My work friends and I thoroughly disagreed haha. I thought it read like average fan fiction. The story was good, but some of the character's actions seemed so out of character. You could tell that although it was based on a short story by JK Rowling, it wasn't written by her. The dialogue was very different from her style. It was a good airport read, but I didn't really like it. I'm sure the play is wonderful, but I'm going to pretend it doesn't exist and isn't canon because it doesn't fit with the world I grew up reading.

I can't argue that the style was different but that didn't take away from the story for me. I really enjoyed the kids and all of the what-ifs!(I don't want to say any more there and create a spoiler)

That what if's were a lot of fun. I really liked that aspect of the story. It was enjoyable for what it was, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I didn't come into it thinking that it was part of the same Potter universe Rowling had created. I did have fun reading it, but it took a little while to really get into it. It was much easier to read once I took a step back from the seven books and enjoy the story for what it was. :)

I really like the new HP book. I didn't notice the difference in writing too much after the first few pages. I just got used to it and started reading it. I have some stickers in trades if anyone is able to stick me. I would greatly appreciate it. I snuck my computer to work today and am playing on my lunch break.

Scored 1 bathhouse point today :) My list of things to do for the raffle more than a little sucked, but I made it though...only about 200k lighter in the sp but hopefully it's like they said and will be worth it!

Dyed my hair what should have been sapphire last night and it turned out super dark teal..not at all what I was going for :( Have to stop at the store later and grab a slightly different dark blue and try again - I just wanted dark blue hair...not green, I've done teal so many times some would think it was my natural color, lol. Hopefully the next round works out better!

Okay where do I find the list for what I can combine in that lab. It's one of my raffle things today.

I won't lie. I'm really bummed I didn't win the camp contest. Oh well. Next time I will do better!

Have another hour to see if my hair finally turned out the right color. Did it last night and what should have been Sapphire turned out dark teal - I was not pleased, lol. Went to the store and picked up the darkest blue they had and am currently waiting on it to do its thing... I swore I would never use splat again because it's not a dye, it's a stain...but when no other brand comes close to having the dark blue I wanted I caved and said screw it...I'm sure I'll regret it at some point but at the moment I'm too excited to have navy hair :)

Day 26 was another Tique invite for me. Slowly buying WL items so I can cut down on that section of my WL. The CSC has been a really nice surprise from the raffle, as has the referral point I got a few days ago. Fingers crossed the next four days have good stuff!

Thanks guys. Things are starting to get stressful. My list of things to do keeps growing. At least most of the stuff is done, just little stuff to do yet. Then maybe I won't be so busy! It has been a busy, busy summer. I feel like just about every other weekend I'm up north by my parents getting wedding stuff done. My cousin is getting married a month after me so I've been participating in her showers and stuff and anther cousin is having a baby, so there's a baby shower thrown in. I'm really stressed about money! Ugh. But the day will come and go quickly and it should be fun.

Now I just have to remember to do the raffle and bathhouse!

Also, thanks for the amulet, whoever sent that. I hope some of us will win something with the raffle.

i read the new harry potter script book... you really need to read it as a script... it leaves it open for your mind to fill in all the images and feelings... i've heard fabulous reviews of the play. i loved the story... don't want to elaborate on anything though!
