A couple of minor glitches -- if you click the button before the page fully loads, nothing happens. (The April Fools Day script is one of the last things to load.) Also, if you get the same prize twice in a row, it looks like nothing happens when you click the button because it replaces the prize with the exact same prize.

Other than that, let me know what you think. There are eight possible prizes so far.

- I love it! I agree with Georgie though - Is there a way to display it other than just on the front page? Assuming there are other people like me, they'll miss it because of having checklists bookmarked.

Can it be something bigger? And maybe change colors if they don't click to go to the main page? Not blink obnoxiously though, I am tired of people getting all offended when we do stuff.

Welcome of course, only use what you want. I think these should be plenty though!

I made a couple of changes (that wasn't a Caesar Salad, not with all that spinach! So I found a different picture and changed it to Caesar Salad and Croutons instead.) I used all of them except for the two that had obvious copyright information on them -- figure we don't need to invite trouble upon ourselves. Anything else we can claim ignorance for, and maybe even fair use since we're just using it for one day.

Cantankerous Subetan Coutourier is great but isn't the spelling Couturier?

If you're not a salad fan, Caesar is the one to start with. They're simple (lettuce and cheese and not a whole bunch of other vegetables) and the dressing is pretty yummy, sort of like a very mild ranch.

edit: 'Couturier' is fixed. You'll need to refresh to get the corrected version to load.

Thanks for passing along the compliment. Especially today. Georgie and I were talking this morning about all the whiners last year who just couldn't deal with having the site upside-down for a day and had to let the whole world know about it. So far, not one of them has spoken up this year.

I figure if we get more press when we're naughty, I'll come up with something really diabolical for next year. :)

First off, got a comment from someone who thoroughly enjoyed the excitement and then funny disappointment of there not actually being able to claim the 10k csc haha.

Also, they mentioned their Tigrean had a rift shift, but it just turned into the Common RA-001 and it reminded me that that fellow and the RA-002 don't have spots yet on our pets list. I'm not really sure if we've decided where they're going yet? They seem like entirely new species but probably more along the lines of the zapper pets? (I doubt you can change them to other colors).

We're going to give them their own page -- at least for now. I've started working on the code for it; won't be too bad, but today and Wednesday are my long days on campus, so I didn't get much accomplished today on it, but by tomorrow, we should have them up.
