Retro-gaming is quite "in" these days. :D A lot of people refurbish old consoles etc and sell them on ebay. Or some are just well-kept and works even tho they are so old. :)

hehe I don't think he'd be impressed with the lack of pet shops again though :P Mum went to another garden centre yesterday and came back with more budgie photos - sounds like she's considering another bird although she wants to wait three months in total first (only another month to go)

hehe when we got Bertie (the one before Sid), we were all at a garden centre about an hour from home. Mum spotted Bertie, had to use the store's customer payphone (it was before mobile phones :P) to phone Gran as she was storing the old cage, to say in an hour's time we'd be heading to pick up the cage and put a new budgie into it ;) That's as spontaneous as she's ever been :P

I pointed out that all the birds in her photos have yellow faces, which means they're totally different-looking to any of the other budgies we've had.... so that should limit the comparisons a bit ;)

that's good though. Maybe teach the new one different things--like instead of trying to teach him/her "pretty bird" you teach it "Bollocks" ;)

ROFLMAO Mum would love that 😇 There's a woman along the road who has a budgie (it belongs to her 3 year old son).... someone came to the house for an hour, and managed to teach the bird something that she really wouldn't want her 3 yer old to say. It wasn't a swear word, but it wasn't all that polite :P (don't ask what it was, as I can't remember! :P)
