After doing some questing I'd like to request that the green 'add to wardrobe' button when purchasing from a user shop be reinstated please. I would find lots of cheap wearables I still needed while questing with this feature and am sad now that it's generic with every purchase. Perhaps the 'add to' button for anything could only appear when you don't have that thing added to your wardrobe/collection already?
YES! YES THANK YOU! You have no idea how much I've wanted this!
(Although can you explain the bit about the haggling again?)
I haggle (barely) while questing, and honestly I really dig this. I'll miss it for 'All That Glitters' since you can get ~5k discount or so, but honestly-- for all the others, this is just beautiful. When I quest it's usually at dumb-o-clock in the morning when my cat is hangin' out in my lap, and since he's a giant beast of an animal i basically can't use my keyboard- so I have to do 'em one-armed. Auto-fill usually works unless it's a weird price, but this morning was totally awesome and un-cat-disturbing and I loved lazily doing them so much~~~

Thanks for the updates to the shops. I love the fact that an item can be added directly to a collection that is uber helpful and yes I am a haggler, although I also have a discount card. I usually haggled with set prices easily typed so I could purchase things faster so if an item was 2367 I would offer 2111 and get the item and then get my extra 20 percent. I am a restocker and it is one of my favorite things to do here on the site and personally having a discount card is enough for me... although secretly I am saving up for a 30 percent card...
Fucks sake.
What us this ridiculous idea that Keith has that because only a small proportion of users do a certain thing, then that makes that thing stupid and boring and redundant? How dare we have choice? Lots of people haggled (although Id barely call it that) and were happy to do so. I liked saving a bit of money, not to mention the challenge of working out a lower price. Between restocking and questing, you've just upended a lot of how I interact with the site. Thanks a lot.
I assume this is part of making the site more "friendly", which mostly seems to be succeeding in putting most of the existing userbase off side.
I am with you on the button only showing if an item was not there, that way I was aware that I needed one for my own wardrobe, especially when I quest and purchase an item then I can sometimes if the price is good purchase one for the quest and an additional one for my wardrobe.
Also I am way okay with no haggling - so much faster
I just found that I was questing and I was asked for a trading card and when I purchased it I clicked on the put in collection button to see if the error message would come up since I had that card in my collection already. Well when I clicked the button it said moved and turned green with a check mark. I found that strange since I have all the trading cards in my collection except the Blackheart Hollow one and when I looked in my items it was indeed gone, so I purchased another one for the quest and clicked the move button again to see if the error would come up again saying I already had the card in my collection and again it said moved turned green with a check mark and disappeared from my inventory. I know you will say file a ticket to get my items back and like I said it was not expensive but wanted to try it but not sure if you are aware this has happened. I would like to see it be like the books I know my pet has read it if it does not give me the option to read it.
Great job on the team for making strides and all the updates over the past year
I actually really like this update. It makes questing so much easier and saves quite a bit of time. :) I also think it's very convenient that you added an "Add to __" feature.
Good job!
Ok. That one took me by surprise this morning. I've always taken advantage of the savings one can get by haggling. It would be nice if you'd give that option back, but I'll adjust.
Please remove the skip haggle thing....I always haggle and I do not to buy at base price
So glad I did all my quests before this HORRIBLE change
Well that was a surprise. Thanks for working so hard and everything but I'd like to add my voice to the people that haggle and would please like it back. The shops look nifty though! :D
They/ThemI lovelovelove this! It is an answer to all my prayers! I have a slow connection and while I am fast by clicking the item I was far too slow with typing the price AND the safety code to ever get anything interesting from the main shops so I gave up on trying a long time ago. Now I'll have much more fun on the side and may actually even get one or another seasonal goodie!
I also hate the add to.wardrobe change. Why the hell does it have to be with every purchase??? If I already have it, I don't want to waste my time and money buying another, if the item was for a quest, if I end up ALREADY HAVING IT
Well this burns my hide. I haggle on every item I buy from the main shops!! I was surprised to hear that "most people" don't. And to have Keith say, "and the ones that do didn't really need the extra sP" is insulting to me. How do you think I made the sP in the first place? By being able to haggle down the shop price so I could resell for a higher price in my own shop! Also the fact that a lot of items in the main shops are priced too high to begin with made haggling a worthwhile tool to me. I can see where this might be useful while questing but for those who do a lot of restocking, not so much!!
There have been some really great changes and so far the only thing I really don't like is the "testing" of the no haggle under rarity 90. I haggled everything and it's hard to believe the data showed that there wasn't enough people that were doing it. Those few saved sP's really add up, imo.
I'd probably get used to it, and overall I may not even notice a whole lot b/c the other changes are pretty awesome and the updates to the site are wonderful.

actually on second thought...i think i'm okay with haggling removed. i do see how it's helpful as an sp sink, and there are still discount cards.
OMG, that's the best change EVER! THANK YOU! Actually I used to haggle (for those who don't know, shopkeepers accept any price 15% below from the original price, even without any discount card - and I guess 15% higher as well), but buying it directly without captcha or even typing is AWESOME!
[edit] I guess most people are afraid to lose their purchase and don't know how much they can haggle, so they purchase really close to the base price. But well, let's see the bright side: faster quest and more chance to get the item, without the fear of typing it fast or wrongly and even without captcha!
Also disappointed by the removal of haggling, since I always did. It will be interesting to see how this affects user shop prices. I'm also a bit concerned about the haggle/captcha being removed for items up to rarity 90. Why set it so high and not at 66 for all rares? It may be nothing in the end since the 5 second rule is still in effect and most RSers are faster than that at entering the haggle/captcha but I would hate for this change to affect the availability of those items in the main shops.
An across the board 10% price reduction in main shops to make up for no haggling would be really appreciated!
However, once the kinks are worked out, the direct add to collections feature should be really nice!
(And echoing the self-sticker wish - I have so many stickers saved up in my vault because I forget and/or don't want to bother my friends to stick me)
I think they wouldn't do a 10% off the main shops price, 'cause it'd be easier just to reduce the price (more things to the server proccess, and more thing to our brains to proccess - imagine if someone see something for 1,226 on the main shops and 1,056 on the ushops; until the person realize buying from the ushops would be slightly better, it could cost a decrease to 15 tokens on Wizard, for example). But what I do like is something like a buff (we have just a few of those). Something like: every X purchases from main shops you get a buff of 10%/15%/20% directly while purchasing the item (like discount cards), for X hours or one day.
Aww I was a haggler too. :/ I do love the feature that allows you to see if it's in your collection. One too many times I've purchased a plushie or beanbag that I thought I did not have in my collection but would come to find out i did.
