So I guess these monthly themes are okay and all, but I suggested an Elwood Month - you know, where I could announce everything, give away awesome prizes, increase my overall public profile- and they gave me a bunch of sassmouth about it! "You're still a character? Why didn't you mention it for April? It could have been paired up with your fake holiday. Wait, don't you have your hands full with that haunted bakery or whatever?"
Fake holiday!? Or whatever!? They know damn well it's a pizza parlor filled with murderous robots! A haunted bakery doesn't even make any sense! Well whatever, apparently Elwood isn't good enough for them, but they can devote a whole month to the Sacred Lands- you know, the place he used to live before he got revamped off the ol' map. Seems kind of like adding insult to injury, if you ask me.
What do you kids think of the monthly themes?
I really love the monthly themes! Experiment pet month and Sacred Lands month are my favs so far :D I can't wait to see what else they have in store for later months!
Poor Elwood. :(
I like the monthly themes. Not all of them have interested me but I love the idea of them and Idk it makes the months seem really... full of stuff, I guess, even when there's no event going on. It makes the site feel more active to me.
I think they're a good idea.
Aw it's quite a shame... we need a month long Wood theme... I DIG THE WOOD MAN!!!!
Though honestly I am loving these themes so far, they have been pretty awesome and it's nice to see some locations and certain shops and features getting some much needed attention! Cannot wait to see what the next 7 months and their themes will be.
-fingers crossed for Battle themed month-
With the way things are going, you might see some battle things pop up this month! x:
Nooooo don't get my hopes up... they are already sky high... ;-;
I'm loving the themes so far. I think if I really had to say I wanted a specific theme, it would be something in the Arctic (hint hint, December ^ ^)
Battle month, battle month, gooble gobble.
Elwood isn't your shop in Sacred Lands? Or... where is your pizza parlor...
My favorite month so far has been the Experiment month! That was very cool.
Not that keen on them. Some themes get so much more attention than the others so it's been pretty unbalanced. And most of the themes don't interest me (chibi for example, I hate everything chibi) one bit. But that's just my opinion!
I like the idea of themes, especially for the summer months that do not have annual events.
But I thought it was lame that it was Chibi month during Vesnali, so we got Chibi Experiments rather than new/revamped Glade pets.
Anyways!
I like the themes, and I'm curious as to what all will be included. I'm really hoping some more loregiving themes are touched upon (like NPCs/the Races/Leaders/Different lands-- because there's so much they can do with that, playing off the cruises with foods and customs, and new skins?? Not to mention different fashions from different places), and yeah obviously battle month. I'd love to see a pet month too, in theory, but I know it wouldn't result in more pet slots so equally I'd kinda rather not see it happen because I know it'd just get my hopes up.
I'd also really like to see a collectible based month, AND LIKE A STUFF MONTH Y'KNOW?
Where users get tons and tons of all that random TC fodder crap we keep making boards for but rarely end up seeing because it's a lot of work or there really isn't a place to put it or a time to release it (bird bathes, new food, medical supplies, wheelchairs, outfits that make the HA look more shapely, facial changing features like crows feet or jawlines, victrola record players, kitchen wear, pigeons...). Just a month dedicated to stuff. Stuffed stuff, food stuff, face stuff, stuff to put stuff in, stuff to beat things up with, stuff to beat up, stuff to do medical stuff with, and so on. I feel like Elwood could definitely host that month of stuff, he seems well qualified.
Hopefully his own day, though. Unless those crazy robotics don't kill him first... not that they would do that, no
I have always wondered why we get one day for Elwood and then nothin'. More Elwood, yes please. xD
I like the concept of themes, and wouldn't mind things changing up every once in a while from what we're used to. Some year I'd like April to be not!baby theme month, because birthday. While that probably won't ever happen, I can live in hope that someday April would be Elwood Month.
I just hope themes wouldn't be too comprehensive or enveloping, though. It's nice to have some non-event months, and I'd hate for the themes to feel like events. That one fall when we had wall to wall events all fall and winter was exhausting. :c
Hey, I thought it was lame that it was Chibi month and we got chibi experiments rather than revamped Chibi pets.

Hey that's a good point too!!! I know the Sheeta has an artist so it's can't be due to being unassigned, so.. Hmm. :(
Yes for monthly themes! Especially during the summer. They will make Subeta less boring
I actually /love/ this idea.
Um... I didn't realize that there was a monthly theme? Am I just slow, or...
Anyways, I've liked what's come out of these monthly themes, they're cool!
❄️ Seeking Elsa or Olaf inspired CWs ❄️
On the one hand, I do like the fact that the monthly themes make sure stuff is happening even when an event isn't on, but I kind of wish they were less...Subeta-based, I guess? Like when Experiment Month started I was really excited because I thought it was Mad Science Month at first glance and that is my jam. But it wasn't and that was a big let-down. I don't feel enough of a connection to Site Lore to get excited about stuff like that, I guess? It sort of feels like the only way to learn about it is to hang around the Subetapedia reading articles rather than exploring or doing activities and it just seems like that shouldn't be the case (though I'm the first to admit I don't play the site correctly and maybe I'm just missing something).
IDK.
