The achievements under our avatar no longer show up as numbers, but as a percentage. I really hate this. No one will ever have 100%. It's almost kind of mocking us with this change. I wish it would go back to just showing how many achievements we have, period.

Oh, well don't worry! If you hover, you can still see your number... out of the total... that you will never reach... ever...

What the hell :L Okay, yeah I guess that part is okay but still like ?? Why bother with percentages when we have so many retired achievements?

I don't like this at all and the change seems pointless. It makes me feel bad about myself whereas before I was pretty proud of my achievement number. This feels like I got a whatever percentage on a test or something.

ugh I don't like this change at all. It makes no sense since there's no way to get 100%. Making so you have to get 20 achievements to show some progress in the forums isn't nice. I'd rather have the count as default and the % when you hover :/

I kind of liked it. But I think that was probably down to the fact I don't have many and it made me feel like I was closer to those with a lot more.

as satisfying as it is to have a prestigious-looking number like 96%, I agree with the others, achievements are something no one can complete so they're not a good choice for a percentage. Wondering about the reasoning behind the change.

edit: Out of curiosity I just snooped on a post by , who currently has the most achievements onsite, and her percentage is 102%. Killin' it, girl

Well this seems like a total waste. I don't want to have that mocking me every time I post. I want to see how many I have total and that's it. I don't know about everyone else, but when I don't have 100% when there is a percentage in a game, I honestly start to eventually feel bad about it.

[edit] You got a forum point while making a post!

Seems like the site is either trying to make me feel better or agreeing with me.

Well that's not only illogical, but also impossible.

how does someone have over 100% of the available achievements?

while i think it's fascinating to have a number on it. I have a mild ocd which makes me freak out when numbers aren't "right". I've worked my ass of the past few years to always have numbers who don't make me want to throw with things in frustrating and now there is a %, I don't know the total, so i can't calculate how many more achievements I need to have a for me acceptable %.

[edit] 90%, it's official: i have to stop collecting achievements now because anything between 90-95% will make me want to cry in a corner every single time i see the number. Plus the vagueness: how many achievements do i need to up my number? I have a dislike for vague things.

Anyway I like the idea of having a %, but maybe put it inside the achievement page instead of on the forums. And elaborate on the achievement page: 1802/2100 achievements (just throwing numbers) You currently have 90% of available achievements. & Give achievements or rewards for having 10%, 25%, 35%, 50%, 60% 75%, etc. This is personally a thing I would love to see a trophy for. I know those aren't being done any more but when i started subeta I really loved getting trophies and upgrading them.

Well if you hover the % it says there are 1998 achievements

I'm not sure if that's like, excluding legacy or something? At first I was like oh maybe it's out of available achievements but then a ton of people could get over 100% eventually as achievements retire :L

Hahah, as interesting as this is to see as a percent, I do think it'll make achievement counts feel less fun.

Not to mention that 102%. We're officially all losers, no besting that. =P

Yeah... I have to agree with everyone else here. First off, this is a pointless change. No one cared how the numbers were listed before... no one /wanted/ this change. Why did we waste even the smallest amount of time having this change coded? Secondly, as there are SO MANY unreachable achievements (not just retired - think snowball fight... you could only get one), I just don't see how this number means anything. A percentage is pointless to me. An exact total of my achievements means far more to me. And finally, lower percentages can make many people feel bad. It's... kind of how we are trained thanks to the educational system (at least in the U.S.). I know I don't get all the achievements... because I don't try. Don't remind me of this failure/oversight/deficit with every freaking post please. Just give me my numbers back.

I have a lot to say about this, but I just drove for an hour, got 20 x-rays, and drove for another hour. I'm too tired right now to be nice, or constructive. So I'll come back here later, but now I'm just going to say that it's not even accurate. The math/percentages are wrong. It seems to be ~7 achievements off for everyone, or about 3.5%, assuming the total of 1, 998 achievements is accurate.

Also this is awful and I don't like it.

I feel like I'm being graded... I have to agree, this is a pointless change. The percentage means nothing to me since we will get new achievements and retire others.
