Err, on a similar note, would something similar be okay for my entry? x.x I was thinking of something like this - Amaryllis is apprentice to an elderly wizard (previously mentioned in backstory), who had known that professor to some extent. As such, both she and the wizard were present at his wake. After the faerie arrives and makes the announcement, she decides to take part in the adventure and follows the group of friends to the crossroads.

how we meet.

He was a failure, instead of picking up a sword he decided to pick up a pen and spout none-sense about poetry and feelings. Dark Elves are warriors not poets, they don't live long enough for the grey to set in their hair.

He was a foolish man, but a foolish Elf is still an Elf and he will receive an honorable burial

we meet at the wake and it turns out I know character as she was a friend/college of the professer and he kindda drags me along with the group XD

I like karaoke. But I did mean the story. I posted on the lodge board but I think it's not as checked as this one. I liked search idea about one took out an add it explains why we have different backstories and how we'd come together. We could also say we lost a friend that hamdas knew aND why hamda joined out merry crew?

Edit: also writing it in past tense and at the end making it seem like they were just relizing that memory and then asking hamda to join?

Sounds interesting to me. my character is very money grabbing so we could aalso say I joined in when I smelled an opportunity to profit from the squirls

I've been keeping a fairly close watch on both boards. When I'm not distracted, that is. And when we get into the writing part, I really want it to happen over there, for the sake of avoiding creepers. As long as we're brainstorming though, here is fine. :)

So we definitely need to refine the scenario. Maybe take out the college aspect and make the deceased just a well-known and respected person that all of them knew in some way. I like Hamda's suggestion of the deceased being a Dark Elf, nice connection there.

did you make this forum with the ping group? When you click on the MD group at the bottom before seeing members it let's you create a forum page. Did you use that for this cause if you did then only people in the ping group can get into the forum.

I actually like the prof. angle, the really long and complex specialty made me smile :D

making him a dark elf that makes it more unusual as they are mostly fighters and assassins in lore so colleges, past students and clan members (aka me) can join in the wake.
