Nevertheless I personally don't care if haggling comes back or not so I'll just wait and see what happens.

Also, for all the talk about "too many items/load on the database" this is kind of an open door for huge, massively stocked user stores. I know my store stock's going to be quite a bit larger after today just because it's so blazingly easy and fast to buy things.
And something doesn't add up. If hardly anyone haggled, than removing haggling won't make much difference in terms of SP in circulation... so why do it?
<p>NPC shop prices are what they were before haggling. I think they should be reduced to what we could buy them for after we&;d haggled. I always haggled but as I&;m a multi billionaire the extra cost doesn&;t really affect me. It&;s going to make things a harder for new players, though, because they don&;t have the sP to spare.
I TOTALLY agree that it will be harder for the new users to get the sp even though it is easier to buy. Personally, I liked the haggling because it made me feel like I saved some sp from each purchase.

I think that we've gotten confused on the purpose of this change. It isn't as a sP sink or to remove more sP from circulation, but to streamline the process. Haggling was one of those features we brought over from Neopets to make the sites seem similar and not confusing to move from and didn't actually make much sense.
Most users don't haggle, some users even pay more if the price is easier to do 2222 to (even if the price is 2201 or something) and it just isn't something that needed to be there. Now you click the item, you've got the item. The process is much much easier.
And it's worked!

That's the number of item purchases today from user shops and main shops. That number hasn't been that close together in years.

I always haggled too. I actually just recently started offering different amounts than my usual to try and cut that little bit extra sP and I was just getting used to them.
Now I get to try and figure out if a close user shop amount or my discount card + shop price will actually be lower
I'm not concerned about autobuyers :)

What about people who have older computers that can't load as fast as everyone else and miss out even more now that its instant? I have always had trouble with catching stuff in shops.
Well, if you wanted to make me spend sP I have to admit that 15% off buff did it...

I'm betting that's party because people are rushing to shops to test out the change. I wouldn't be surprised if that dies down in a week or so.
It's way too early to make those kind of assumptions.

I am surprised more people aren't happy about this. Haggling was a pain in the arse. So you save a few SP sometimes. I'd rather pay a set price than type type type. Especially on my iPad. And ESPECIALLY during quests. I LOVE the change. Thank you!
Actually I mostly agree with Sleeb, I'm pretty sure you can figure out who is autobuying if any after a while, but this instant thing is a killer for restockers with even slightly slower computers I think.

Although I've always haggled, I enjoy this update! Questing is now much faster and I don't mind the removal...even 10k don't make THAT difference, calm down. (:

I LOVE to haggle and am really going to miss the feature. The savings on R79-89 items was often significant and was the deciding factor of where I&;d buy.</p>
<p>User shops are getting a lot more of my money because without the haggle, they&;re cheaper.

what the ever loving fuck? I was so proud when I figured out the exact %. In my - hey - trophy for restocking no longer keeps count?? well, anyway, thousands and thousands of purchases I always paid the exact lowest amount possible. sigh
EDIT - for those saying haggling was a bother - you didn't have to haggle - just type in that you were willing to pay full price.
Just wanted to say that I miss the hagglin' already... I've been doin' it for the past almost 8 years here and the 6 years I played Neo prior...
It is faster without, so it will make it impossible for me to RS anything decent, but I will adapt over time...
Still sad that hagglin' is in the past, though... I feel like an era has passed... -_-
