- I've definitely noticed an improvement today where restocks are concerned. I was also pleased to find that the majority of the quests I did asked for cheap items. I was even able to do most of Carl's quests. (Yesterday, most of the items he asked for were over 100K)
I feel like I've been seeing this same exchange again and again for weeks, and I have to wonder if it's related to the shop search changes? Now that you can insta-buy items from the shop search, restockers have a ton more competition from all the people passively buying these items while questing. There's a chance that you're not seeing anything because you're suddenly competing with 10x more people than you were back when restocking was its own thing. Maybe that's why restocking has gotten so difficult?
And that would also mean that those items are immediately being taken out of circulation by quests. They don't have time to sit in user shops and pull prices down. So the people who point to those prices as proof that rare items don't restock anymore aren't entirely correct, but there's also a bit of merit to those claims.
Maybe? Idk.
- Do you track whether those items are being restocked via the shop search page or through the NPC shops? That would be interesting data to have in this discussion.

Many normal and rare items aren't worth restocking because they are never or hardly ever asked for in quests.
I'm slightly confused about all the complaints about the quality of restocking yesterday. I had a whale of a time. I bought so much stuff! Even with the extra competition from everyone questing, it was one of the most successful days worth of restocking I've had in a while (although, I judge success in this case by the number of items worth a decent resell price, rather than the number of rare/super rares/items with a high resell value).
I'm not sure how helpful that would be. I end up buying things through the shop search than the NPC shops more often than not. I check the prices of just about everything I buy, and it's slightly easier and faster to buy it on the shop search page than change tabs back to the shop and buy it there.
- yesterday I was in NPC shops when they Restocked Now and nothing new had come in. In the end I gave up and went over to my FB games. Maybe things improved after I'd gone.
I'm not after super rares all the time - I want things that I can make a reasonable profit on and which sell quickly because they are asked for in quests. Items under 100K sell a lot faster than items of 100K+
Hmm. I move around shops one at a time, rather than refreshing at certain places, so I can't say much for how things were coming in, but stuff was definitely moving. I'd frequently buy all of one item and see it stocked again later. Things were a bit poor yesterday morning, but they did improve significantly before midday UK time.
- I was gone by midday UK time because I'd been on for several hours. Today has been a lot better but I've still not seen anything useful come into the Toy or Atebus shops.
HEY, I DECIDED TO GO AND RECORD MY SUPER RARES, WOO
First, around 23:45, I got the 16th quest from the wizard, and it ended with this
Second, here are the rares/super rares I got from all of the quest people. Keep in mind that I do both Sarah and Saggi and that I had to skip two Cinthias (which didn't really matter, as she didn't give me a single Rare or Super Rare)
Pretty much, Maleria was the best. Pete and Alexander also were pretty good! I was surprised at Pete giving me three rares in a row!
Aside from Cinthia, Quentin could qualify for the worst, but I also got four amulets from them today, and three yesterday, so I'll let it slide.
- How on earth are you doing both Saggi and Sarah?!!
I started my day with 315K on hand, so I do Sarah's quests first.
My order today was
Sarah-Mori-Pete-Maleria-Alexander-Saggi-Cinthia-Carl-Quentin-Wizard.
At the end of my quests, I had 2.4M on hand, and had 1.2M on hand by the time I got to Saggi, thanks to Maleria and Pete.
Right now, I have 7M on hand, which I'm going to blow on wishlist stuff a little before midnight, so that I can start with Sarah again today, and rinse and repeat!
It's working for me because I have so little pure SP in the first place. That's not something that's doable for people who have hundreds of millions in the bank!
- Aaah! I see! I have a little nest egg (about 20mil) in my bank that I use for buying up stuff from Holiday/event shops. I assumed you had a lot more sP stock piled. Now I understand, you toggle between the price ranges! That makes more sense now :)
Well I usually do but I went on a wishlist shopping spree just before my vacation, so when questathon was announced, I had a big 54K to my name, which was just perfect.
Also, I discovered that there is a no man's land where you are too rich for Sarah, and not rich enough for Saggi. This is stupid.
- Really?! I thought it was either or. Hm...that is annoying. How big of a no man's land are we talking??
I was denied from doing Sarah's last night when I had 513K on hand. So, I'm pretty sure Sarah is >500K.
Saggi is 750K and up for sure
So, I'm pretty sure that you can't do either if you're between 500 001 and 749 999 but I need to test further.
Someone should suggest to get rid of the gap, tbh
Sarah's is under 500k :) I do both quests, too--the only reason I'm able is because I decided I wanted the Sarah quest achievements so I blew the ~200m I had in my vault/on hand on plushies, beanbags, and the 30% discount card about a week and a half ago pffft. Worked out to be good timing! Now I'm just letting my shop till pile up for use when I get the achievement :)
I hate to play this card, but I know I'm not the only one who mostly buys my gold account for the extra vending (and autopricer to price those items). I can see a lot of people not renewing their GA if rare items cannot be vended anymore. It's just not profitable for us to buy 650-1000 wizard tokens (depending on whether we do wizard quests that day) a day when all we receive are cheap items.
Just pointing out something that will happen because of this.
We'd rather replace the GA bonus with something else, then :).
