laughs yeah, the cage bars on the short sides are curved, so I had to try the video from the straight-bar sides, which meant he could jump too far over to stay in the frame! :P

nods Gran made my favourite birthday cake (basically a Christmas cake laughs) :D I've been good - although it was tempting, I've not "sampled" any of the cake before my birthday laughs

And yep, Gran & Grandad gave me money seeing as they've not been able to get to the shops, their next door neighbour gave me a fancy pot of handcream, Raven sent me a nifty bag for my sewing supplies, some highlighter tape for the patterns, some wool, and an amazing knitted Dumbledore that looks absolutely perfect! and Mum & Dad gave me some clothes (a really warm hooded sweatshirt :D) and some homemade vouchers :D

It's not huge like an aviary, but it's a larger cage than our previous budgies had - he can jump between the two top perches, but there's not enough space for proper flight ;)

Sounds like a good one. :) I remember a family friend used to have a shed that worked as a home for ton of budgies, he bred them. So we got to chose the ones we wanted. That is how I got Oscar- and later Happy and Funny (I know... those were awesome budgie names. o_O).

:D That's much more original than my first two budgies.... Cheep (well, I was 5 when we got him :P) and Cheep-Cheep ;) The first one didn't live particularly long (only a month or two), so Gran's friend let us have one of her budgies that she had in an aviary outside her house :D (keep reading)

Dumbledore has already made himself at home - he's currently guarding the sewing basket & knitting yarn, just so nobody else can lay claim to them laughs :D

:D And there's no real point in having sensibly named pets - that'd just be boring ;) Sid's named after a friend's nickname - his surname sounds like Aviary so his mates called him budgie.... but he's also known as Sid (from an old comedy duo, Little & Large, as he's really slim and his brother is rather large :P) ;)
