSQ, was not Saggi or Wiz.
Here are my pure profits per quest
I don't know, I think an average 37.3K SP profit is a little high for a quest whose main goal is not to give SP. We're not talking Saggi or Sarah, there!
I think quests like Saggi can go and give profit this high, or higher, but honestly, yeah, if the average was around 20K, quests would still be doable and profitable.
And those numbers, after the latest quest revamp to "fix quests and make it easy to made WSQ make sense across the board", are pretty much the norm for everyone.
I'm guessing Cursed or Carl!
I think the profit increase was supposed to be a temporary thing, I can't remember where Keith posted it though :(
I spend most of my sp on space for my pet's tcs and also on what goes in them. Even though I don't do a lot with my pets on site, because what can you really DO with them, I spend a lot of time offsite working on art, profile stuff, whatever. Secondly, I probably spend the most on wearables but I care a lot less about them.
I would pay extra to have more minions for my pet. :) I know that technically I could put (and I do) put more minions in the treasure chest area but for people who like to have clear cut places for things they might like it. I would totally have a little eyrie for my pet that collects griffons. Than I could just keep his tc bookish. Or possibly have a minion leashed next to the pet on the forum. I'd probably pay sp for that. Of course then you could go the route of having official overlays on them as well.. :p
I know there is another topic about new pet colors and how to implement them. I'm all for paying to get that challenger beach color or the frosty sparkly blue one on a few of my pets. topic here and here
All of these achievements for boating but where's my forum title? I love boating in rl. I'll throw money atcha to get a title for it haha. ;)
Sign me the hell up for this
I also like Iridescent's idea of paying for more pet minions (sadly my phone won't let me quote the original post). Another thing they could do is have you pay a fee for each shop/gallery you open on the site instead of giving you three free ones with the option of paying for two more.
We have had this topic, of sP sinks, again and again and again.
And then things take a while to get implemented. And then they do. And then the topic comes up again because things are the same. And then Black Friday will come up and will annihilate the value of sP. By next spring I expect 100 csc to cost 7.5 million.
Just destroy sP as a currency. Retire it and force people to spend it immediately. Of course there should be warnings and yadda yadda.... sP as a currency is too weak. Starting everyone over at 0 where everything can be tweaked so that a new main currency is much more valuable is the better solution. Eliminate other currencies as well (Wizard Tokens, Forum Tickets, other excuses that inhibit nice items from being sP sinks). Don't give out high amounts of it as rewards: keep it low yet easy to obtain. Item prices can be raised to give it more worth at the drop of a hat. That will make it easier to regulate, to cap extreme amounts of wealth, and to ensure that there is a currency that is worth something and easy to attain with effort AND restraint.
I'd love to see a change to slots. To expand on this, what if there were multiple machines? The current one (50 sp/spin) is fine for newbies, but how about one or two more machines for players with more sp to play around with? Maybe one that's a few thousand per spin and a another that's more like 10k+? The highest cost machine could have prizes such as stat increases (make it rare) or SMALL amounts of csc - I'm thinking extremely small, like single digit small. Enough to bring intrigue, but small enough to not crash csc value.
Sweet Treasures pet=Zagnut pet=Savour [Pet=Chivato] (Ikumoradeekanox)
Gambling. I'd like to gamble my money away :) Something like a sP vending machine that you can use once a day and costs something like 500k or 1m per day, but you can get lots of hard to get things from....Like referral points, which are pretty much impossible to get if you have no friends/already invited all of your friends, Loyalty points if you can't afford to spend real money here, stats for your pet, wearables, plushies, beanbags, minions, old items that are super expensive or not even available, make the top prizes something like idk, natasha, wotp etc....but the chance is so tiny to get it....like 0.0001% or something and only 1 a year will go out? Or something completely new. People will still try....and it won't cause mad deflation because the prize pool is so huge and really, you can only use it once a day and it's a constant daily sink.
Or you know, just have an sP drive....get people to donate their sP for items/achievements/titles etc
I can obviously only speak for my own spending habits, but if I have to spend money, I'm going to want to get as much out of it as I can.
Some things I would spend on. Feel free to discard or expand on whatever.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
[li]Support for multiple minions, auto training, pet colors(of any kind really, maybe even an exclusive species), and avatar skins.
[li]If it's possible coding wise, being able to choose the color of my avatar base beyond whats already available/salon style.
[li]Old items re-released. Be it through a special shop, game, or whatever. The problem here is the prices of these old items. I won't pay Antique Shop prices for any one or two items. The prices of the items in the Zombie Den or the zapper fee are right up my alley though. When Skitters opened the shop up for non-zombies I went and bought one of whatever I already didn't have. Even the useless stuff like the dead flowers. I have no idea how much it cost me but it was a lot.
[li]Site layouts.
[li]I don't know if there's already an item like this since I don't battle much, but I might be willing to pay for it. An item or a buff that increases the amount of exp your pet gets by X percent for X amount of battles/time.
[li]Changing pet names
[li]Now I'm really reaching here, but maybe something like Intelligence training? Like for X amount of sP, your pet goes to the Library for so many hours and comes out with 1-2 more Intelligence points? Your pet can't do this and Jim's training at the same time. Prices go up with pet's intelligence.
[li]Maybe add a donate sP option to the Donation Center/Charity and add achievements for it. Not sure if it can be tracked by vouchers or not. Or there could be a chance of getting a random bluff that says something like "As thanks for your generosity Charity gives you a kiss on the cheek. You feel kind of lucky" that increases your chance of positive random events. The opposite could be "As you're about to hand over your sP, someone runs up and snatches it. Your day just keeps getting worse" with an increase of negative random events and/or a Battle challenger.
[li]There could be an option to bribe a Carnival worker for rigging the games in your favor.
[li]It seems like a good thing to do is take CSC perks and offer them for sP but you also don't want to take away people's reason for buying CSC. What about something like a MC reward card? The amount would be high of course. Every time you use it Saggi gives you a stamp and snide comment. When you complete it you get a prize and another snide comment.
[li]Looking at the GA perks it says you can add 5 more gifts to a box which is something I never knew. I'm not sure how many people utilize this but how about charging X sP for adding additional gifts with the price increasing for each extra gift.
[li]A mystery lottery like the potion one but for not potions. Maybe five winners instead of one. It could stock seasonally, Morostide items during Morostide. Probably best to avoid items under a certain rarity because I wouldn't want to be the person who spent thousands on tickets just to win a Battle Spork.
Really, I'm just clicking around and looking for things I might use. Trying to avoid things that would need new art but some suggestions are just going to need new art.
I like just about all of 's ideas but Intelligence training especially! YES PLEASE. Not even for the alchemy points for scrolls, just because I want my active pet to be able to grab an SAI job for the looks of it, not even because I ever remember to collect my pets' incomes.
they/them/theirs, please.
Absolutely LOVE the idea of paying for more pet minion slots!
Maybe there could be new battle opponents who spread diseases or poison the pets during a battle. Remedies could be a good sp sink because if you don´t heal your pet after the battle your stats could drop (50/50 chance). (:
Saggi may give out vouchers for the MC, Antique shop, forum shop, loyalty shop (or any other expensive shop) instead of sp during some of his quests (maybe 20% of his quests you get a voucher).
