Well, I'm losing sp because I'm doing all the quests, no matter what is the price of the items + I'm giving back the mages, and I get like 1-3 tomes a week, so I'm losing sp in any case.. But I don't really care.. I'm doing like 2m per day from quests and the prizes.. So really I don't see a reason to change the payout of the Quentin's quests..
I normally get 1-3 amulets a day, lately around 3. I don't do Quentin for the sP profits. I won't ever turn down more sP profits, but it's not an issue for me.
Quentin is actually the only place on the site where I seem to have decent luck -- as long as I don't go over ~25k buying the items I usually make a profit and I usually get at least one Mage Amulet. But it probably would be a good idea to try and re-weight what they ask for so cheaper stuff like old floaters or anniversary bag stuff is asked for more than Menagerie/Lounge stuff, for example.
it works out to a profit if you get an average 1-2 amulets from Quentin per day.
With that said, I wish the quest would have a smarter algorithm to not ask for trinket/ornaments all the time.
Then again, almost all holiday items have been bought up to the 40k price. So, quentin might as well just charge us 40k + a random RS-able item for each quest
I rarely EVER quit Quentin quests because I (like everyone else) am determined to get as many amulets as possible. (Got 4 in one day not to long ago. woot woot!)

I don't really do Quentin or Cinthia; neither have really worked out for me. I like getting the amulets, but I rarely buy anything over like 40k for her.
I really liked doing their quests because I was getting 1-3 every day for a long time. Over the last month (or two?) though I started hating the quests pretty much for all the reasons listed above. The profit margin decreased and there are now days when I get 0 amulets. It was just really weird for me.. Going from an amulet or more a day to none. I was really baffled, I thought something was wrong, or they had changed something. Maybe I was just really lucky for a long time, or maybe they have changed something. Either way, I'm not fond of this one anymore.
Today, I did 8 quests. Keep in mind I'm pretty cheap though so I'm surprised I managed to get this many done. No amulets for me this time. To be honest, I don't mind as much. Today Quentin didn't ask for a lot of ridiculous ornaments so that was fine. I did get a lot of Recycle Beast fodder today so that's great.
I'm curious - has the value of amulets increased a lot since this change was made? I don't really mind that I'm not getting as much amulets because I'm clumsy and I seem to trip over quite a few mage amulets. Also, some days I'm just unlucky.

I like Quentin´s quests. It´s true there aren´t that many Sps to gain but the items I usually get a worth it.
I was told they increased the amulet drop rate last week (for some reason), then brought it back down again (for some reason). Now it's been three days and 0 amulets for me... I didn't finish their quests today because I was losing too much money and I'm trying to save for something before my GA runs out. They ask for too many holiday items and even if you don't spend more than 40k per quest, they'll only give you like 11k in return and that just doesn't make it worth it to me (I don't really pay attention to the items from quests as I rarely actually price my shop, so it might be a long time before I see that profit). And while getting 5 amulets a day IS a little excessive (we don't want the value to fall more, after all), and I can't do anything about my terrible luck with them, a little more than zero would be nice?
Yes, last two days I have gotten 0. The 5 a day was too many. But I am going to have to stop doing them because I am losing way too much for the items I get back, if they don't sprinkle some in there.

I got 3 yesterday so I'm pretty sure it just got tweaked back to how it was before they switched it to 5 a day. tbh I'm fine with it how it is because amulets dropped so much in price in the past week it was getting frustrating.
I'm happy with Quentin's quests. Five amulets a day were way too many, and I never had a problem with how things were before, how sometimes I'd get zero amulets. The sP payout kinda sucks, yeah, that I'll agree with - but Quentin's not the only NPC with a quest, and I more than make back what I lose on the items they want by doing all the other quests.
Second day that I didn't get a single amulet from quentin and I'm 150k down! Meh guess it's time to stop doing it's quests :k
Okay, WHY has Quentin started asking for reading drive prizes?
I was just asked for and a friend was asked for .
^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^
For the love of all things holy, PLEASE take reading drive items out of the queue for quest pulls! Between Q asking for the Richard Tiger plushie and MoNo Ri asking me for elixirs and SubQ stuff, I'm declining more quests than I care to. Can someone please address this???

If you look at the overall price, both say 100.
I think that might be the issue
- What about in the case of elixirs or SubQ items though? What are your thoughts on those being pulled for quest items? (not trying to be derogatory or condescending, I am genuinely curious what you think might be causing those to be requested in the case of MoNo Ri because you make an excellent point about those RD items)

Oh no worries on the tone! :)
I'm guessing that since Subeautique still has normal rarities (between 1-99) that the quest givers are allowed to ask for them if they have the applicable keywords.
As for elixirs, I'm thinking they are just getting asked for because of their keywords. Yesterday I did my quests and was asked for and so I think that might be part of it.
I'm wondering if they changed something in the coding though, cause the Wizard asked me for a All that Glitters item a few days ago :(
I made 140k pure from Nori today, which was nice! [edit] Forums You got a forum point while making a post! Check out the shop here!
- I'm going to take note of what I get asked for... I don't normally do so but if keywords are the reason, then having some sort of record as to what's being pulled will help if staff want to work them out of the quest pool.
Thanks for the insight! ^^
