Bah, I was trying to download an instruction book for the dehumidifier that Grandad let us borrow (he lost the instructions), and ended up with malware on my computer :K Hopefully I've got rid it it now.... that was really annoying (three virus scans later, and having to reinstall Chrome and Firefox)

[edit] Make that 3 virus scans, installing 2 anti-malware programmes, scanning those three times each, and a few restarts.... has my toes crossed that it's sorted now

I thought it was, but I left the computer for a couple of hours, got back and noticed that my anti-virus software was asking me if I wanted to do the download that the computer was trying to do.... which is really odd as I wasn't there to tell it to download anything o.O so I'm not 100% certain that I have got rid of it :K

yeah, I thought I'd let RP-Paddy have a go at fixing it ;) It's still trying to access a website without me telling it to today (although the new anti-malware programme is stopping the connection), so I'm waiting to hear back from that company to see if they can help me sort out why it's doing that :K

yeah, I haven't got a clue. If I can't sort it out, then I'll take it to Grandad's friend (that friend runs a computer store and tends to be quite knowledgeable on stuff like that)

yeah, following the instructions I got yesterday was ok, but the second set of instructions is a lot more complex!
