it&;s just that it feels like you&;re pretty out of luck if you didn&;t hoard stat boosters beforehand, or if you don&;t have millions upon millions to spend on boosters.

This. Just because some users hoarded a ton of boosters, that doesn't mean the rest of the site has. I thought the site was trying to get away from hoarding but this sort of just promotes it. I mean I use my boosters on Toh, so now it's going to be incredibly hard to get more boosters for her because of shinwa.

I have been getting less boosters but I still get them. I got Essence of Shinwa yesterday and Shinwas Goblet today. I always thought it was weird to get a daily booster.

I enjoyed the daily booster from Shinwa. I am behind the game on training my pet (taking a long hiatus will do that to you but such is life) and I was thrilled to be getting extra tomes and boosters to help the process along a little quicker.

I didn't know that Shinwa's extras were a "temporary" thing at all, so when they stopped coming, I started to wonder what was up. That's not cool. I had to go hunting to find an answer - one that should have been announced in the news as a heads up with the revamp. I think sometimes staff forgets that not everyone has been here for years (or if they have, they might have come and gone and come again so they missed a bit, or a lot) and that we DO need open, public reminders that things are changing.

[edit] Also, changing the training to giving 1 point of boost each time you train? Diabolical!!! D8

Boosters were too cheap because people don't use them, they sell them and only a handful of users buy them off the shops and constitute massive hoards. That's not what the double item from Shinwa was meant for

It was at a point where it would cost more to train than to use boosters for some people and that's plain nonsensical. Boosters were always meant to be the fast but expensive way to train and we are not quite there anymore. Staff have also made it clear they want the new cap to take a long time to reach, and this further goes in this direction.

Everyone got over two years of a measure that was meant to be temporary, that's something to be grateful for. Instead, baww baww. Meh.

- Okay, say I agreed with this, which to some degree, okay, I do (because I see your point and it's very valid), but that still doesn't negate the fact that there should have been a public warning of some sort. At the very minimum a "Hey, this measure was meant to be temporary but it was left in place much longer than we intended and so with this revamp we will be reverting Shinwa's quests back to the way they should operate."

Not everyone knew this was meant to be temporary, is what I'm getting at. I know I sure didn't, because I just returned from 'hiatus love me long time' XD

So.... why were we not informed of this change? Why did I have to join a forum group in order to be pinged towards this? Because this is a pretty significant change that all users should be aware of.

Very unhappy about that. I had no idea this was a "temporary" measure at all.

I haven't gotten any boosters in about a week now. Probably it's my f'd luck as usual. I wonder if each item is evenly weighted. Around half Shinwa's items should be boosters, and that should be a decent chance to get some per week. I don't remember stretches of this long happening except extremely rarely way back then when Shinwa gave only one item per day.

My bf just joined about 4 weeks ago and has been trying to "figure out" quests, and I've been SOL trying to help. "Well the prizes you get from that one where one thing last week, but now they're different, and I heard somewhere they were changing this thing? But maybe they changed it back?" Are quests supposed to be a mystery? I mean, sometimes I get the vibe they just don't want us to know and approach it as a trial and error thing since it's daily. Idk, I just... want some info haha.

[edit] I have been pretty unlucky with Shinwa's quest too, I might go back to ignoring her quests for a while. Maybe she could give out a quest point every once in a while instead of a double item? It would be nice to have some variety and sweeten the pot in a way that won't devalue items.

Pisspoor communication is never something that users should be expected to feel grateful for.

Communication? So their supposed to tell us everything, like what kind of laptop Keith uses or what kind of key boards Amber or Pie use? What kind of coding they use for the Explorer map or for the vending machines? What about what the staff ate for breakfast? What about showering? Should Keith stop showering all together just to save time on fixing stuff here?-just examples. HAHAHAHAHAH AHHHHH ❤

What the fuck even :|

The siteupdate group was made to alert users to "minor" changes (basically things not quite big enough to warrant a news post), and was still not used when a minor change was made. It's not so much to ask to actually be alerted when changes like this are made, when we have a ping group specifically for alerting us to changes like this

Staff should communicate about the changes that actually impacts game play

And if staff is going to post about a change being made, they should post in a place and/or manner that is going to ensure that the majority of those impacted by the change are aware of it.

I can not whatsoever imagine that it would have hurt anything should the siteupdate group gotten a ping for this.

Minor changes that are minor enough to not be in the news.

see this makes no sense.

Shinwas quests ARENT actually extra quests.

2ndly, ignoring her means 0% chance. lol. any chance is better than none.

3rd. back to point one. You're getting a chance at a free booster for doing something you were already going to do. Shinwa does not make you lose out/do anything extra. You still get the usual quest rewards.

communication part IS an issue. the other stuff, i feel like people are just bandwagonning other issues.

I've gotten a couple of boosters, but mostly junk myself. Today I didn't even get a Shinwa-related item! XS I got THIS:

YES! You've managed to find all the pieces to my bracelet! To thank you for this, I am giving you one of my very special items!

That's not even Shinwa-related! Why is she giving that out now?!? XS

Please change her back!

Edit: I also want to enforce the point that Shinwa isn't really a quest, but an errand. Just because you're not doing things for her but going to other quest-givers to get her bracelet pieces back. It's just a bonus.

Wasn't Gold Helmet added at the same time as the laurels, meaning that if we remove them, we also remove three stat boosters due to being logical.

the laurels are not Shinwa themed either, yet they're some of her potential rewards.

Based on SL from old to newest list, I assume they were the original rewards. They all have that Greekish Romanesque Generic vibe to them.

Petty sure she's given that out for as long as i can remember. It's not new, or even related to the changes made.
