Saggi gave me 500k+ yesterday. Seems like it differs from user to user
I just got back 28k for turning in 3 rares. This level of inconsistency in payout isn't fun, it's frustrating.
I've been making a small profit off Saggi quests every day, but not much, and it's especially poor compared to the other quests. I'm getting a 3-500k off Saggi, every other quest gives that plus extra items/tokens (except Quentin who can give 1mil+ worth of amulets on a lucky day). rn Saggi's quite possibly the LEAST profitable quest, especially as the price of rares continues to rise.
I have no problem with smaller rewards if he asks also much cheaper items.
I suppose it's all an experiment. shrug
Okay, I got 530K+ right now. I think I have a theory: It´s not so much that Saggi was nerfed, than that the prices of the items he requests are unusual high. I think most of them weren´t this high before. The rewards seem (as a whole) too low. And I would agree if I wouldn´t get rewards above 200K like you too.
I have not kept what I earn or lose altogether when I've did his quests. I can keep up better the extent of what he requires and rewards. But unfortunatly I have got it too busy with my real life, to do this really. I hope the best man suffers not too much or too long from any permanent changes.
He deserves to get more populairity than he can muster at this time. Poor man. I feel just a bit sorry for him. (LOL)!
The 530K wasn´t by one quest but three or four. On one quest I got 200K+ though and had to spend maybe 50K on items. I had to quit half of the quests and lost money on the others. That´s why I think that he wasn´t nerfed that much but that the prices of items are too high. He WAS nerfed a while ago and gave out 800K regularly as a result. It´s much less than he used too give out but it was alright. I don´t really think that anything happened to him since then.
Today I get in total near the 450K profit without the sp I still have got already. quit 1 time. I did 9/10 quests.
Not bad at all :D
Edit:
Maybe I can try tomorrow do his quests at the same time.
(between 14:30 - 14:45 Subeta time). In the morning it seems he will reward less sp than in the aftyernoon.
I've actually quit doing Saggi quests. they just haven't been returning what they used to and he asks for high end items. I got it in the shorts to many times from him in a row. I figured his quests were futzed and I took a break. He has always been somewhat unstable. LOL but he's even more so now. His reliability in returning decent items or sps has been so low lately I can't risk my time or my resources. Carl and the library have much better return.
Saggi doesn't give items at all. Just sP. But you're right that his sP has been very wonky lately.
Your right... I just got excited typing... my bad!
I just did his quests. I made 303,667. I was able to do 10 of the 15 quests. Only 3 of those quests were profitable. When you're conservative in your spending(100kish for Saggi) and still lose out on most of his quests, it definitely makes it less fun.
Is the Saggitarius quest going to be looked at/adjusted further?
I don't think Saggi quests were intended to be consistently profitable, but with good risk management it will be profitable. At least he's not asking for millions worth of items per quest.
However, the amount of sP pumped into the economy seems like before the revamp.
(Theory 1(Invalid): He's still not enough awake in the morning at subeta time). I lost by one quest 50% of my sp I've spend on him. Maybe it's different in the morning at subeta time (s.t.), than in the afternoon. I'm not sure yet. It's now 8:22 AM s.t. It's in the morning. Maybe he's at this moment not awake enough.
Edit 1: The first theory is invalid. Because I made just 30K profits today by all his quests (that kind of a little profit fits more Cinthia) and I quit 5 times from 10 quests I did.
(Theory 2: There is a new kind of balance compare with other quest-givers) In relation to the higher rewards of Carl, Pete, Cursed and Maleria it's actually not as bad as he expressed less in his rewards than before, when other questgifers there have become more generous. Then everything would in itself be a bit of balance in what you can earn daily on sp. But that's what I suppose. I don't dare to say it is true.
If I have got right with my second theory, than he's less expressed, but you can still earn sp as before he's changed or the prices are higher. In this case it is unfortunate that his personality becomes somewhat less pronounced. But it does so perhaps apart from the possibility of what you can earn on sp.
Theory 3: It could also depend on the general prices of the items who are more high than usual? But I'm still not sure if that's the only thing. Because it's new his rewards are more often below 100K.
Edit: Today I quit 1 time and I get near the 300K profits. I seems he just doesn't like too many times of quit and suspiciousness, but that's not proved enough. It's could be also a matter of luck or bad-luck.
When I speak for myself, I make more concern about his persona, than to the number of sp in profits I get from him. Clear.
I can't say this enough - PLEASE fix Saggi! Make him profitable again! Not just every odd day but on a consistent basis like he was BEFORE that event where he was giving books out for a week as an additional prize! WHY did you have to go and change the ONE quest that was supposed to be the most profitable?!?

I have my good days and bad days with sagg. Its totally random for me. Some days I can complete maybe 2 for profit. Other days its like 10 @.@

It's gotten to the point where Sag quests are hardly worth doing any more. I used to be able to complete maybe 8-12 out of 15 quests, now I'm lucky if I can do 2-5 of them. And I've lost SPs on a lot of his since he's giving back less than half what he used to but asking for the same stuff. Honestly I make more doing Wizard and Carl quests than Sag, which is sad. And on a side note, Quentin quests have gotten a lot worse also. I mostly lose SPs on her quests now where as I used to break even and get an amulet or 2.

I stopped doing them when this thread was created... Figured I'd wait and see. Finally tried them again and... Wow. Even with the deflated prices of Super Rares, they are still too expensive for me to make a worthwhile profit.
I am struggling to see what the point of Saggitarius is now. I thought he was meant to take Super Rares off the market and help maintain a certain price range, but his rewards don't support that goal. If there is evidence that he is putting too much sP back into the system then other prizes should to be considered. Maybe a small chance at currently unbuyable items (old event items or retired items). I don't know. Personally I'd be happy if the sP prizes were returned to what they were before.
Omg. This is frustrating... Under 100k for four items One day he pays out, the next day I lose sp Getting very annoying :/
I think part of the experience with drastically low rewards comes down to the Saggi revamp but also how users approach Saggi quests now. I'm normally getting 300k-500k per day from him and have even had a couple of days where I've gotten closer to 1M. It took some time to work out a good way to approach his quests after the revamp, but he can still be consistently profitable dependent on how you go about working his quests (don't lose hope!). It's much more of a chore now though than it used to be, and some days I just don't really feel like putting in the work needed with Saggi when other quest givers provide the same reward for much less time spent finishing each quest.
The one thing that concerns me is the drop in the super rare market related to the Saggi revamp. Prices seem to be down quite a bit, which granted is good when it comes to helping with Saggi quest profits. The demand seems so low now though that super rare items are selling for a small fraction of normal rares in a number of cases (I've noticed them sitting in my shop stock for longer than normal now too in some cases). Hopefully there is a solution in the works to get prices in line with their respective rarities, but since that will then impact Saggi quests by further limiting reward output that would likely lead to another Saggi revamp too. :P
