Jenn wasn't kidding -- it was a quiet weekend!

Friday was a bit crazy for me between a phone interview and then rushing into work to finish up some things, and then setting up my in person interview for tomorrow (!!) and conversations with multiple recruiters between then and now. Bleh this job search thing is very draining.

Trying to do some interview prep tonight, but I am wiped out. Not ideal to be going downtown on Election Day, but it is what it is! Hopefully the traffic isn't too bad in the middle of the day. Fingers crossed something pans out between this position or a few others I've applied to and am waiting to hear back about. I'm being laid off next Tuesday. Nice to have the heads up, annoying to be in this position significantly earlier than expected since my current job was supposed to last until June... Tis the nature of grant funding, I suppose. If it's not there, then you're all screwed lol. Fortunately I've got some money squirreled away, but I'd rather not have to tap into it too much! Here's hoping for the best :)

It's been busy around here, we added lights to our driveway this weekend and the hubby is working on replacing out the gate entry system - it was a digital pad that you entered the code and the gate opened (plus we have clickers), but something happened a couple of weeks ago and all the punch pads quit working and then shortly after the clickers quit too - the panic I had when I couldn't get the gate to open was something, lol. Anyway, he had to put in a new board so once again new clickers (3rd time in 2 years), but this board works with a call box and not a punch pad...so now when people come over they can push the button and it will call me...um yay?!? lol.

On top of all that fun I've been getting everything I need for my LuLaRoe onboarding taken care of. At this point I'm good on everything except my racks - pretty big missing item, lol, but we know what we're doing, just waiting on the company to call us back and let us know if we can get what we want/need from them or if we have to find a different supplier - hoping to hear back today! This weekend we will finish emptying the man cave - oh yes, the hubby willingly gave up his man cave for me!! I was content to figure out how to utilize the guest room portion of the guest house, but he gave up the main space <3 Once it's empty it'll be time to paint! I can't begin to explain how excited I am, first room/area/anything in the 2+ years that we've lived here that he's 'allowed' me to paint!!! I'm going with a very light light grey, it's best for taking pics too since it doesn't reflect or distort the colors of the clothing :) Step by step it's getting there! Pretty good! I got a call last night asking for my references, and they all thought their conversations with the recruiter went really well. Fingers crossed that I get the job, but if not I'm still sending out applications. Ho hum
