What or who dictates who is part of a private release? I see so many CW's that were private that I'd die to have and I just don't understand how it works and why or how certain people get certain CW's while others will never see them. Can someone clue me in?

It's all in knowing the right people I think - specifically the creators/commissioners of the items. Lots of privates are reserved for people who are either friends of the creator/commissioner or people who are seen as regular, loyal customers.

Ahh, I see. It just seems if it's a friend thing it can be subject to abuse. Like "cliques" made up of those who spend the most on the site and know one another, almost shutting the multitude of the user base out. Or maybe I'm seeing it incorrectly. :/

But I guess if you have enough money to throw into the site you don't have to be shut out. :P I guess I'm going to have to start putting more money in. I do all quests religiously everyday and have a GA but still don't make nearly enough to convert to CSC to keep up with the more prominent part of the CW market.

No you're definitely seeing it correctly. It's a problem the CW system has faced since its inception, actually. e_e Quite unfortunate, but that's how things usually are in many places, not just subeta.

Sorry you have to go through all this though - I'd imagine it's harder for a newcomer to infiltrate the market nowadays, especially with the inflation of csc. My advice is to just be out there more and interact with creators. Make yourself be known. And who knows, you can make some long-lasting friends along the way too.

I've actually been here for over 3 years, believe it or not. o.o It literally is just that hard to navigate the market.

I suppose I will have to be a bit more vocal, I've always been a more quiet member that usually sticks to trades and re-sale for CW's, but I do want in on the more exclusive CW's (Especially since face layers are my favorite, and the most beautiful face layers tend to be private CW's) Now to find who is making all these pretty face layers...I wish every CW had a footnote at the end of their description with the comissioner's names! It'd make things so much easier.

I myself have some private Cw's that I have bought from Friends that I have made on here since I started to buy Cw's and I am in their private groups I have slotted for items with other people many a time and I am not able to buy their privates.I would not say it is a Clique it is just that the people with privates like to keep their items to 1 or 2 batches that way the market is not flooded.

When and if you start to buy from the people who slot for a Cw they got made for them they will get to know you and some of them may invite you to join their private group if you have been in their ping group and buying from them that is how it started for me.

I bought a wig at an auction and a friend and I released it in many colors but we only had one private,Also if you can afford it you can buy csc with real cash there is a new loyalty card out just now which (For every 1000 credits you purchase through Paypal or Stripe, you'll receive a shiny new stamp on it.

For each stamp you will earn Loyalty Points (LP) in ascending value to spend in the loyalty shop - stamp 1 is 1 point, stamp 2 is 2 points and so forth. Completing a card awards you 5 bonus LP, bringing the total for completing a card to 60LP.With those points you can buy from the loyalty shop There is a bonus on csc just now of 15% bonus credits on top of your purchase.) So that is another way to get csc instead of sp.

How can someone tell the difference between a private and non-private CW? I often browse the beta wardrobe for items and I end up seeing something I like only to go to the shop and see that it's private, then there's a lot of items I have on my WL that I found this way and aren't even available anywhere and I always wonder which ones are private and that I have no chance of getting. Is there any way to know?

You can usually find out if an item was public by googling something like "ITEM NAME Subeta". If it was slotted on a board and not just placed into a shop, you'll find an old board for it most of the time.

If you can't find anything on it, ask on the Custom Wear Identity thread and maybe someone else will know.

It does suck that there are so many 'privates'. Not everyone can make friends so easily with these creators, etc.. Or have the money to keep buying from someone just to be on that list.. But it can't be helped I guess. But sometimes you can get in luck, where someone happens to sell the item, or will trade for something you have.

I think it's kind of rude to see the point of being friends with these people is to get their private CWs... It's extremely understandable why people would want to release items to just their friends.

You're seeing it incorrectly. I won't be friends with anyone I don't like, so the friendship would be real, not manufactured if it were there.

I have two private CWs and it's just because they're meant to be very special items that went to close Subeta friends. I had a very bad experience with one CW, which I won't go into detail with, other than that was basically the end of my excursion into CWs and the private ones thereof.

No, I don't think I am. I know what you were actually saying. Sorry, I just haven't slept and was just trying to say that it can be interpreted as that way very easily.

I've heard that when it gets into CW's you can deal with some unpleasant people and situations. I had a friend that is active in CW's and had an unpleasant experience or two herself.

I have no desire to venture into that madness again. x___x;

Subeta has started rolling out such amazing items that it feels like CW's are slowly becoming obsolete. At least to me. The only place in which CW's beats them is in face layers, which is what I am trying to go after anyways. :P

Tbph, I think the CW artists were showing up the official art so much that Subeta felt they had to step up their game.

It feels blasphemous to say, but tbh I agree.

I would rather see Subeta make items like some CW's on-site. Since technically Subeta has the rights to them. that way it's obtainable for EVERYONE. and people don't have to feel so left out. I can understand certain items that were meant to be like tributes or something very special.. But there's lots of items that I don't see why it couldn't be a nice-ish thing to just share. o3o

Or seeing some CW's go for 3k + CSC. That's... crazy..
