Ugh no joke here. No. Joke.
The only thing exclusive on subeta is the stupid referral items 90% of the site will never see, and godlies. That shop literally is shooting the site in the foot by putting anything in there other than.... nothing. It's killing the site by existing.
Want to collect wearables? BETTER GO TO THE PUBLIC LIBRARY AND MAKE A BUNCH OF ACCOUNTS. Want to complete that PLushie/Beanbag/Sticker collection? BETTER GO DO THE SAME THING. Want to read all the books to a pet? BETTER GO DO THE SAME! Want to feed all the books to a pet? LOL, GUESS WHERE THIS IS GOING?
It literally kills the main thing a lot of users are here for (wears) and it destroys the will to actually dedicate yourself to any collection-- I should add that collections are a one way street that people sink a lot of their sP into.
Stop. Stop, that is the worse thing for the site-- it clearly isn't encouraging anyone to go make fake accounts at the local library, people who have people to refer will probably do so already all this is doing is punishing/pushing away users who don't have anyone to refer in the first place.
Or, make it where you can buy referral points with sP. Ugh.
when I typed that up I thinking currently of retired opponents. New opponents are usually just given out but it might be a thought to throw a few sP-buyable ones in now and again if they don't get retired.
I am SO in agreement with SubQ makeup not needing invites! Unless there was some way of getting a lot more (and being able to redeem multiples at once) in one go.
I'd love a way to buy referral prizes, too, just because there are so many of us that don't have anywhere to refer others. The items in that shop are pretty much unobtainable.

Alright! c: Because I think besides the constant new battle challengers for csc, we don't have new opponents save for some events. And that makes me sad. xD I wouldn't be opposed to research note challengers being un-retired for a limited period of time for an sp premium (a lot of the notes are at 45mil or higher on the shop search, that's well 4-5X their original price tag just wow, obviously not bringing them back for 250 csc's worth but well above) as I imagine that would create a great sp sink even if only a handful of users were to buy them. (Why pay someone 5X the amount when you can pay the site and get rid of the sp for slightly less, you know?) And if it is possible, I'd prefer it to be pay sp to unlock the challenger straight away aka no book, since if research notes are meant to be so limited in scope as they have been now (not brought back during any sales, etc.), then a straight to unlock the challenger makes more sense to me.
I saw a few suggestions for buying an autoprice for sP, but that's probably one of the biggest benefits of a GA (which makes the site a whole lot of very necessary money), so you'd have to seriously think about how to make it still more appealing to have the GA than buy the autoprice with sP. If you were going to go that route, maybe make it so you can only sP autoprice say, once a week? Or once every other week? Or, maybe make it so it will only autoprice a random 100 or 200 items in the shop, rather than autopricing everything (though that could be a huge pain to code). It could also be that an sP autoprice will only autoprice items less than 100k, rather than 1mil.
Also for what it's worth, I am saying this as someone who cannot afford to buy a GA or CSC.
Once a week or even once a fortnight would be fine as far as I'm concerned. I can no longer cope with pricing things by hand due to age and arthritis. The sP cost of a GA now is so horrendous that I'd have to drive myself to exhaustion every day with quests, vending and restocking to make buying one worthwhile. The alternative would be saving up items I get from quests until I obtain a 3 month GA from a loyalty box once a year. :)
Within my post I made note as to why having a GA for APing would be a lot more beneficial -
That's what'd make them so different. As a non-GA, you'd just be able to autoprice blindly, once for a fee, and then have to do a shop search if you want to reprice anything instead of seeing the lowest price at a glance. Like I read, maybe not daily but every 2-3 days or something. GAs could still have the option of APing twice a day - once for free and once for sP along with all the other features that are already attached to the GA
I still disagree about the Research Notes being paid for with sP. They should still be paid for through the CS directly with CSC and you'd only be able to unlock the challenger(s). You wouldn't be able to get the items themselves. The notes themselves were originally paid for with CSC, and, although this time you'd only be unlocking the challenger(s), should still be CSC only. This is only if staff reverses their decision about re-releasing them (and I wish they would).
I like the thought of a chance wheel! NEW CARNIVAL GAME!!! There'd be one additional space that would be nice to see added to the list of options, though - an sP space. Yes the whole point is an sP sink, but it'd be nice if there was a space that allowed you to win anything from 1sP to the very rare grand prize of...oh I don't know what. A jackpot amount of some sort. It would be a VERY rare occurrence site-wide (not based on each time a user plays). Twice a day would be nice for everyone.

Maybe lotteries for other types of items besides potions? There could be say, ten of whatever the items are (wearables, stickers, plushies, etc.) to choose from, and people could buy tickets just like the potion lottery. It would be a fun way to release some of those rare/retired/CS items people have been talking about without significantly diminishing the value, and gambling is always an easy sink.
I'm not really understanding why more stuff can't 've put into the MC? There really isn't all that much really. It is probably one of the most effective sp sinks currently on the site and putting more stuff there is beneficial. I've already bought everything I'm interested in, which was about everything. Putting more stuff in there harms no one and if it's god weapons or new high powered weapons for 2 bil or whatever it would get rid of a huge chunk of sp on one go. Win win.

Give us a place to buy old trivia prizes, perhaps ? They were practically free items, and some are damn near (or are) unbuyable.
I really liked the idea someone mentioned for a Flea Market.
That'd be a really great use for the now vacant Peka Park, where there could be various tables and tents set up all over the place (the image wouldn't even have to change for each event, just a vacant park area/full park area while it's going on). It could be once a month, or every other week-- I'd say every weekend, but that'd probably get old fast and less fun to look forward to.
Each time the Flea Market is going on it could be themed:
There's probably a dozen+ more themes that could work for this too but I ran out of steam! AND THIS IS JUST MOSTLY PLAYING OFF OLD RETIRED THINGS. So much more could be done + it'll be a fun thing to look forward to/users to log on for, and if we always know it'll be on like (example) the first weekend of the month then even if someone's bored during the summer or whatever they'll know something will always happen on that weekend.
And and, for when holidays fall on/around the flea market days (ex: like new years, or pandemic) then whatever is taking place there could be related to it. Y'know, building history and tying everyone together instead of kinda how it feels now-- where 35% of the NPCs seem to be aware an event is going on, and the rest of them are like DO MY QUESTS, WHERE'S MY BRACELET, Hey kid wanna buy a box for 10k?, etc etc.
I suppose not LOL! To be fair, I WAS typing things out when I should've been sleeping! Go figure why I wouldn't be thinking 100% clearly! XDDD I wouldn't mind seeing some more obtainable weapons in there, though, too. Seeing as I'm TRYING (and failing very miserably I must admit!) to get myself into a more battling mindset, I'm having an immensely difficult time trying to find good weapons for my two highest tiers in an area I can personally afford. It'd be super to be able to have excellent weapons in the MC for a wide variety of prices and tiers so that it can encourage more people to try their hands at battling. Weapons that I'm finding for my two highest tiers are either extremely expensive (which, I understand will happen when you get up there), or, when I find some that are better affordable, they aren't good at all.
I would still love to see new Genetech combos come out, though, with both old and hopefully new weapons alike so that lower (or lowest) tier weapons can be combined to create more and more powerful ones (even taking the newly created Genetech weapons and combining them again with other regular weapons from the MC to form even higher tiered and more powerful weapons.
I'm referring to MC weapons alone here. A whole range of weapons, prices and Tiers in there would be simply excellent.

I keep seeing people ask for Zombie Skins and to be able to get into Skitters without a skin. I, personally, do not want to see either of these.
I'm sorry for users that missed out on a permanent zombie strain and I'm sorry for those of you that cured, but don't make those of us that stuck with our skins for years feel like we did it for absolutely nothing!
If you want something from the older years of the Zombie Den, it's not that hard to ask someone politely if they would buy you some items. I've had to do this in the past for one of my pets tc's. The Zombie Den and Zombie Skins are special and should be kept as such.

BUT I really don't think that adding a few items for sP to an event would Ruin The Fun? It would allow people who don't have time to do the whole plot or do a whole lot of dancing/ToTing/etc to get their hands on at least a few items, and it would be an actual sink rather than just moving money around. You can get a lot of holiday stuff for sP, I'm not arguing that point, but it's not a sink if it's just going to other users instead of out of the economy. And stuff from plots that you can't earn currency for anymore (Omen Islands, EPICon) is usually stupid expensive or unavailable, so I don't think letting us buy some points cards from somewhere or making the items available for a limited time is a bad idea. I'm not saying "throw it into Main Shops for 2k sP!", I'm saying "toss it in the MC for a couple mil each for a couple weeks and let us have a crack at stuff we couldn't get otherwise".
I think it might be a good idea for a holiday, maybe in the summer when there isn't a standardised event? Sort of like Alegarten, where the events boil down to "dress your HA like a drunken German" and "buy things". Same idea, but with a different theme (beach? EPICon-style cosplay? your best Bohemian flea-market-goer?) and the items are even more expensive and already exist. Bam - money out of the economy, the staff doesn't have to come up with something for us to do, people who only joined in the last couple years (or missed an event/plot) can have a chance to get items! EVERYBODY WINS, except for old-timers who want to complain about their fancy items decreasing in rarity, but who cares. (And no, I'm not suggesting that every single item from a past event go up -- just a selection from select events. [coughcollectiblesandwearablescough])
Yes, incentivizing referrals is a good idea. However, a lot of people on this site (me) use it because we're disabled or ill or don't really have time to go out and socialize somewhere else (online or offline). We don't have anyone to refer! The prize should be something that already exists on the site, like a crapload of holiday currency or a Cash Shop giftcard (inb4 "the site needs actual money") or short-term access to a perk. (I can't think of something that would make a good prize, lmao.)
And like Andrea pointed out, it's a really bizarre thing to do to put collectible items in a place like the Referral Shop. I would actually like to be able to complete a collection, and putting collectibles in places like the RS or the CS or BHH basically means that I can't, so I don't strive towards acquiring those items as much as I could -- and if I knew I was able to finish off my beanbag collection I would pay a LOT of sP for those last few. But since I still need several hundred and some are literally completely unavailable, there's no point in me investing in the expensive ones I can get, so I don't. Want me to spend sP? Make the things I want available.
I think it might be nice if we could sort of "rent" old skins we cannot obtain for a short time at the wardrobe. Lets say for a week or so by paying really a great deal for them.
This would definitely eat up sP and I believe lots of people would really like to have the option of having those skins even if it is not permanent.
Maybe it could also be possible to make skitters recognize if it is a rented skin or a permanent one so the main benefit people have who kept uncured for eternity won't be taken away.
Aaand people who unlocked those skins would of course have them all the time for free and still be special.
As far as zombie skins go, I don't even care if they'd get me into the Den or not. Personally, I'd want a strain skin because I like them and because I wasn't a user at the time the infections were actually going on. I know a lot of users are in the same boat, having never had even the chance to be a zombie except for the temp strains last Survival.
So maybe make the skins available to people who weren't originally infected, but make it so it won't allow access to the Den because they're not a 'proper' zombie? So nobody who put up with being a zombie for ages feels shafted. Would that be an okay compromise? And maybe you can only get one of the zombie skins that way and not all of them, kind of like how actual infected users had to pick the strain they liked and stick with it.
I kind of like this.
IE 1 referral point can be redeemed for X wiz tokens, X prize shop points. Or maybe a few spins at the old DP vending machine.
also, how the hell is some people get sooo many referrals. the "Google" or "myself" or a few under 100 i understand. But 500, 700? im just amazed.
I feel the same about the referrals. I don't talk to many people. Those I do talk to are people I met here. I got one referral, and that was from a friend of mine who took pity on me when I begged her to try the site out cus I needed someone to talk to about it irl.
The referral shop isn't changing, I know that it sucks that you "can't get those items" but that is how incentivizing people to refer works. If we made it things you could get otherwise, no one would care and it wouldn't be as much of a big deal to refer people. We need new users == we are going to give cool things to do it.
We're working on some changes to the system to include weekends where doing things like making a blog post and submitting it about Subeta or your favorite NPC or whatever will earn you some points, as well as things like making a vine about Subeta, etc. Basically, we need eyeballs and "mind share" on Subeta and we're willing to give you points for it even if it doesn't result in a direct referral.
But there are the few items that will not be moved to a different shop or given out in another way, sorry. Obviously you're welcome to keep discussing it and making your dissatisfaction known but it's not going to change.

I know it has nothing to do with a SP sink, and is more about the referral shop, but what if we added one referral point as a prize to people entering creative contests, like the pumpkin or ornament one. I feel like it enters in "mind share", especially when they're posted elsewhere.
Yeah, we're considering that too :)! I know that it sucks that those items aren't readily available for you to purchase from other users and we're working out ways to increase the flow but we aren't going to offer those points for sP (or csc, or any other currency).
