Thanks, I remember reading that, but it doesn't quite answer my question about small magic. And I mean like... idk, lighting a super small fire or something. Since this is sort of a genrepunk (My new name for this stuff) adventure, I wanted to know if I had to put my character in one set slot or not.

Do we all need companions? Especially since there will be a companion challenge? I've created a bard character and tried to match her with one but she's not really an animal person.

HAHAHAHAHA we don't NEED to be assigned to do stupid things. We do it all on our own to make ourselves be fools. HAHAHAHAA

Vagabond is the class most subject to interpretation. and I seem to have this debate going (started in WS2) about Vagabond characteristics, and it doesn't appear to have ended. :D

To me, Vagabonds decidedly do NOT have a thief bend. You can play it that way if you wish, of course, but I always think more in terms of the dilettante type. While Jack Sparrow might be a good example, Dr. Who would actually be better. This is someone who knows a bit about a great many things, but is not necessarily an expert at any of them. Using small magicks would be entirely possible depending on background.

There is a devil-may-care as well as a serious side to them. They may have little formal education as a kid growing up on the streets and living by wits , or they could have been properly trained in the best schools on "Daddy's Dollars." The choice is yours.

A thief character could be very successful as well, as witness the brilliant portrayal of Donner by . I loathed him, BUT he was a great character and an amazing offset to the gifted but vulnerable Kitcher, whom I adored. There are all sorts of ways to pull a Vagabond off. :D

Thank you. I'll note that.

  1. generic arbitrary literary plot device
  2. Yes
  3. No
  4. Yes
  5. Très sexy
  6. Definitely, especially with a touch of spice.

It's six, so you're good.

Yes, if you have a companion, they should appear at least on your intro HA. (You look dazzling, BTW). You do not have to have a companion. We will give you a "sub" for the companion challenge.

Normally, the Wayward Squirrel would be near the crossroads, but their path has been altered by the Unseelie Darkfog and they have been pulled near the border ward. The inn was never caught in the nexus storm. That was Squirrely's Offtime Saloon, and, yes, it was last year. Darkfog is semi-sentient. Nexus storms are caused by disturbances but are simply natural phenomena.

A) Just lucky, I guess, B) Yeah, but I don't assign those. :D

Thanks for the examples! Those are perfect! One more thing, I noticed people asking where we were getting picked up/meeting. Is that up to our leader or what? Sorry I'm asking so many questions. I was kind of in a fog during the murder mystery and didn't feel like I lived up to my full role playing potential, so I REALLY want to get this right!

What if our character has a perfectly plausible companion but there is not a wearable example of the companion? The companion in question is small and would be in a portable enclosure. Would an image of the companion's enclosure fulfill the requirement?

On May 22nd, the Floating Frenchman will descend to the Crossroads near where the Wayward Squirrel would be expected to appear. If you have any veteran party members, they will know the way. If not, the Faerie who summoned you will lead you group to the correct location. Lucien Reynard will greet you and you will board for a journey through the Darkfog led by Izzy MacGuinness and her beacon, which is powered by some dust from the Crystal the previous adventurers restored to Crystania. Hopefully, you will reach , although it may be a bumpy ride.

ALL questions are always welcome.

Yes, a container will be acceptable.

A) is a vagabond important this time a round...I think SilverLegends is playing without one.
B) If you ever had a moment where we had to be "fools" that is probably the moment SilverLegends would play it all serious just to throw things off. LOL

A) With your team, I'm sure someone could cover it, maybe, or could try to enchant it, which would likely blow up another of Tony and Jedro's "establishments." If not, Gryffindor is dying to play, but has no team to join, and is bummed because she missed the last shuttle departure. She loves RP and is pretty goofy, so, if you want to send out a shuttle, she'd be all over it.

B) Wow! Thanks for that great idea! grabs pencil

The crossroads is a BG? Nice, I didn't know that was for this. But the Squirrel isn't around yet, it seems, for whatever reason, right?

ERm, right, sorry. I forgot that about vagabond. ^.^;; I always hear the word associated with thieves. ^.^;; Jean's more of a strategist with some rogue traits, really. She doesn't think of herself as a thief. And she evolved from a Doctor Who fan character, so...^.^;;

The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group

You're "hardly ever" is a bit....scary... gulp

It's in 's shop, and it's public and unlimited. It wasn't made for WS; it just worked. I don't think she ever realized how perfect it was, but it fit right in.

LOL--I keep running "Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves" through my head. Well, at least in keeps the stream flowing--persistence of memory, right?

The inn is being pulled around in the darkfog right now, while everyone involved is working to pull it loose.

Jean is perfect. She needs no improvement!
