Your troubles sound like me during French lessons XD How I passed my A-levels in French is still a miracle to me. That teacher you had was really really bad though. How on earth does anyone think you could learn a language that way o.o Maybe you can find some online course, if you are still interested in learning German. Or_ and I hope that is the right word in english - you have something like a community college that offers German classes. I learned a bit of Japanese that way.

Rosetta Stone is actually pretty good. I think I learned more in a day with it than I did for the 2 months in that school class XD The bad thing is that I was only one of two people that failed! I don't know how the other kids learned that way o_o Wow, Japanese is so complex. There are like 15 different ways to say simple greetings, based on the gender and profession of the person you're speaking to.

Rosetta Stone does not ring a bell right now, sorry. Who or what is it? Japanese words eventually get so long you get knots in your tongue XD Or that was at least my opinion of the verbs. Never had a chance to finish the courses though, as I had to quit Japanese when I transfered school to do my A-levels. Thank you, I'm feeling much better now. Must have been dehydrated and/or eaten something bad I think ^^

Oh Rosetta Stone is a computer language learning program. It is advertised a lot here in the USA. It's easy to learn the language basics, but very overpriced in my opinion. Instant Immersion is another one, but much cheaper. We don't have 'A-levels' here. It is grade 1-12, then an SAT exam (optional), then, possibly, college.

Oh you should drink some sports drink then like Gatorade or something. Gatorade is too sweet for me, but I mix half of it with some water. German food is delicious. If I went there I'd probably eat so much to the point of getting sick lol :P

Oh I see. I never used any computer programs to learn and I think over here they aren't as popular. Don't know what it's like nowadays though, with schools getting more PCs and tablets and stuff. Ah yes, your school system is a bit different then hours. We have three different graduations, with the lowest being in grade nine, then there is one in grade ten and the A-levels in grade 12 (or 13 in some areas/cases). Personally I got my Certificate of Graduation after grade ten and then went to a high school that specialized in economics to do my A-levels. I know I had to learn all about Us-American and British school system at some point, but that knowledge simply fluttered out of my brain XD

I'm drinking lots of tea, so I'll be fine no worries :) It is! Although I seldom cook German when fetching meals for myself. It takes hours to prepare German dishes XD Well.. most of them^^ Sausages with Sauerkraut and potatoes doesn't take too long XD

Ohhh I think it's neat to go to a high school that specializes in one area like that. It gives you more direction. Here, they throw so many different things at you, there's not much time to focus on one area of study like that-unless you join an outside program (and PAY for it..lol)

You know what else I fell in love with? Mezzo mix! I tried a can, and have been mixing regular cola with orange cola ever since XD I went to our little Germany at Epcot in Disney. I ate there every other day. Schnitzel and pretzel bread dipped in creamy,fatty sauces-ahhh so good!

I understand not wanting to cook it yourself though. You'd have to be home all the time or something. Even making my own pretzel bread at home took a long time...just the bread!

We have normal high schools as well, but usually you go there right after elementary school. However since we keep the classes we're in and don't get scrambled every year I found it smarter to finish tenth grade before attempting A-levels. (You have to do an exam in tenth grade too when you're in high school, but I went to middle school first).

Schnitzel is sooo awesome! In school we could buy Schnitzel buns, so you had a bun, with one leaf lettuce and then a Schnitzel. Delicious! (Not to mention tat we have real buns and not the things you do Hamburgers with^^ German bread and buns are things I miss when visiting the states :D

Jop exactly. Or at least somebody who could watch the kitchen, as some things you have to cook for hours, but I would feel uneasy with the oven/hearth on and nobody home.

Totally! I especially love the small ones, that you can boil and then don't even need to peel. Those together with cream make a really tasty but quick meal!

Ha, yes! The buns here are like gummy cardboard. And they fall apart! Though Wendy's has a pretzel bun burger that is good, but they don't sell it all the time.

I like the little purple and red potatoes best. I make the packets of Maggi hunter's schnitzel gravy mix and pour it on them. I'm the same way. I have a slow cooker, but I'm too paranoid to leave it on with no one here. Afraid it will catch fire and kill my cats or something. I'd feel so guilty o_o

That's why I never eat at any fast food chain except Subway. Their sandwiches are okay - if I take the whole grain version ^^

Those are nice too, I just can't buy them at my supermarket. Your way of fixing a meal with them sounds pretty tasty too __ I now crave potatoes :D Supermarkets are closed for now though, plus it's ark already and I hate to be outside when it's dark. They shut off the traffic lights on the main street in front of my house as soon as it is 8 o'clock. True there aren't many people on their way, but still I don't like it. Only the important streets get to keep the traffic light, the ones that are not THAT used often have to go without and that can be dangerous as pedestrian. Maybe I shall buy potatoes tomorrow then... Potatoes, cream and mushrooms sounds nice _

They turn off the lights at 8? Creepy..and dangerous! Sorry about that, I have a habit of making people crave foods :P lol I was going to make a chicken cutlet with the sauce, but the chicken went bad, so now I probably will have a burrito for dinner. Dangit! XD
