How about we don't give a name to our shop, instead it is auto-named after it's owner, like MarchOnOffshop1, MarchOnOffshop2, etc, MarchOnOffGallery1, etc.
I'm changing my username to MyVagina is this is implemented.
ROGER THAT
I've got a better idea. How about we just be mature about it and fucking ignore the shop names we don't like/report them if they're actually offensive/inappropriate, yes?
I know I'm expecting a lot here
i was under the impression that this was not an issue? and no, please dont autogenerate shop names.
What's next? AndrewRebornKumosPet1, AndrewNightmareMontrePet2?
I think that users who are that offended by words shoukd look into help for their own issues rather than expecting a site to cater to them.
Are you serious? I see the shop names for like a split second when I buy something and then I'm gone.
Why would this even be needed? "Offensive" names that you see for like 3 seconds? Yeah no. I like the name of my shop and the little bit of individualism that comes with it.

My shop used to be named Burping Nipple Penis, and you'd be surprised how many compliments I got.
Why would we want our creativity stifled? This suggestion baffles me.
I'm really sorry for people who've come across names and things in general that have offended them, but I think reporting and letting staff handle the matter is a better decision than this suggestion to autogenerate names. I mean not even Neopets is that censored. I can't support this suggestion because if something so insignificant is suddenly censored, something bigger will be censored next, and I'm not really into that.
[edit]
I do understand what says in a post somewhere beneath mine, though, and I agree with 's suggestion of filtering. I feel like a filter would be the best solution, without having to go to staff every time a shop is named a word that offends someone.
I'll be honest, I don't really like some of these shop names, either. I don't like having a tab labeled "My Vagina" that someone might walk by and see. It's not a matter of being immature like everyone's saying. I consider that to be nsfw, and don't feel super comfortable with it for that reason.
That said, generated shop names is not the way to handle it.
If I had control over it, I'd make a rule that potentially nsfw words and phrases could not be used for usernames, shop names, pet names, and thread titles. Basically any big public areas. But I know I'm in the minority and there would be an uproar, so whatever.

No. People's creativity shouldn't be stopped because people are offended.
You would think after last weeks news that freedom of speech and right to be creative are sacred that this kind of topic wouldn't show up, boy I was wrong.
Subeta doesn't revolve around 1 person, or even 3 people. So I don't know what even goes through someone their mind to go demand to ban creativity in favour of those 3 people who are offended by the word "vagina" "sex" & "penis" (which are usually the 3 shop titles named as offensive). I personally get that you can be offended, shocked, upset about things. So am I, but I chose to get help for my problems instead of demanding an entire site to ban the things that upset me and sicken me.
These topics always go the same way, yet they keep coming up. This once is a fresh change, the OP doesn't specifically mention being offended but considering their history with this subject...
Anyway they usually go like this:
Additional remark: What if your username is . Then the shop is SexyShop1 SexyGallery1 Then where do you draw the line? Because it probably does not fix the problem you have with shop names. Because the shopname is still offensive for some people. Start banning certain usernames? Then what direction do you go? Censor all the things?
(Sorry for using you as an example, your username is just perfect to prove my point)

fartedsohard, fartedinpublic
Nice.
Like I said, we should have a name filter for shop. Enabling is a choice, that's it.
If there are things about any websites that are embarrassing and you don't want people to see, then it's probably best to avoid surfing in places where you may be concerned about. Eventually, somebody will surprise you and see it over your shoulder. That includes the forums where a lot of sillier stuff pops up from time to time. Otherwise, it is going to result as the Streisand effect.
For all the browser add ons and extensions that have previously been mentioned to solve this, I'm surprised there's still an issue.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I think the inappropriate shop names are goddamn hilarious. Especially "My Vagina".
The thing is, it isn't Subeta's job to create a 100% SFW environment. They state plainly that their website is PG-13, and the words that have come up in this thread are not offensive, just anatomic. I understand that some folks don't want to see that -- or are worried about others seeing it -- and I do sympathize, because I'm the same way with Tumblr XD But I make it [i]my[/b] job to do the censoring. I have XKit, with a healthy list of buzzwords that trigger a post to collapse. I've thought about putting a Chrome extension in that replaces certain words -- they're easy extensions to find, after all -- but with the precautions I take, it hasn't been an issue yet.
I think it's fair for you to ask that there not be anything above PG-13, but to ask to censor anatomy, even when used to intentionally provoke... that just doesn't feel right. It makes it seem like our anatomy is shameful, and I know most folks (myself included, frankly) are just trolling and taking the piss, but I feel like it's unintentionally a bigger issue. XD
I know it doesn't mean much, but I really would look into an extension for your browser. I feel safe browsing Tumblr at my in-laws' house because of XKit. XD
- I've never heard of Xkit. Thanks, I'll look into it. :)

Apparently, I haven't visited the forum in a long time because I have never seen anyone bring up "offensive" (and personally, I think you are using a completely incorrect word for this "issue") shop names. I've popped in for a few minutes and I've already seen two, and I am BAFFLED. Firstly, I saw that the vagina shop has been around for many years, I only recall seeing it recently, and I've been here many years, so clearly, I don't pay a great deal of attention to these things to begin with. I generally just roll my eyes and smirk to myself when I buy from it if I'm at work while playing. Admittedly, I shouldn't be playing at work, but I play on my lunch hour and I can pretty much guarantee, there's worse on Facebook, of which everyone accesses at work.
Censoring is bad. If someone was being overtly racist or sexist, by all means, be offended and take it to the staff, but, and as someone has posted above, after the events of last week, you'd think people would gain some perspective on the matter and realize anatomical words are not offensive, or whatever it is you have in mind, seeing as no one is sharing exactly what the offense is. If you feel that uncomfortable with body parts, especially reproductive ones, you have deeper issues than shop names, I promise. I have personally never seen a shop name or a username that made me think, "what an asshole." I might have thought, "what an idiot." But I'm not about to sit here and stop someone from releasing minor, very minor, creative juices into a shop name. I like the name of my shop, inside joke that it is, I don't want my username as my shop name, I want it as my username, hence why it is my username and not my shop name.
If you don't like it, sort it out yourself with browser add ons or what have you. Censoring everyone because YOU are personally offended (again, I think this is the wrong word) is, excuse me, bullshit. Gain some perspective.
