Just because someone doesn't mind being bothered doesn't automatically mean other people are just going to magically like bothering others.
This is that whole Zombie Den crap all over again. Yeah yeah some old zombies don't mind being asked to buy others stuff but the majority of people don't really like having to do that-- we don't find it fun. However in this case, letting people stick themselves doesn't take away from letting people stick others too.
So that's a stupid argument to make.
Can you really file a ticket if someone doesn't stick you? I thought staff would do nothing about it, since you agreed on giving them the items. If yes, then I'm really glad to hear that. It'd be too stupid to make a feature where you have to give random people 100m+ worth of items and it was totally not against the rules if they decided to scam you.
Wow, that's bullshit if that's how it's handled :L I had been under the impression that if an agreement was made that the stickers were for sticking to you, and they didn't follow through that you could file a ticket for it (though now I'm not sure where I heard that or anything, so maybe it was my mistake). Regardless, you shouldn't need a fucking law degree to decode the rules on a pet site.
That's how it works with lending items for achievements so yeah, I guess it's the same with stickers x_x Seriously, it makes no fucking sense. If the only way to work for a collection is being social the least they could do is make it a rule and do something if you get scammed. At the moment is "you have no friends? LOL SORRY RISK YOUR MILLIONS GIVING THEM TO RANDOM STRANGERS AND PRAY YOU DON'T GET SCAMMED", which seems completely unnecessary to me.
That's crap, tbh. I mean yeah, I could probably name a dozen users right now that I wouldn't necessarily consider friends that I would trust with my stickers. But if you found the site by yourself and aren't really a forum user, then what? You could end up with anybody and you wouldn't know one way or another not to trust them with your stickers :L
Oh, gosh. I would totally pay for the ability to stick myself. Like some of you said, even if there are people who are willing to stick for others, it doesn't mean we will stop feeling bad/awkward/nervous about asking. I've asked before, and people have been helpful, but I still felt bad, and stopped asking. I haven't been adding anything to my sticker album for almost two years (though I suppose I should be thankful since some of the old stickers got really inflated xD).
Besides, I hardly made any friends through sticking, nor my friendship with my existing friends were strengthened by sticking in any way...Well, maybe I'm just a horrible person xD, but I really don't see why this was such an insisted and wonderful way for people to socialize.

I would totally support this as a gold account perk. Like many people here, I had assumed that if somebody ran off with my stickers I could file a ticket. If that's not the case...that's pretty disturbing.
From what I've heard the person who takes the stickers will get in trouble/frozen but I don't think the site will give you your stickers back. :c
Oh man, it would be awesome as a gold account perk. I'd support that like madsauce.
Count me among those who feel really awkward asking people to stick them. Even if it's a board specifically for that purpose, I still feel weird about it. Usually I just make a trade lot and I've been fairly lucky with that, but the thought that nothing would be done if someone stole my stickers is a little unsettling.
The fact that people refer to asking others for stickers as "bothering them" shows that this is just not an effective social tool. Whether it would bother you personally does not matter. The mere fact that we associate bothering with stickers is the point here.
I totally support having the normal option to stick others as well as an sP sink way to stick yourself.
If a user can control where the stickers go in their collection, and stickers show up in our account worth as our own items, then why the Hell should we have to give our items to other people just to use them for their intended purpose (to put them in our own collections)? Especially if there is no assured way to do this for people who are not as social as others. And this is coming from someone who HAS a sticker buddy. I love being able to randomly send my buddy stickers. But I would also love a way to stick the more expensive ones to myself.
If that's the case it's an appalling situation. As we're forced to use other people we should have full protection against scamming. If Subeta can't supply that we should have the option to add stickers to our own albums.
What bothers me about the "you can't stick them yourself, you have to ask someone else" is ... if your stickers get scammed, you are apparently not protect because asking someone to stick your stickers is at your own risk. I always assumed that it was under protection of staff since you don't have another option. But then I actually got my stickers scammed I made a ticket and asked about this and they only returned my stickers because the person apparently did something else wrong as well and ended up frozen. But I only got my stickers back because of this unique situation.
Using a site feature as it is shouldn't be "at your own risk". If the site feature forces you to put your items at risk for the sake of being "social" then it should be protected.
[edit] Should have read the whole topic first because people commented about this already. I used to be okey with asking others to stick for me, but after the discovery that it's at your own risk? NOPE.

I would love to be able to stick stickers into my own album myself - not just so that I'm not hassling people to stick masses for me, but also because there's sometimes that one sticker that I have wishlisted for a treasure chest, that someone kindly buys then sticks into my album because they think they're doing me a favour facepalm If we could stick stickers into our own albums, then that would also help eliminate any confusion like that, as if I wanted it in my album, I could add it myself then ;)

It would be really nice if we could at least get an official answer from Subeta staff on the question of what happens if somebody doesn't stick us. Is there a particular staff member who deals with these things? Should I file a ticket and ask?

People want to know what protection they have from being scammed if someone keeps a sticker they were sent to put in the sender's album. Will the sender get their sticker back if they make a ticket for it? After all, it wouldn't be fair to make the sticker album system be at our own risk when we don't have the option of adding stickers to our own albums.
I would totally pay to be able to stick myself.
SP sink, ftw.
I was unaware of the lack of protection that was going on with stickers. If the site is going to make asking others our only option to put stickers in our album, then there needs to be a real form of security going on. There are certain stickers out there that cost millions of SP and I will be damned if Im about to spend that much just to get scammed and the site not give me back my item, because I did it at "my own risk". This is not a matter of "doing it at my own risk", your forcing me to use this to get the collection, and thats unfair. Either let us stick our own collections, or set up a real form of security to protect us from being scammed.
- Could you please let people know what happens if they get scammed. Do players have full protection against losing their stickers seeing as we have no choice but to use other people for this collection?
I'd also like to hear what sort of protection is being offered against scamming.
I have a sticker buddy but like a lot of other people, I have a hard time asking her to stick large quantities of stickers, even though she says she has no issue with it. I just feel bad because she doesn't have as many as I do and I hate putting that sort of work on her.
I'd pay a fee to stick myself, naturally, because that would eliminate the middle man and even though I don't have to worry about my stickers being scammed currently, I also wouldn't have to worry about it in the event my sticker buddy drops off of Sub for whatever reason in the future.
