Pineapples can sometimes look a little alien. I think may have got a full-on alien one because pineapples that come my way are pretty much always a juicy mess. :)

I go through 2 fresh pineapples a week in the warm months and maybe the Australian ones are different or maybe I am alien in the way I prepare them. I buy 2 a week and leave them sit on the bench until a wonderful smell comes from them then I attack.

-ie For pineapple size, it's really whatever size y'all like for a "bite".

What you need: Pineapple half pound bacon about 1/3 to 1/2 cup brown sugar

Take out half a pound of bacon and cut it in 1/3's unless you like huge chunks of pineapple. For those you might want to cut the bacon in half. The bacon needs to overlap

Wrap the entire bite and secure with a toothpick and put it in a shallow pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top of them and put the pan in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.

You don't want a lot of brown sugar, just a sprinkle or two and it like caramelizes a bit that brings the sweet of the pineapple and the smokey of the bacon together.

When the edges of the bacon begin to look done, they're ready to come out of the oven. Put them on paper towels to drain and cool a bit and you've got a delightful snack!

Mine was the same way, Ike, lol, that juice was from one end of the counter to the other by the time I was done xD Of course any "fresh" produce here is a farce in winter time, so I'm sure it was rather ripe by the time it made it to my counter.

: I call pineapples 'priggle fruit' but Fenberry bites me and Bubbles Galore makes weird suggestive off-color innuendoes about my heritage in a German-Pidgen dialect when I do. I don't cook, but I can chop and Weldon taught me how to core a pineapple. Use a BIG SHARP chef's knife. Big and Sharp.

- We did watch the game! We're not normally a football household, preferring soccer, but my sister and brother-in-law are here for a visit, so we all watched the game last night. It wasn't a great game, but it wasn't awful either. I felt bad for Cam Newton... He just couldn't get anything done. Same could actually be said for Peyton Manning too. It kind of all came down to defense last night, which is how it's been in most recent Super Bowl games. I'm happy that the Broncos won. I have a feeling that Peyton will retire after this.... It would be smart to go out on a high note. I was impressed with Lady Gaga too with the National Anthem. Nice to see someone not try to overdo it and actually remember the correct words ;) Coldplay, Beyonce, and Bruno Mars did a nice job too and it was cute to see the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra kids up on stage with them :) <3
