I can get away with washing my hair just twice a week but usually its more like three or four times. It all depends on how greasy it gets or how sweaty I get. I have hair that's almost to my butt so I have to keep my scalp from getting greasy but not wash it too much so that my ends are super dry. I use the aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner on the ends and that helps a ton. I also use a hair spray and a hair oil after I shower to help detangle, keep away friz, and help prevent damage to the ends and while it seems counter intuitive I think they do also keep my hair looking cleaner. I occasionally use dry shampoo but since I have dark hair and haven't yet bought one for dark hair that can be a pain.

I wash my hair every second day, but am trying to stretch it to every third day because I've read it's better to wash less frequently ... I just feel kinda grody in the meantime ;-;

I wash my hair about 2-3 times a week, but I try to shower every day. I also take a lot of baths, haha. I have fine oily hair so I'll usually spray some dry shampoo on it on the two or three day mark after not washing it to help make it seem more presentable.

Washing your hair less helps with both less oil buildup and with less breakage. I wash my hair every 4-5 days, and my hair grows fairly quickly with limited amounts of split ends even if I use heat. If I didn't use heat on my hair I would have even better hair. I recommend using shampoos and conditioners that are gentle on your hair. Also, always brush your hair starting from the bottom upward with small bits at a time. Braids are also good for when your hair is mostly wet and you want waves or to keep it gently off your face. I also recommend doing natural treatments every once in a while, like using natural honey on your hair and the rinsing off with just water. :)

I usually wash my hair every 3-5 days, preferably with a sulfate-free shampoo (or at least one with oils/biotin). During hotter seasons I may wash it more often. To prevent gross scalp I always put my conditioner on the ends of my hair first and work it upwards by combing with a wide-toothed comb or my fingers. I have combination hair: oily at the base, dry at the ends. It's also nearly two feet long with the last two or three inches having been dyed multiple times when they were my roots. I find the best at-home hair treatment is either eggs and avocado or flat beer. Eggs and avocado are an excellent conditioner; beer is probably my favorite rinse for a clean shine. Light-colored beers like Corona or Stella are better.

I wash my hair every 7-8 days. It took a couple years to get it to that point without it being greasy. But it's a lot more manageable now. I use Beauty without Cruelty shampoo and conditioner. I tried a lot of other types, but I have thin, blond hair that cannot retain oily products without it looking oily.

I occasionally use dry shampoo (generic type) if needed. It helps a lot in the beginning when you're trying to stop washing as much.

I wash my hair every other day. It gets really oily otherwise. Though, I have heard that hair gets over-oily because of overwashing... maybe that's my problem. Anyway, I blow dry my hair every other day as well, and use Chi shampoo and conditioner. It's made for hair that's exposed to heat, and it's wonderful.

Nowadays I was my hair every 3rd day, and I could go up to 4 days without it looking too bad. But up until a year ago or so I had really oily hair and would shower at least every second day if I wanted to look even remotely decent. I think the problem was that I would borrow shampoo from my mum, and she buys the cheapest kind at whatever store she is in, so I ended up using four or five different shampoos with different strengths and ingredients. It messed my scalp up pretty badly too, I would flak a lot and my skin always itched. Now I use only one brand, and only one of their shampoos, and all of my hair/scalp problems are gone xD

Thats very true for a lot of people's hair!! I found that I was drying my hair out WAY too much by washing it every day, or even every other day, and it was getting this horrible texture and my scalp would get super oily in between (which is weird if you don't understand how oil protects your hair, and how most shampoos strip it away!)

So I actually started using baking soda + apple cider vinegar, usually every 2-4 days! I accidentally got off my routine of doing that because I used a cleansing conditioner my mom got for me for a couple of months. It made my hair worse, I think. But it feels SO much better when I do that instead of using shampoo, and it gets so strong and shiny v

I used to think I couldnt get off of using conditioner EVER because my hair tangles so easily... its been a huge problem for me ever since I was a little kid. And the ACV doesn't detangle your hair the way most conditioner does, BUT, it does condition it, and with the smoother texture it gives me, it doesnt get tangled anyway! It's incredible. I don't know how it works, but it definitely is way healthier for the type of hair I have.

I probably wash mine ~every 3-4 days. If it starts to get too greasy for my tastes I just put it up in a pony tail or bun and just wait it out a day or two more.

I wet my hair all the time, but I usually only wash it like twice a week. If you have a lot of breakage I would try some of the macadamia products, they're in brown and green packages usually and they work really well!

How often I need to wash my hair depends on the type of shampoo/conditioner I'm using. Some brands make me extra oily and itchy, and so I have to wash it more often. There are other types where I can get away with washing my hair every 2 - 3 days instead.
