exactly. There was no note anywhere given saying that you would not get the journal as shown on the site. Highly misleading.
in which case, it should've been the exact same thing - I mean if you bought an orange waist-length t-shirt online, you wouldn't expect to end up with a green crop top (barely enough to cover the essentials)!

-nods- precisely.
This Is the advertised one.
But this:

this is what I got :/ (they did include the dress form and wings, but had to send those back) seem a bit different?
just slightly! If it was shown as spiral bound, that's what you should've got - those little binder rings are pretty cheap aren't they? (that's what I bought before - I think my journal thing cost me less than £2 to make with those! Although admittedly that was with blank pages)

yeah those binder clips come in a pack and only $2 or something for like 20 or more. The pages were blank though. She bought a canson mixed media large pad and then got it cut down. Bragged that it cost her $12 for 50 people. The class was about making pages in mixed media.
See for this one, I am planning on using it for my "blog" about sewing. Making it a bit of a blog, scrapbook. With pieces of the fabric and embellishments on top of the pages--using the mixed media parts as the background.
The other one I am making will be similar except this one would be a journal. So if I took a picture of Nigel or whatever, I might included that in the journal or just embellish it as i go.
that's definitely cheating from what she showed in the first place! :K
That's going to look fantastic! :D Sounds like it'll be a bit similar to one I've seen somewhere before.... rummages to the link Kind of like this? but more journal / scrapbook than sketches?

-nods- I'm glad I'm not alone in this. lol i was like... not cool. -nods- that's basically what I saw a few months ago and wanted to do. Adding in sketches if I felt like doodling. Its a neat approach to a journal xD.
Having something you have been looking forward to spoiled is the worst. ;) I think its quite a charming book so far. :)
Good girl. Or else I am gonna have to erm... do something mean.. to make you post some pics. :D

nods I've never tried a journal - still working on my basic photo album / scrapbook thing for the allotment at the moment laughs
Yeah, especially if they let slip a main twist in the plot! :K :P

I've done journaling in the past but never stuck with it. Then again never done it to this kind of idea before either.
It definitely looks like it should be fun to work on - well, once you get the refund for the shoddy supplies that is!

oh I already got new supplies and two sketch books. Been making it for over two weeks. lol 90 pages together so gonna take awhile
that's quite a project, to get that many pages done!

and I reckon you'll get that done long before I get back to working on my Sherlock scrapbook! :P

well I've had the idea for about a year and a half so far, and haven't actually got anything stuck on a page yet :P

once I get over that "I don't want to make a mess of sticking the first picture in there" stage, it should go quite smoothly ;)
