Yes, I know there are slow points at work, and everyone hates the slow points but if your supervisor came out and caught you on a pet site, wouldn't you risk losing your job?

If you find Subeta is more important than keeping your employment then you should seriously re-think your priorities.

As for the idea that was posted about, no. I don't think it's a good idea. I think censoring people is a step closer to what Neopets became and Subeta isn't Neopets. Subeta is a place where you can express yourself without fear, or it used to be. Recently not so much but I see things getting better slowly.

You have a choice of what you're offended by and what you shake your head and and let go. Taking it upon yourself to crush someone else, even if its something as simple as a shop name, is pretty harsh. If you wouldn't want someone to do it to you, then don't do it to someone else.

Agree to disagree is the best way to go about this. If you guys want an option to block certain names, get an extension. This has been mentioned numerous times and yet no one seems to take the action. They'd rather harass and hound the situation to death, bring it back, and do it again.

I'm sure some people are offended by my shop name cause it's named "Nicotine." It's not named after the chemical; it's actually a song title. lol

While I do think shop names like "My Vagina" are ridiculous and immature, they don't offend me. I just avoid the shops if I notice them while questing/buying. I don't see the need for censoring them.

And with that, can we please stop having shop name suggestions? There are a million things we could do with shops that would be useful, like being able to move items from one shop to another without the inventory.

not really sure why the existance of one or two shop names you personally don't like should lead to forcing the rest of the userbase to give up the ability to name their own shops? i mean yeah, i see shop names that i think are immature, childish, or just plain embarrassing from time to time, but it's honestly not worth much more than an eyeroll and a few seconds of judgement passed.

if a shop name is breaking the rules, report it. if it falls within site rules and you just flat out don't like what you see, well i hate to be that guy, but have you ever thought of dealing with the problem yourself?

Some shop names DO make me flinch a bit (I tend to be like that) but I've still been able to ignore them and honestly it's no big deal and even if I do react a bit I don't think they should be removed or renamed.

I, like most who have posted, also really dislike the idea. Mainly because of the gallery autonaming would really mess me up when putting huge amounts of items into them. For example, if my two galleries were renamed 'SaxonGallery1' and 'SaxonGallery2' I would constantly be forgetting which is which and having to check each time, or misplacing which items go in which and having it take twice as long as it normally would. I tend to save and buy my gallery items in bulk and having my main gallery named 'Saxon's Kitties' makes it easy for me to quickly see that any cat minions go in that one, everything else in the other.

I also like my shop being named 'The Valiant' because yay, references! x3

This is the worst idea I've ever heard. No lie. For all the reasons that everyone else has said, why in the actual hell would you strip us from the freedom to name our own shop and gallery just because you're a baby about what one person has named their shop? There's a website called Neopets, I think you may like it!

This is on par with forcing us to choose from pre-generated usernames and pet names. Absolutely unacceptable.
