was released via the Tortyrant challenger on 06/26/15 12:58 pm. It still hasn't been given stats.
This is a common problem. Sometimes it takes multiple WEEKS for a weapon to get assigned stats.
Cash shop challengers have been a thing for a while now. Admins know they're coming. It's an ongoing gripe in the battle chat, but no real explanation has been given that I've seen.
Staff should be planning ahead, or at least on the ball when the weapons are released.

"later this month"
"no wait, later the month after this one"
"We need to check with the programmers what can be done"
I saw the weapon for the first time the day of its release. I can always throw boring generic stats on it then, but for weapons dropped by CS opponents I try to come up with some custom coding. It takes a few days to come up with something fitting.
Regardless, the statting of loot is far down on the list of things to get done. I might get to it tonight if I have the time.
Is that the case for all releases like this? It seems like it should be a priority to ensure that the BAs can do their job and stat weapons before they are released on site.
Don't the artists (or whoever else is in charge?) let you know the challenger will be dropping a weapon? Why does is seem like you guys are always as surprised as we are when these things happen?
I mean theoretically you should be able to plan stats -- for both the challenger and its loot -- before you even see the artists' early design sketches, right?

You mean a weapon's power doesn't depend on what they look like ??? my whole life is a lie

I'm pretty sure that BAs are the ones to decide if a weapon is given or not, which makes this even more baffling.
I seriously wonder what other things are on your list though

Maybe they're still stating all minions by hand for the whole minion battling thing. :/
