yeah this could be really cool, i agree that it shouldn't be between every single experiment but a select few that the artists think could work well in other colors…
i also agree though that people have different tastes and so many people would love to see a cute experiment like the sloth or the octopup or the pandamoth become a real pet, while others would love to see a more "badass" experiment like the sharklobster or the crocosaur or the rhinotank win, and others still might want the squid or the landwhale or the peacockdeer… there's just so much variety amongst the experiments that it almost seems unfair to just pick one, but picking several would be like whoa.
I'd be totally interested in this happening~
I WANT CAMEL TOO. he totally deserves to win.
And his lore could be like, "he may look hideous, but you can ride him everywhere. even on top of water. yeah, he's a magical camel."

Yes please. I need in galactic. A space squid. Who doesn't want a space squid?
I guess I like the atmosphere of this idea better than I like the idea. Mostly this is for selfish reasons. I love my experiment pet, (leashed), and am doing my own personal recolors. I've already done one or two and plan on more. I don't want anyone else to have this pet in the same colors as me. :p
BUT I do like the general idea of having new experiment pets in multiple colors. Though I think it would be neat to have them come in colors from the other threads like aurora, beach colored and the ones from battling. Then we could have voting/ or the users involved somehow! Like maybe something happens and the zapper starts churning out multiple colors of the same pet, and they're just running out willy nilly from it. Or maybe the pets are trapped and if we used battling colors maybe we'd have to battle something to get them freed? Haha, just ideas.. I like the idea of helping Euclid design a new pet, that's really cool too.
Thinkin' about it, I'd be pretty down to see or as pets, they're two of my favorite that aren't of the super elaborate variety. ( as well because hey, colorful spider-bug! Galactic can weave us a web of stars or something.)
I am torn on this issue. As someone with 11/25 pets being experiments (or zapping to become an experiment), I ALWAYS love me some experiment action. Or just Euclid action. And it would be neat if, like, whatever experiment becomes a normal species, to get elixirs, Euclid has to accidentally zap items in your inventory or something. That's neat.
Downside? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE!? I HAVE 11 SO FAR, AND SO HELP ME, IF I CAN COME UP WITH MORE CHARACTERS, I WILL HAVE MORE EXPERIMENTS. HOW CAN I PICK JUST ONE TO BECOME A NORMAL SPECIES!? And even though I love making custom overlays for my experiment pets, I dunno... I kinda like them just coming in scribble and chibi.
THOUGH... this makes me reconsider:
I never knew I needed this in my life until now. o_O These are amazing ideas... like, wow. Yes. Good. More please.
Given how many people on this thread seem to be MORALLY OPPOSED to the idea of a new "cute" pet, the odds of one of the cutesy-looking pets actually winning is lower than you make it out to be. Showing a little optimism in exchange for expanding the pet roster won't kill you, really. So, full steam ahead, I say. (my personal list of Experiments I Would Love to See Canonized is , , & also Howl's moving castle reference!5162, AKA The Thing I Never New I Needed Until Now)
There are literally less than 40 people who posted on this thread. That's not a representative sample.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure something like the has way more changes to win than Sharklobster, and has more chance than the pile of goop.
Nightmare ? Storm ? Reborn ? Awwww <3
General favorites like , or however would not interest me at all in other colors so, should we get an event like this, I'd hope for more diversity and not just a beauty contest.
If it were only on this thread I wouldn't have said anything at all. I've seen similar attitudes mirrored on the "which pets need a revamp" thread as well as a handful of others. The not conventionally adorable experiments may actually have a fighting chance is all I'm getting at
