Hi I had my surgery, I tire easy so only here limited times for now. They kept me over night, because they didnt do my surgery until 5:30 pm. I waited 7 hours to do surgery, other emergency came in.

If it wasn't past 4pm, Id likely be headed on my way to what passes for city hall in my town (also the 'water company', and there the police hang out when not doing police stuff) to turn in a job application. (since the place I would turn it in at closes at 4pm, and its almost 5:30pm, i have to wait until tomorrow)

But its for unarmed security at the local Tyson Chicken place (pretty sure thats where), and Im pretty sure the training stuff i did a few years ago in Texas will help somewhat? (Im in Arkansas). Theres a bit of info for the app I need to get (like phone numbers for the references, and fill out the job history), and Im all good :D

An extra good part is the lady that has been helping run the apartments I live in lately is married to the chief of police in town, and from what my mom says has mentioned to him that I need a job, and that I have 'experience' in security (well, education/training that is).

crosses fingers hHeres to hoping I can actually get hired. :) The place is maybe 10 minute walk up the road from me, so getting to work wouldn't be a problem :D

Had a long day of medical stuff over here. Got the bittersweet news that, as of right now, my new doctor agrees with my old doctor's diagnosis. Bitter because the diagnosis is unpleasant. Sweet because at least that means we've been going in the right direction. I've got some lab work scheduled for later this week, some phone calls to make for insurance stuff, and possibly a round of immunizations to update but I'm trying my best to be optimistic. I'm rarely very good at being optimistic.

Its 12 hour shifts, which considering I can stay up 18+ hours before actually feeling sleepy, Im pretty sure i can do taht. But thats when Im not working...Oo Lets find out! XD

And maybe if Im able to brave the Thanksgiving sales at WalMart, and its on sale, I can FINALLY get the yarn colors to make stuff for family/friends. cackles Much evil to be done...

And get a sewing machine for myself, to make more things!

Dear God, the crafty ideas are strong with me...

The wait had to have stressful but at least it is over and you are home. To me after surgery it is always a good idea to stay over night just in case of complications. Take it easy for now and listen to that tired voice when it pipes up. Seems like you have your poop in a group! One thing they love to hear is that you live near by - walking distance is a major plus and bad weather would not be a problem such as snow.

Poop in a group...XD XD It rarely snows enough here to have it count as an 'act of God' and an excused absence from work. A few times when I worked at WalMart I asked the store manager a few times if stuff like that will count against me, and he said no- though with the changes Ive heard the store go through lately I dont know if thats still true.

But if its raining cats, dogs and various small creatures, thats anotehr story. The people around here aren't always the smartest when it comes to driving in bad weather...3 or 4 years ago when it snowed on Christmas day, it snowed a LOT (at least nough to get to the top of a 2 liter bottle of soda puton the ground), and the first day it was save to drive my mom and I went into town- I think I counted 7 cars in the ditches to WalMart? Hopefully noone was hurt, but since there was nothing in the local paper from what I remember, I dont thin anyone was hurt too bad.

Even if Idid know how to drive, theres no way I would in those conditions unless it was a OMG GOTTA GO NOW TO DO THE THING (like some sorto f emergency, or baby food/formula was needed and noone really close had any to spare)

Just hope that what ever policy they tell you is in place that the info is current - like you say things can change. Personally I doubt that you would abuse by being out if you could help it. Plus you are known in the community - huge help. Am like you - I do not know how to drive and I like it that way! Would be too afraid of the other guy.

Most things I want to do are a yearly thing, so even if i have to miss it one year (like this year and AnimeFest), I can always try next year! Or see if theres a way I can schedulel the time off if I have a 'set schedule' and the thing is on a day/days I work.

No idea what they pay is, but even minimum wage is better than what i have now. But I figure it'll be roughly the same as WalMart when I left at $9/hr. does fancy math around $500/2 weeks after taxes and whatnot if the calculators Ive checked are mildly accurate.

Now Im wanting to do all the maths to see the cost of the stuff I want to do- one of which involves a Supernatural convention in Seattle next year...And I have family in the area I think :D

And its a good thing I dont have to worry about anything showing up when Im fingerprinted/drug tested/have background check. Unless im somehow a criminal and i dont know about it...XP

At least you probably will get to one of them. I've no worries about the personal testing on you!
