There's no other real solution. Anything else that can be done involves destroying the thyroid and all that does is make me hypo instead of hyper and I'd still be taking pills all the time anyway.

Thing is they focus on the thyroid when there is nothing wrong with that gland - it functions correctly. The problem is in the endocrine system which is sending the wrong signals to the thyroid. But they have no fix for the endocrine system, or the immune system, which is the real cause of the problem. Actually, they barely understand how those systems work.

The pills do work quite well for me, even though I sometimes have to adjust my dosage, its not bad overall. It hardly interferes with my life at all. LOL except in very rare circumstances where my doctors want to radically change my meds.

No what keeps me from working are the other 10,000 things wrong with me - each individual condition is not serious enough to keep me from working, but all combined means that I'm constantly dealing with one thing or another going out of whack.

Plus one other condition/disease that my doctors can't diagnose, either because it is very rare, or because the symptoms of my other conditions are masking exactly what this new one is doing to me and we can't isolate the symptoms so we can't figure it out. Its frustrating as hell!

damn, it's a loop that it's impossible to go out of it, I hope they'll finally find what's going on instead of just giving you/changing meds.. did you try to check with other doctors?

Mostly, I just posted to let everyone know that I probably won't be quite as on the ball as usual. I may make more mistakes too or miss even obvious stuff. So just keep an eye out in general.

yep. I've been to several specialists, six so far if I'm remembering right, the only progress has been to eliminate stuff. I've also mentioned stuff to other GPs. No one has been able to suggest anything - not even any avenues of search that I haven't already tried.

For 3 years already I have a pain on the right hip area, I did all the possible checks and everything came back ok, so at some point I just gave up and I'm living with this.. I'm in pain every second.. but I got used to it in some sense..

That's no fun. Doctors are great and can be very helpful, but when it comes down to it our collective knowledge about the human body is so lacking. On the other hand with research we are learning new things every day, so hopefully these undiagnosed issues will someday be resolved.

Yes you are right! and it seems that their is a lack of knowledge for many "simple" things... I hope we would invest more on research than what we do now..

Hey guys. I am still alive. Sorry for disappearing without a word. I had been having some physical problems for a few months. Turns out I had a pretty serious infection. Well, it would not have been so serious had I gone to the doc months ago. :x Anyway, long story short, I think I am on the upswing now and things will soon be back to normal.

I've got a migraine from hell yesterday and today. Its not a symptom of being hyper, but it could be a reaction to being taken off my meds. LOL one good thing about the migraine is that its taking my mind off everything else :x.

So, a user just pointed out to me that all of the "seasonal" quest shop items now have their own tab, leading all of our item notes for those items to be incorrect.

Items referenced are here. I don't mind taking care of it, but it will probably be several days before I can get to it. I kindly told the person that it would all be fixed up by next weekend, just in case we're all busy! :P

This is going to be something we'll have to update with each seasonal change of stock :(

Take the "Dark Matter Pumpkin" that's currently stocked because it's fall/autumn. The notes on SubetaLodge should say that it stocks in the Quest Shop, specifically Maleria's section. But now, since they added the seasonal section, it should say that instead of Maleria (along with which season, as you noted). When winter rolls around, there are going to be a whole new set of items that we already have in our database, but now have the incorrect notes because they've moved sections. Does that make more sense? Did I mention I'm tired
