it is isn't it? Its $8.99 per book so $62.93 if you bought each one individually, or bundle and get it for $57. The series is the only book series I would actually shell out that much for but not if I can't have the version I want. I really dislike the American version, particularly the first 2 books. The others are better as the publishers started getting lazy (or google was becoming more popular) and they didn't change so much but the first book is a big difference. Particularly--windscreen vs windshield... boot vs trunk, motorbike vs motorcycle and even their speeches have changes. Herminone saying toilet instead of bathroom and so on.

:K that seems crazy that they made so many changes to it! Do you have all the printed books in the right version now at least?

I'm missing a few, been slowly replacing them.

I'm (ironically) still trying to get books 1-4 in the correct version hardcovers. I have read 3, 4 and 5 so much that the binding broke, which tells you how much since I barely open it and use a book stand lol. So my brother replaced 5 first, but then did 7 and then 6.

whoa, 5 definitely had a lot of use! Does it matter which cover picture it has, just in case I spot them at any point (they keep releasing new covers for some reason)?

5 was my favourite, despite the ending which broke my heart the first like 20 times I read it. 3 and 4 are close there. I think because 5 is so big that that's why the binding went first. 4 has several loose pages and three cracks when I open it, so been trying to read the better condition ones lol which is hard cos -twitch- I likes them all my precious.

Not in the slightest. I'm not a cover snob--well I lie, lol if there's a dust jacket I prefer them to be in good condition but that's were my snobbery ends lol.

Checking the prices at the 'cheap' book store, it looks like they're about 10 quid for a brand new hardback o.O

I've got the first 4 in paperback, and the others in hardback, so the paperback ones have stood up to a bit more use (3 has to be my ultimate favourite)

yeah that's about what I expected. its about that price on Amazon for the American versions. I admit, I'm a hardback snob lol.
3 is omw so awesome! I love it! But the tournament in 4, the foreign schools and even the mystery of why harry was in the GoF was epic too :D.

I think I paid about 10 quid for book 5 when it was released (got it on special offer), so I'm surprised they're still that kind of price now :K laughs but Sirius is in book 3 :P so that trumps book 4 😇

But he's in 4 too :P I'm not, not considering its popularity, the new book and the price of the ebooks :P

well yeah :P I think I went off book 4 after I saw the movie ;) True - I hadn't looked at the ebook price before that though :P

There's also a script book of the Newt Scamander movie being released isn't there?

ugh don't get me started on that ghastly thing they dared call a movie :K it was horrendous. I believe so and I think there's supposed to be a movie on the Beasts and where to find them... okay think its time to fly off to me nest and get some sleep :P peck at you later lol -caw-

I noticed that I had managed to knit in my stitch marker. o_O I am gonna have to either cut it or risk dropping many stitches to try and save it. Bah. lol
