Also we happen to have the same first name I see, how cool. They write it with an s instead of a z in German though. We learn English as early as 3rd grade, so that is one of the main reasons there are so many people who use English well. Although I myself have no idea of grammar at all. They made us learn all the theoretical stuff at university again but I've mostly forgotten ^^" May I ask what you struggled with when learning German?

Yup, all the shelters were 'full' Even the town's kill shelter. I'm like...how can you be full when you euthanize the animals frequently? Honestly I had tried 5 shelters and they all said no. I wound up keeping her lol

We didn't start learning them until 7th-8th grade here. I had a hard time with pronunciation and the numbers above 10 XD And just plain memorizing the basic words. My German teacher was awful too though. Rather than really teaching us she handed out pamphlets for us to read through and then tested us. I think I would have done better with more interactive learning.

I was lucky because I leaned history from my grandmother around our kitchen table as a child and she inspired me with a love of it. I remember making a game of naming all of Henry's wives. There is a wonderful book of historical fiction about Elizabeth by Susan Kay called Legacy. I can't recommend it enough.

There was no unjust punishment. shakes head Honestly, I throw one pillow out a window. I made sure that the window was high enough up (4th floor) and that there was water, not rocks to land in below. The sharks, well that was the tricky part, BUT I did mistakenly push out the window when she said "someone should help him." I thought she meant that SHE wanted to help him. I did apologize for that mistake. AND as for the pillow going out the window, you OWN something and it starts to do things that upset you (Sing while you are trying to sleep and start uprisings for pillow rights) wouldn't YOU throw it out a window too? I mean they aren't seeing the fact that I didn't outright kill and never see the body again. That was me being just and fair. I gave a fighting chance.
