Lots of children to work in sweat shops
[edit] PS I wouldn't mind Saggi being returned to a normal dbag so I can get my 1mil+ from him again, but whatever I don't care that much either way I'm still making money
Really? Saggi gave his best rewards for 98-99 rarity, and there are plenty of those around for 70-100k. I miss those.
Super rares are moving out of my shop less, which is making me unhappier than less profit from Saggitarius frankly. Why don't we put him back to how he was and drop the number of quests instead? that might be an option.
Uh I only get 10 quests from him without my GA now, so how about let's not drop the number of quests, thanks.
I really miss the old Saggy too. I really don't mind him changing if needed though.
BUT: I really think it can't be that the supposedly richest NPC on site gives less than a drunk in an alley! That's just ridiculous!
: didn't you search for a topic like this?
Thanks, hun! :-)
Personally, I though Saggi was meant to provide users with spending sP (among other things like keeping Super Rares super rare), yes? So making him more exclusive seems like a bad idea to me. Once Luminaire comes around almost all of us will need more sP (because they'll be spent on gifts), so saying "Well, you don't have 10 mil so tough luck" may come back to bite us later. ;-) Besides, it seems decidely un-Subetan (at least as far as I can tell) to shut out people for such a snobbish reason as "You're too poor? Well, too bad". It just doesn't fit with the kind, generous, helpful people (both staff and users) I've met here.
With the changes in restocking and quest rewards, his quests were not worth it for a while (asking for rares worth 200k and then giving out 50k...) so I'd rather have him ask for "junk" and pay out decently (not compared with his previous rewards, mind) than sinking my hard-earned sP. His only reward is sP and if that's not decent, no one will do his quests anymore, so the sP he pays out have to stay decent.
Besides, I thought the secret to being rich was not spending money like water? Maybe he's realized that? Or he's been throwing around sP so much that now he's got to economize a little? ;-) Seriously, if I can think of at least three plausible explanations for his change, I'm sure the staff will be able, too, if they consider it necessary.
Cheers! Lanara
In a way I like how he is now and in a way I don't. I like how all his quests now are more completable and he is now helping also take low priced items off the market. Besides that point he was meant to be a risky quest giver and he's not now. Maybe after a bit and the quests are done and the items he asks for are slowly raised in price that this will feel like a risk taking quest giver again.
I can agree with the point of wanting to feel like my 100m is worth more than it is. It doesn't really feel like much now.
I've stopped doing his quests, I've been losing quite a bit from him lately. I used to make ~3mil a day with all of the quests combined, and now I only make ~1.5 to 2mil
that's what the other quests are for though, we need to have a decent sink for SR items so they don't become just as worthless as normal items. I know fewer are going out because of the vending changes, but really if no one has a use for them, they're just going to stockpile in user shops.
Yeah, I know. I've seen my shop become kinda a stand still lately. The only thing I really sold over night was mage amulets and usually my SR items get sold or some do. All I said was I liked it because it was easier to complete his. Since we do need a SR sink he should go back to how he was.
@blackwolf_2009 them being easier to complete is pretty nice actually, and it probably makes me earn about the same now from them as I did before even with the smaller sP rewards I do agree he should go back to asking for more SR items though.
@blackwolf_2009 I'm not sure if it would work either, but I am sure there is some middle ground that can be reached.
@blackwolf_2009 maybe ask for 1-2 SR items instead of before where he asked for 2-4? idk if that would work either... who knows if it'll even change
I so would love Saggi to go back to his normal self. Doing his quests was kind of exciting. Now, it´s kind of scary. :-)

I was thinking. Maybe there could be another way of making Saggi special without ruining the economy. He could give decent sp prices just a notch above the usual high paying Quests like Maleria and Cursed but he could also give a chance to get something special once a day that does not go to economy like a chance at the Subeautique that goes straight into other currencies or one single free autopricing one could only use the day you got it and not later or one free autotrain or other stuff like that. It would also fit with his a bit odd personality. With that his quests would still be special and give users the chance to test features they usually don't use. On the other hand it would not ruin the economy because nothing would be added to the site one could sell or trade or otherwise use beyond a user bound gain. The cance could be very random and the risk would still be there if the item range he asked would continue to include rares and super rares with a notch higher chance for sp if he asks for them.
I feel like the initial discussion missed the crux of the issue; my high rarity items are deflating thanks to no reliable outlet in the economy. Honestly, I'd just like the quests reverted at this point. The prices of items in my shop are dropping fast and it's frustrating that nothing is being done about it.
This exactly.
