I have the same issues with this as basically everyone else. Nobody actually goes to the ballroom when accepting/inviting people to dance so it's an extra step. taking up time and server space yadda yadda.

Lucky for me i only had to go to the ballroom 5 times before I got both achieves but i had 160 dance events ready to go lolol

I don't understand why we need to complain when we're asked to do something that's not the easiest thing. Why should they hand everything to us? Yes, we have to click an extra link. One extra click, per dance. So wait until they pile up, and go through and ctrl + click and open the ballroom in another tab. No event? Close it and do the next one. You can do it from the 'accept' quicklink, and you can do it from the events that notify you your dances have been accepted.

I've gotten both achievements from ~300 dances. I got the event itself three times, but it took me twice to beat him. The game is tricky because wth is rock or paper or what. Thanks to whomever it was that posted the >>> in the news.

We still have 6 days of Masquerade. There's time. Calling this terrible simply because it requires work is poor form, imo. How many of us have all 2,500 dances knocked out? I know I don't XD

protip - I cleared my cache on Chrome and the site is going quite a bit faster :D

I like this in theory at least, I haven't actually gotten the event yet and I'm a little nervous I'll somehow mess it up or get a glitch. I think it's really cool that we have to go to the dance page I used to always do that because I love seeing how people are dressed but I've gotten out of the habit so it's nice to have a reason to check that again. Also I'm not going to be on as much this year I'm in the process of moving so I haven't been on much and I'll still be driving all day tomorrow and working on settling in until the end of the event I'm sure, so I appreciate the opportunity to get more trinkets this way.

Terrible maybe isn't the word, but this could have been better handled. Putting aside my frustration of not having found him yet, the news post was very wishy-washy about how any of this was supposed to work. I'd basically forgotten the dance floor page had existed from never going there. I really shouldn't have to go to the comments to try an scrape out an understanding of how something works or even a vague idea of what to expect from it, especially since it isn't supposed to be a puzzle to begin with. My cup doth runneth over with poorly explained things at the moment and I'm past bored of it.

It doesn't even work.

I like the sound of it, but there really needs to be a way to fix round this to make it work better. As I've just been challenged to a duel and it led me to a blank page and now I've missed it. v_v

I was lucky that it worked for me the one time I got it. However, I've danced manymanymany times since then and haven't gotten it again at all. It seems very rare.

Finally got the event, and was also met with the blank page. Internet Sad Face.

I like going to the dance floor and seeing all the awesome HAs people make. I don't find the extra step taxing, and I'm actually impressed on how well the site has been running this event. I was confused on how exactly the guy was supposed to pop up because I had been doing it for quite some time but then it was seriously obvious once the event appeared.

I agree with a few users, if you have legitimate issues of it not working then the complaint is justified. As for the rest..... No. I'm fine with the set-up as is. Sorry you have to put a hair more effort than holding the F5 button down. Sorry you have to figure something out as opposed to it being handed to you. Woe is you.

The only "work" required here is more "work" by Subeta staff to get these things coded so that they work properly

The basic idea might be cute but how it was realized just gets on my nerves and I wish staff would at least increase the chance for that guy to show up...and make things work as they should, lol

I don't mind that this is a thing. I like that I have a chance of winning more Steamworks Trinkets, since I need so many. I've gotten the event a few times now and I'm grateful it worked for me each time. (I'm so sorry to see that some are having glitches with it, though. It doesn't seem super common and to finally get it and have it glitch has to be really annoying.)

I do wish it didn't require going to the dance floor, or wish that the dance floor and the "you get trinkets, yo" page were the same, though. An extra step isn't that much work, but it gets tedious when I've got 40+ dances to accept at once. Plus I've been getting the most annoying lag on-and-off on all of the dancing-related pages, lag that I know has to come from Subeta's end. :c

Considering the low RE rate (plus how instantly it seems to expire), the server strain of everyone loading the ballroom all the time and the bugs involved?

I'm not thrilled.

Edit: I must've clicked hundreds of links by now, not a single RE. So new feedback time: this is not fun. I think this was (also) supposed to be a cute way to give people more trinkets, but at this point, I would never consider doing it for that reason.

Please increase the frequency of him turning up. As an event it's as exciting as sitting around watching paint dry. :(

I like the idea but he doesn't cut in enough. I would prefer more duals and a lower prize.

The previous had two buttons, one was bright green and if tou clicked it it kicked you to the dancing forum. I didn't think they needed to remove the option but having a green button and a red button was kind of misleading xD
