Wet winters where everything freezes into ice is the norm around here. :P I have had times where I have hardly been able to get up a small hill.. due to it being so slippery!

Ewwww those are definitely not fun! We'd only had true 'freezing rain' once, and that was once too much! At least they've topped up the grit bins on the hills now, so we can grit the roads if they get really snowy / slippery

The plushie polar bear from this month's Simply Sewing magazine - looks like it should be an interesting one to try making as the legs are part of the body piece rather than being sewn on separately ;)

you can download (link) the pdf file with the patterns in - I tend to do that regardless of whether I want the magazine or not, as you never know when the pattern would come in useful ;) (but then it does help to know how to put them together without instructions! :P)

I wish the other magazines would do the same - it's really annoying to get one because of the pattern advertised on the front, then find out that the rest of the magazine is al stuff you're not interested in :K ;)

I really wish they'd let us opt out of snowballs :( especially since you can get hit now randomly.
