Maybe it's time a topic was made in Site Feedback because staff are obviously ignoring the question here.
Staff has already said no several times regarding self sticking. But with the antique store now sticking directly to your album, this might be a good time to re-think the subject.
The folks over at the Collaboration Sticker Sticking Board, myself included, do love stickering people though. In 173 pages I have not seen anyone complain they didn't get their stickers. Even when I accidentally stuck a multi-mill sticker to a friend instead of the intended stickee (the screen jumped on me just as I clicked), I purchased another one of it myself to stick to the right person. Most folks there are happy to stick large lots as well. Whoever's on-line when you post will let you know what they can do. Really it's no bother.
OK, so people in that topic are honest. It doesn't mean that some unlucky person couldn't get scammed by somebody, though. This is why people want to know what insurance Subeta provides against sticker scamming.
There definitely is no insurance. Subeta will freeze/ban the scammer but that's it, which is why I agree it is high time to re-think this issue.
So many folks mentioned that they didn't want to bother people though, I felt it needed to be pointed out that it's a pleasure, not a bother for a bunch of us :D
So I'm supposed to feel awkward and uncomfortable bothering people because "people enjoy it" while they probably don't (more like, they don't want things to change har har) just so I can sink money into the site to collect something?
Or I can just, not collect things that require me to feel weird :'D!
What I'd really like, is to disable the ability for people to stick me, I don't have ANY desire to work on this collection ever and I'd love to be able to remove the stupid stickers in my collection (that I never asked for, nor do I want) and disable the ability to be stickered by others. So I can then, 100% ignore this collection that staff don't want me to work on.
Sometimes I'll find a random sticker (yo, thank you quest rewards) that I want stuck in my album. I really don't want to have to wait to find someone to stick it for me. I did ask once before, after my friend who loved sticking random stickers for me quit playing, and it took around three days before I got anyone. I waited until I had ten stickers and made a trade. By that time I had forgotten I made the trade and no longer wanted the stickers but I let them stick me anyway. That was awkward for me.
I just end up hoarding any stickers I like and selling the rest. Mostly falls on the selling them part.

It's fine that staff wants it to be a social option, but if they're not going to provide support for people who get scammed, then there should absolutely be a self-sticking option. I'd be fine with it being GA, or paying for the option to self-stick, just give me something where I don't feel awkward and worry about the safety of my stickers. I mean, staff doesn't even have any achievements for the people who are doing all the work in sticking others so remind me again how this is encouraged as social when there's little benefits for the person doing the sticking? A brief thanks and that's it? I wouldn't have a problem with this staying how it is if there was insurance that we'd get our stickers back if scammed and if there were achievements for the people actually doing the hard work so I didn't feel like I was mooching off their generosity. Right now though, it seems like an odd label for something that's not in fact very social.
Yeah, I'd like that better, tbh
Oh, I agree that change is overdue on the sticker albums. Waaaay overdue.
Good point. Players should have the option to not accept stickering just like they can opt out of receiving random gifts. So that sticker-philes like me don't randomly bomb them with unwelcome stickers. I'm totally guilty of picking random users, usually newbies, and loading 20 or more stickers into their albums.
Self stickering is already a thing with the antique shop direct to collections, so it's silly not to have a self stickering option for Stick it to the Man's shop at the very least.
There really is no way to refund sticker value, or replace uber-rare stickers lost to scammers, that I can think of, so we NEED another option.
Perhaps a sticker club. An NPC who will sticker you for a fee when you join the "club".
YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT?
The ability to not allow people to sticker me if they're not my friends. I'm so sick of randos giving me stickers I already have that have already been ordered and then OH LOOK NOW IT'S BACK AT THE BOTTOM OF MY GODDAMN ALBUM AGAIN. Thank you. So Much. Not.
I don't have a problem with asking people sticker me. No not at all. But when random people sticker me when I don't want them to and jack up my album, I'm not amused. Because for anyone that has an album of more than 50 stickers, that shit is a pain to organize. Just saying.
