I only got to look at it very briefly before I had to run to work and from the 5 mins I messed with it I wasn't a fan. I have forum pulse turned off because I don't want to see all the new posts made right this minute, I just don't care. Having that be the main focus of the home page just seems very odd to me. When I did turn on forum pulse the topics updated really fast and it was hard to keep track of. Plus I had no clue what half of them even went to since it was just a topic title.
I don't like the different forums being links on the side, doesn't look very attractive and there was just to much overall gray on the page for me.
It seems to be gone for now and I'm grateful for sure.

I completely agree with what has said. I also don't use forum pulse and I like to be able to see all of the forums with their recent topics.
I have approximately five thousand years worth of blank space on my screen. I would be a lot more inclined to like this if I didn't have a teeeeeeeny tint column on one side, and then 3/4ths of nothing. And I only have the subeta window taking up about half of my computer screen - I dont even want to see what it looks like full screen.
Also resizing the window causes the little info bubbles to overlap the forum column list, which always stinks of poor planning to me on sites where that happens.
I don't really have an opinion on the function, because visually, the entire page is aggressively unfriendly and I just don't.... want to look at or deal with something that is so unpleasant to me before I've even touched it.
I actually like it so far because I only read a tiny handful of forum categories anyways.
BUT... I did have to uncheck like 10000 tiny boxes to trim down the pulse because they were all checked and there was no "uncheck all" button. The forums pulse in general would be more useful if we could turn on/off entire categories at once or something, so people could make quick changes as their forums priorities shift.
e: It would also be great to see which forum section each pulse post is coming from. Threads with vague titles are a complete mystery if you don't know which forum section they're in. Is a thread called "Sun Kumos" an adoption thread, a feedback thread, a suggestion thread, a pet brag thread, an art thread? I've already clicked a lot of uninteresting threads because I thought they were something else.
-If we can have an option to disable the shit out of this ..
I love the forum pulse. But really hated the way this page displayed. I don't see a problem with the little box we used to have, and I really liked the option to open up a larger, separate, forum pulse page.
The way the page was set up made it very hard to quickly scan the page to find what you were looking for. It was boring. It was unfriendly. It didn't work well for people with different screen sizes or resolutions.
