And um.. I got your mail hon and I honestly didn't know a thing about any reset. It shocked me, LOL! In all honesty the "you're capped so sit back and watch others pass you by because they're tanking intel and you can't do a thing about it" bs from back when it first was implemented left such a bad taste in my mouth.. then when those who threw a fit about needing a cap on the top pets were also capped they threw a fit and got it raised.. well I've never really gotten back into the swing of things battle wise. I had a goal of hitting 8k strength but haven't even messed with that.

is very busy with a new baby I'm sure but I'll ping him in hopes he has a moment and link his Subeta Battling Blog on tumblr and drag into the lair (don't be a'skered, we're not too terrible) because he and MCS are both incredibly helpful strategists. What shes looking for is advice against these opponents: prodigy- meatslab furious- baenwurath- mutant scientist-prakherash-the mage and forj matriarch the erupting are on her "to do list"

Oh and since I drug ya in here, Kbbob, whats this about a reset? Can you fill me in? The Lady hasn't battled half the opponents to 10 yet so if they're serious I could be in trouble for my slacking xD

edits One last thing.. anyone want to trade vanilla extract for a stick of butter or canola oil?? I've run out of butter for baking!

A reset is coming but we don't really know when. I'm thinking within the year, I'm sure when the BAs know they'll let us know and announce it.

As for the opponents, (is it I'm helping?) What weapons do you have and what are your stats?

Yep, it sure is, bones is a great battler but shys away from the battle thread, english isn't her first language and like a lot of people that makes her nervous. But I'll be reading along too because I also need the advice.

well most of those challengers are reliant on what weapons you can get your hands on, as long as you have sufficient stats. the easiest one there is probably forj, hardest being baenwurath. I just want to know stats/weapons before I get started so I have a starting point

It's so cute, Charisma and Cordelia are "discovering" each other. They just spent half an hour play-wrestling. Crockett is just staying out of their way, lol.

I've scanned through the upcoming thread and the summary at the beginning appears to be fairly good representation of what's going on. The BAs don't appear to pretend to Announce in Announcements and don't look like they're gonna ask for Feedback in Feedback or Suggestions. The News page of the Colosseum is gone so info appears to be in Battle Forum entirely.

Most of the challengers Laurie has listed have kicked the butts of my strongest pets who are in the 5K range, but even at BoneCollector (the pet's) stats, Forj Matriarch really can't hurt you that badly. What kills you with her is that it's hard to damage her properly and she heals enough so she eventually wears you out with her buildup attacks. I didn't get any of the high-water-damage Scrolls that you can only get via special event battles, so I had to spam her with lots (LOTS!) of Dark Water Potions, one-time saves randomly guessed with Shards and spammy block scrolls, in addition to my other healy weaponry that happened to have chocks for Water Baguettes and did some Water themselves.

Prodigy needs to either be slammed with chain-freeze or over-healed against tbh. Keep one strong healer (Holy Deluge works for me) on those turns when it's resistant to freezing. None of the finesse strategies or own-only-this-weapon-we-never-let-anyone-other-than-the-old-guard get strategies I have read work for me. Intricate En-something Helm protects you from it's initial freeze, and have a few freeze protectors chocked in. I have always had really high speed since I train even, and I have been able to curse, bless and status-effect it to death once I was able to deal out almost as much damage as it and heal out about as much damage as it does. This is harder to do since the upgrade in speeds of all Challengers post-Kiyo (Because why the fuck should Speed be useful to anyone? Speed appears to be a stat that the purpose of it is to punish you for not having it?) but still possible. If you have an Core of the Island and the Muerte special sauce these can be used to give you a breatherful of room.

All the others are too tough for me.

[edit] you can keep asking for advice here if you're more comfortable that way, it makes me no difference :) prodigy can be beaten by t11 pets and newly t12 pets with the right weapons, but its crits can be annoying. forj is probably a bit easier since you have the stats. You may want a bit more health before you attempt Meatslab and Baenwurath. I'm not actually sure what stats are good for prakherash and the mage, but I can provide you with good weapons for them if you're interested in trying

you are welcome Nancy, sorry I wasn't much helpful. As my pets neared the cap I started using Tomes so I have AP to spare and scrolls really do matter. There are a few challengers you can spam Cobalts and Eternals on so I boosted my AP to be able to fire of ten of each, plus a utility scroll and an attack scroll.

() I hated the Stat Cap and fought against it when it was proposed. A lot of what I see in Battle is that the old guard who never had particularly strong pets years ago compared to the strength of pets now wanted to preserve their super-duper-preciousness of being first and only at doing certain things and acquiring certain items. Me, I'm primarily a merchant here and we do not get this special treatment: our precious items get devalued suddenly, all the time.

So I do sympathize with those who wanted it at first. It was just a bad idea.

i indeed ment that i sometimes use dds and sometimes the helmet because none of them worked i tried to switch just like i switched scrolls one time i used the unstable snowfairy another time the skelly or the devine denizhen

Yeah you can mail me :) I prefer helmet over DDS in almost every situation. I do keep unstable fairy in my scroll set, but I wouldn't use divine denizhen any more, that is much better on pets that are maybe t5 and lower. skelly is really one of the best scrolls on the site, so having it equipped always is not a bad idea.

Honestly, I need to finish my guide for Praksherath (or whatever his name is), but never had the time.
