(Whoa dang, poor poor Elsidy.)
Brazen's sudden outburst caught Felix off guard and she immediately stiffened, her hands clenching into hard fists as she stared at Brazen and Elsidy. The way he spoke to his own daughter made Felix's blood run cold in her veins. How could he say such awful things about his own flesh and blood? Was he abusive? Her protective instincts took over and she quickly moved up behind the young woman, grabbing her by the shoulder and pulling her behind her. The way Brazen was ranting made her realize that he must have been part of the church. Felix's green eyes met his, almost daring him to actually try and strike his own daughter. But he didn't. Instead he turned around and headed for the door but Felix didn't relax any.
The young woman turned her head slightly to look over her shoulder at Elsidy. The poor thing looked as if his words had physically wounded her. Felix looked at Brazen's broad back and her eyes narrowed. With inhuman speed she caught up to him and grabbed his arm, pulling on it hard to stop him. "Hey! Where do you get off talking to your daughter like that?" She snarled before roughly pushing his arm away. "What could she have possibly done to deserve your hatred?!" Felix was quickly losing her cool and she gave Brazen a hard shove.
Victoria lowered her face and clenched her fists hard at Brazen's cold words. Her scared hands bled quickly from how deep her nails burrowed into her palm. At his turning to leave, Victoria shoved Felix out of the way rather harder than she had intended and grabbed him by his collar. Her composure finally faded and she no longer could contain her hatred. "You scum of the Earth. You horrid example of humanity! How could I ever expect you to understand? How could I believe your plea when you entered my sanctum?" Her grip tightened and her eyes glowed through her contacts.
"You disown your own daughter over something she cannot control? Something neither you or your wife could ever anticipate?! You do not deserve answers from anyone. Do you think I like this? That I enjoy being the sole survivor for all these years? Do you think any of us enjoy the way we were born? A life of constantly looking over our shoulders, a life of running away from everything you known?" Her voice rose with anger. "A life where everything you love is taken from you?" Voices of the dead swarmed her head, filling her with guilt and shame. "How could you disown her? How could you keep her safe all these years? Give her nourishment, a home, a family. Then just leave her in the cold in an instant." She let go of his collar and turned her back to him. Her head hung low and she rubbed over her arm tattoo almost longingly. Her face looked drained for a moment then returned to its usual stone composure. "Whether you accept it or not, blood is blood. No matter how much you deny it, she is your child. She will always be your child. It is not you who should be ashamed. It is she who should be ashamed."

(Wait what did they censor? My sig? Now I'm curious)
Garret's eyes widened as the man suddenly began to rage, backing away from the now shouting man. Percy growled as he, too backed away from the Hunter. He had witnessed a father disowning his daughter for something that was unavoidable. His own rage bubbled inside himself. He had run away from home to seek a better life for himself and Percy, he knew how hard life was on the roads. He knew he would never wish his own life to another such as Elsidy.
Garret's rage was not a sudden explosion like the others', no. It was cold as ice, as his anger broke through his usually casual demeanor, his eyes narrowed to a glare, his rage not shown through his face, but through his eyes. His fists clenched, he felt just about ready to punch this man in the face.
He stood behind the big man and uttered two sentences. "Matthew 7:1. Do not judge and you will not be judged." His voice rose, but his words kept cold, "Is this how you follow your Lord, Brazen? Is this how you throw away your catholicism just to express your racism?" He scoffed at the large man, sickened by his presence now, "You would rather condemn your daughter to the streets than consider your training just the least bit unjust? You're ptiful. Do you enjoy the sadistic pain of your daughter and the people you dare to call devils when they have done absolutely nothing to you? You disgust me."

"Unhand me, devils," Brazen growled at the women. He pulled straight his coat, looking angry but unruffled by their words. "I have some sins to confess, most particularly creating and protecting so long that thing," he hissed. "The devil too quoted scripture," he added Garret's way before again making an attempt to leave. He would have liked to try and retrieve his gun, to do what he'd told the hunter from earlier he'd come to do, but he was outnumbered and very nearly completely disarmed. He couldn't fight them all off with his knife.
Elsidy broke out her first sob, now running after Brazen herself. "Father, no!" she burst out, reaching to grab his sleeve. He swung his arm out of reach - he might have struck her, if he didn't sense that would be just the excuse the other three needed. Elsidy slid to her knees instead with a wail. "Why, why now?"
"I never realized just how unclean you were," Brazen snapped, resuming his exit.

((I am dying of laughter. Wow. Just wow. XD))
Victoria didn't waste her words any further. She simply went to Elsidy's side and put her arms around her shoulders. "I am so sorry. This is all my fault, Elsidy. I should have known better." Brazen had now exited. The door slammed in the same disgust that had filled his body. Victoria looked at Elsidy before noticing her blood soaked hands and releasing her. She wiped her hands on her shorts before venturing to the door, locking it as she had done before.
"We do not have time for much. I fear he will lead them to us." She grabbed his weapon and his phone(I think it was a phone she confiscated). She placed the phone on the floor and smashed it with several stomps. "I apologize for that display. It was my foolishness. Perhaps I thought he would understand. That he wouldn't want to kill us if he understood. I was so wrong. My age does not bring wisdom I suppose."

Name: Ariel Lantieri Age: 23 in appearance, 131 in reality Gender: Non-binary he, she or they (biologically female) Race: Conjurer Appearance: (My art) Ariel stands at about 5’2†and is rather muscular as a result of an active life style. One is brown while the other is an almost clear green. Other distinguishing marks include light scars on her left cheek, right eyebrow, and arms. Dark burgundy hair cut short helps create an ambiguous look which is further supplemented by loose clothes. Ariel dresses to blend in although a hooded cloak or jacket is a must whenever possible. Element: Wind Biography: Ariel was the daughter of a human and an immortal born in Italy. Her father was a university professor and her mother was a housewife. Camille Lantieri was a water elemental Conjurer. The family managed to live in a very low profile as result of Camille’s blue eye color, restrained use of abilities, and occasional moving. Ariel grew up with very limited knowledge of both immortals and hunters. Her life was thrown into chaos when World War 2 tore through Europe. Her father was killed in a bombing and her mother and she began trying to outrun the conflict. In the end they couldn’t and Camille used her abilities to defend them and they drew the attention of hunters. Ariel and Camille parted ways after 3 years on the run in hopes of drawing less attention. Ariel has lost on contact with Camille and has spent all the years since travelling and avoiding conflict. Personality: Ariel is easygoing and avoids conflict of any nature. Making friends is usually a simple matter although they are rarely kept or actually trusted. Ariel is naturally suspicious but is careful not to show it and is careful about their wording even when being sarcastic. Despite being clever and a capable fighter, Ariel tends to choose flight over fight. Other: Ariel is a bit of a jack of all trades and is proficient with most survival or day to day skills, but lacks any real talents worth boasting about. When it comes to combat Ariel uses rush tactics and prefers using ranged attacks.

Felix stayed out of the way once Victoria shoved her and watched the scene unfold. This was not unlike what she went through years ago with her own father, and it was very difficult to watch someone else go through something so similar. Once Brazen had left she looked first to Garret and Percy then Elsdiy. She went over to the crying young woman on the floor and stared down at her for a moment before sinking to her knees beside her. Now Felix wasn't an overly cuddly person, except for when it came to Anya, but this situation was yanking on her heart strings too much. She reached out and grabbed Elsidy, pulling her into a tight embrace. Her sleek black wings unfolded from her back and warmly wrapped around them both. Felix held her for a few moments before retracting her wings, leaving them partially opened as she got to her feet. "Stand up." Her voice was low but not unkind. She leaned down and grabbed one of Elsidy's hands and gently tugged her to her feet, holding her by the shoulder with the other hand to help keep her steady. "He's gone, so that means you have to learn how to take care of yourself now. Be strong and hold your head high." She squeezed her shoulder lightly in an attempt to be reassuring.
Immortals:
Name: Lydhelle Gender: Female Race: Summoner Age: 14, 18 in reality Appearance: She's 1.5m tall, has dark eyes, dark hair and a skull shaped marking on her right cheek. She wears a blank porcelain mask to cover her mark, and is, ironically, pale as a ghost.
Biography: She was an only child born into a lovely English family of three and it remained that way until her father's second family of a daughter and her mother was discovered. Living just beside them. Her mother, the bread winner of the family divorced him and kicked him out of her house. Last Lydhelle had heard, both his partners had left him penniless after the court case. He never crawled back.
Her mother got along well wife her ex-husband's second spouse. Perhaps too well. They fell in love and married last year. Meanwhile, Lydhelle was dealing with her snobby step sister who'd been growing resentful that Lyddhelle had a "cool skull-mark" while she didn't.
So Martha, in a fit of petulance, gathered her friends and tricked Lydhelle into a graveyard. Unaware of Lydhelle's powers, Martha and Lydhelle began to argue about their swelling bitterness towards each other. Lydhelle snaps and her powers awaken. Unable to control them, it ends in a massacre. Now she's on a run from everyone - from her mothers due to her guilt, from the police, and from the church. And her crazy cult of fans course.
Personality: Lydhelle's witty, ever-guilty and a pacifist. She tries very hard not to maim or murder. She dislikes people because she's afraid of hurting them and has a hate-love relationship with her abilities. She's also surprisingly power-hungry.
Other: Owns her dead human sister as a pet from whom she begs forgiveness every Tuesday. She enjoys sewing and knitting.
Elsidy burst into full-fledged sobbing as her father turned his back on her. She accepted the comfort of Victoria and Felix, trying not to be clingy. She let Felix pull her up, still shaking as tears trailed down her face.
"I..." she choked, pausing and trying to regulate her breathing. "I don't h-have an-ny idea how to t-take c-care of myself," she managed. "I've lived at home all m-my life, sheltered f-from the outside world. I...I know father-" her lip trembled at the word, "was hiding me from the world, but he was also hoping, I think, to hide any outside influence from me, hoping to keep me pure so that this..." she gestured at her torso, where the skull mark was hidden. She was unable to finish her sentence, instead fighting off a second wave of tears.

Victoria's eyes almost filled with tears upon hearing Elsidy's sobs. She kept her composure and walked back to Elsidy. "That is what we are here for, you darling girl. We are here to teach you everything we know. I have lived for centuries, millennia even. I can teach you everything you need, Elsidy. And I am sure that Felix and Garret will do the same. I do not have much to offer but you will always find home with me-with us." She placed her hand on Elsidy's shoulder before retracting herself.
She moved to the boxes she kept and took out essentials. A few pairs of clothes, a dump phone she kept for emergencies, water, and several bound journals all of which she stuffed into a back pack. She then grabbed a jug of kerosene and opened it, pouring its contents around the place. "Let this be lesson number 1." She rummaged for a matchbox and opened it. "When you are discovered, you leave no trace. They can use anything and everything to track you. What I will need you all to do is run to the door the moment I light this match. From there, you will run to a place you find safe, your sanctum. I cannot stress this enough. I will find you but please stick together. Do not run it will only draw attention. Am I clear?"
"Tch..." Garret's scoffed, before punching the wall, ignoring the sudden pain in his fist, startling Percy, making him tear his gaze away from the door to his master. "What an actual douchebag. What kind of parent pulls that kind of crap?!" He shook his head before walking over to the still sobbing girl, trying to make his voice as soothing as possible, wrapping his arm around her shoulder, wiping away the tears streaming down her cheeks, just to find more to take their place "Hey, don't pay attention to anything that guy has to say. He's not your family anymore, we are, all of us," he gestured to the others with his free hand, to Victoria, to Felix, to Percy, "I'm telling you now, that it'll be a bit... Hard to adapt, but we can help you, we can support you. Just as a family should."
Garret watched as Victoria doused the rooms with something similar to lighter fluid, and he began to have an idea what she was about to say next. Once she was done confirming his guess and giving them their instructions, he spoke up, his arm still wrapped around Elsidy's shoulder, "My home should be good to hide away at. It's an abandoned warehouse that's been locked up pretty tight. We can stay there for the time being."

Lydhelle heard footsteps approaching her metal crate. She'd found this snug hideaway in an abandoned warehouse, just yesterday. She had been running from satanic and savage-looking Mob firing deafening guns at her because they'd spotted her stealing an arm-load of yarn from a craft shop. She hoped it wasn't the Mobs coming at her again. It would be bothersome to move away. Plus, a broken rib and shot arm were enough injuries for a lifetime. Lydhelle put away her knitting needles and sock in progress.
"Martha?" she called. "Can you scout the area?"
"Sure, sure." At the opposite end of the crate, Martha scowled and grumbled under her breath - something about dead half-sisters always being bossed around even after death - before she headed off to identify the intruders.
Lydhelle hummed and summoned seven skeletal warriors into the shipping crate. They could be meat shields. Just in case. Then she returned to knitting.
(( I'm referring to Garret's warehouse. Mobs refers to the hunters, because she doesn't know their real name and had decided to give them one. ):)
Elsidy's eyes sparkled with hope through her tears as Victoria and Garret promised to help her. She figured Felix probably felt the same way. "T-thank you," she said, embracing Garret. She lost the last of her sobs into his shoulder.
Victoria was speaking now, and she smelled the kerosene. Brazen had found her in a matter of hours when she'd left for home - but if Victoria was so good at hiding and covering her trail, maybe her inexperience wouldn't be bad enough to get them all caught. She smiled again, perhaps just a little less than she had been before. "Lead the way," she said to Garret. She stayed near him as they walked, remembering Brazen's difficulty in tracking him earlier.
Brazen found the nearest public phone and dialed his superiors, anxiously waiting on the ring tone. Once there was an answer, he murmured, "This is Brazen...I'm afraid I've sinned, but I have reports of a handful of immortals."

She couldn't help but silently agree with Garret's choice of words and actions. In her opinion one of the worst things you could do was abandon someone close to you to fend for themselves, let alone your own daughter. Felix's hands moved to rest on her hips and her wings settled against her back as she gave the young woman a crooked grin to show that she too was willing to help her, that she was far from alone. But as she watched Victoria poured the kerosene around and got out a match the grin quickly faded away. She was beginning to realize that everyone in the room other than herself was technically homeless. Would she end up that way too? Losing the apartment she had worked so hard to get, her and her cat out on the streets again..and what about Anya and the rest of the Bruschevs? Would they end up chased out of their house and onto the streets too?
Felix slowly turned towards the door and followed Garret and Elsidy out the door. The young woman was silent for some time before she finally spoke up. "Hey, so I was thinking.." She shifted a bit as she walked, moving to rub the back of her neck. "A warehouse doesn't sound like a very comfortable place to stay. My place isn't all that big but if any of you wanna crash there for a while you can. I think it's safe, I've never been attacked there at least." Felix shrugged and stuffed her hands into her pockets.
Victoria lit the match and looked down at the trail of kerosene. She never liked this part, pretending she never existed. She was growing tired of running but this time, it was entirely her fault and she hated it. She dropped the match and took a deep breath. The fire followed the trail, igniting everything in its path; smoke began to rise quickly from the burning of her less important possessions. She covered her mouth with her hand and exited the building through the small, narrow window that provided the only sunlight into her former home.
She promptly coughed out what she inhaled of smoke and took a moment to catch her breath. She pulled a hoodie out of her backpack and slipped it on, covering her face with a hood. She reached the group, coming toward them upon the words "my home". "No. No homes. Deeds, proof of purchase, home insurance, even rent agreements are all ways they link you somewhere. Once they know your na-" She realized how paranoid she was sounding and stopped. "Forgive me. Living as long as I do..you begin to lose trust in everything. For now, let's go to the warehouse; we have to plan. I don't think this city is as welcoming as before." She threw her backpack over her shoulder and looked at Garret. "Where is this place?"
Garret was partially surprised when Elsidy embraced him and cried into his shoulder, but he just gave a small smile and gave her head a few gentle strokes before she let go of him and they began to walk out of the building. Not long after they were outside Garret and Percy watched the building burn down to the ground. It was a bit sad knowing that Victoria probably worked pretty hard to find this place. It made sense to burn it down, though, Brazen and the other hunters probably being able to track them down from the building.
Garret watched Victoria emerge from the flaming building through the window. Just before Victoria asked where his home was he added in, "Plus, Brazen probably already knows where the Bruschevs are anyways. I've also got a few extra mattresses and blankets too if that makes you feel any better." He turned back to Victoria when she asked him the question, "It's just within just a few blocks from here. Follow me." He began walking towards his home, Percy and Elsidy following by his side, not knowing of the immortal taking refuge there. "Hey, you sure you're alright?" Garret asked the summoner girl in a low, gentle voice after they all started walking.
