I have just been working and taking care of my little family. Not doing much else. Been stuck inside all weekend because of flooding all around. But nothing directly happened to me, just got bad all around.

AMEN!!!! The last report said 4 dead, and 20,000 people have been rescued/evacuated. But as much as I hurt for the family who have lost loved ones, that number could be a lot higher. SO God had his hand down here. And our community really came together to help each other.

Unfortunately Hurricane Katrina gave this nation some lessons on taking care of people in that situation. Thank God Katrina's situation wasnt repeated! I mourn for the lose of the 4, and celebrate the lives of 20,00 people.

I think our community is pretty strong. There have been people who have volunteered their time, money, and resources to help rescue others. Hundreds of volunteers, and they are the reason why so many lives were saved. I am glad that I am from a place where people's hearts are so big, and full. But honestly, I wish I had the resources to move some place else. This past weekend has been mentally and emotionally exhausting for me. I know disaster can strike no matter where you live. But this was a lot to handle.

unfortunately my sis isnt a bear. thanks so much!!! The results of community coming together was great, they worked like a well oiled machine. I appreciate living a desert area, but miss mountains and lush green vegetation.
