I like my results today =D
Wizard - 15/15 : 3 QP Pete - 15/15 : 4 QP Quentin - 15/15 : 3 QP Library - 15/15 : 2 QP Maleria - 15/15 : 3 QP Saggi - 15/15 : 3 QP Carl - 15/15 : 3 QP Cinthia - 15/15 : 3 QP Cursed - 15/15 : 3 QP
I&;ve split users into three groups, with different odds (And one with hard set odds) to see how that performs.
That's... not really fair.
I can understand doing this for A/B testing on layouts or other things, but to mess with someone's quest rewards or anything else that gives one group and advantage over another? :/
I completely agree. It's entirely unfair. I've completed nearly 60 quests, and I've only gotten 2 quest points. I'm obviously in the "hard set odds" group right now, and if that's how it's going to be, then there's not much point in doing the quests.
Edit: I ended up completely the rest of the quests [when I first posted, I had done Wizard, Saggi, Quentin, and Pete, and then I did Maleria, Library, Cursed, Cinthia, and Carl]. My final count was 13 points, but I got about 10 of them between Cursed and Cinthia. Not sure what's going on with that.

Oh I guess I must have just... not read this (I'm getting super lazy I guess) Yea I agree that's not fair at all, unless it's 100% based on how many quest points the users already have, and not just random.
I still don't think that's ok. I shouldn't have my rate (secretly!) lowered just because I saved up my points. :/
I don't think there's any way to justify this, especially if it's not going to be made public knowledge. :(

I mean, I think?? they mentioned wanting to get away from people hoarding points, hence the higher priced seasonal items (or I may have made that up. Idk I'm off my game right now)
So it would just make /more sense/ to reduce the chances of getting quest points as people get more points stocked up. (So if he was going to divide the users up, it seems more fitting to do it by amount of quest points?)
If someone doesn't like that... the simple solution would be to spend your points (or sell them if nothing appeals to you)
Honestly, I feel like a lot of things are kinda just not being communicated. Like, the change in SubQ stock was never announced. The decease in quest points was never announced either. But I'm not saying "Reduce the points of people who hoard them but do it secretly". I feel like if a change to the system were to happen, I would prefer this one, and have it be properly communicated. Then it's no one's fault but their own if they rack up points and their own rewards are reduced.
Does that make sense?
- I guess I can understand that, though I'm still not sure I agree.
Either way, the big thing (and we both seem to agree on this) is that they really shouldn't be making changes like this without announcing them. :(

Oh definitely not. The only reason I noticed is because I've been checking this thread often.
Though you better believe if I got less than a 20% drop rate today, I would be having a hissy fit. c_c
I really agree with . It's really unfair to nerf points for users just because they have a lot of them. Why does it matter if users have a lot of points? They earned those points.
Yeah, I don't like the idea of all this experimenting with rates? A 15-20% rate seems fair to me -- not too many but not an absolute drought, either. Though I wouldn't be opposed to the way has suggested where you get a point after doing a certain number of quests. I like certainty.
Today's numbers: Carl- 9/10- 2 QP Cinthia- 9/10- 2 QP Cursed- 8/10- 1 QP Library- 9/10- 2 QP Maleria- 10/10- 2 QP Pete- 8/10- 1 QP Quentin- 10/10- 2 QP Saggi- 9/10- 2 QP Wizard- 10/10- 2 QP
82 Quests, 16 QP = 19.5%
Voicing my opinion--- I think if there are going to be "tiers" then you need to announce what said tiers are. I think they're kind of pointless, overall too. Anyone who wants more QPs is just going to buy to stay under the limit. From my own personal stance, I hate it. My own behavior generally consists of me saving enough tokens for whatever I want, and then mass spending them. So, in that case, I'd earn something like 500 before spending. (Obviously, that's going to be next to impossible now, so I'll be spending at a more reasonable rate.) But penalizing people who like saving up by lowering their limit? No. If you want to put a cap (can't earn more past X), then go for it, but don't secretly lower rates.
Today: Wizard: 2/15 Saggi: 1/11 Carl: 1/12 38 Quests, 4 QP: 10.5 %
I've had 52 QP before starting quests today. So unless the other people that posted have less than that the rates seem to be random which would really suck and be unfair :(
Edit after more quests: Maleria: 1/15 Pete: 2/12 Library: 1/9 Quentin: 1/15 89 Quests, 9 QP: 10.1 %
@ athene Just for statistical sake, maybe do all the questers today and see if your drop rate changes at all (probably not, but might as well. Plus more monies!)
If you're going to do that, please rotate them. 1 week on each setting or something.
I'd much rather you spent the time sorting out the Beta wardrobe. That doesn't work properly but the QP system was fine as it was. :(
Why do we have to mess with things that are fine the way they are?

I've made some more quests and I'm still at around 10%. I'm not sure I'll be able to do all since I'm heading out soon.
I think it would be good if everyone posting their rates would post their QP, too. That way we can see if the rates are random or bound to your number of QP.
Wizard 15/15 - 3 QP Library 13/15 - 3 QP Cursed 14/15 - 3 QP Saggi 11/15 - 2 QP **Maleria 15/15 - 2 QP Pete 14/15 - 3 QP Carl 12/15 - 2 QP Quentin 14/15 - 3 QP Cynthia 14/15 - 3 QP
**Weekend Quest, yet no increase in quest points. 122 quests completed, 24 quest points, just under 20% drop rate.
SIDE NOTE: Cynthia asked me for a 15mil sP RD item. And I know I'm not the only one who has gotten asked for RD items. So can you ... fix this? (WHO DO I PING FOR THIS @ AMBER PINGING YOU BECAUSE I LOVE BOTHERING YOU <3 )
@ athene I don't think they're based on quest points. Well, at least not the way I would expect them to be. I have around 580 after my quests today (because, like some other people, I like to hoard mine and then buy everything all at once, since I have a serious issue and buy 2-3 of every item). So I'm not sure why I'd be getting a higher drop rate when I have a /decent/ amount of points compared to some people (but omg not enough I haven't bought anything yet except 2 of each seasonal winter item facccccck I think I need a 50% drop rate)
[edit] Well technically things weren't fine, since this thread was made because of the lack of quest points. Though originally (before a decrease was established) it was fine, if that's what you mean.
Yeah, I meant before the decrease. Sorry about the confusion. People are always going to hoard points, currencies, 'n stuff so the way I see it is why bother? Making them harder to obtain is only going to make people want to hold onto their points more. I don't know, maybe that's just me and how I see it.
