I'm okay! :D
I really hate this new shop limit they're implementing. Plus, they're retiring the achievements... D:
I agree. It's a terrible idea. Well actually, shop limits aren't a terrible idea - if they were reasonable. But 250 items isn't reasonable! That's an average day's worth of items for most people who do quests :/
I imagine they're going to have to make some changes if they don't want to alienate their entire user base, because it's just beyond stupid.

I think they should make it 1000 or more. Yeah, 250 is a ridiculously small amount. Why can't they just get better servers? Things would run faster, and we'd all be happy.
It is! They're definitely going to lose a lot of users if they go with this plan. -fingers crossed- here's to hoping they don't!
I think the general consensus is that everyone is kind of upset about it!
That's all I've been doing since the news came out D:
I'm pretty sure better servers wouldn't fix everything. Apparently the code isn't working well or something. But yeah, the limits and timing is ridiculous.
I can get behind 2500 unique items in a shop, any less than that and I don't see the point of using autopricer regularly.
I know right. I mean for the battle revamp, only the hardcore battlers were really affected. But this affects ALL of subeta's players negatively. If you don't have more than 250 items in your shop, you're not subetaing right XD
Agreed, I'm actually not against shop limits. But a day's worth of questing is just a ridiculous number. I get not wanting to have monster shops that slow the site, but 250 is just not feasible for even the most casual player. I just don't have any concept of how this particular number was reached. If they said anything over 1000 (non-GA with a significant boost for GA), I'd say, sure, it's annoying, but mostly livable. I can cope.
And we're fairly new users who have several thousand items in our clogged up shops/galleries. I can only imagine how players who've been around for a decade feel.
I'm also okay with new shops and (grudgingly) having to transfer all my items, though it'll be a pain in the ass, if it helps the site move faster. It's really comes down to the minuscule limit.

haha and my GA expires in 3 days too what fun
I HATE it. I don't mind math at all but my brain does not work for this type of math haha
I'm wondering how this will affect the price of items... But apparently it is supposed to make the site run faster?
I see we've all seen the news post and all agree it's terrible. I've kept quiet so far because I can't say anything nice and I'm rather infuriated. Also I'm an up in arms kind of girl who will start making petitions, formal letters of complaint, and etc.
-sigh- But the more I sit back and watch the flames burn things, the more I feel angry. My Minion Gallery has about 1700 minions in it. And I refuse to put them into anything I can't take them back out of. But what do I do with them now? Shove them in a vault?
Not to mention I consider myself a completionist. I like to collect anything I can collect reasonably. For me, that was books, Minions, beanbags, plushies, wearables, and the other things that could go straight in a collection. This means my shop saw every toy, trinket, useless bauble, and whatever I'd already collected.
Top that off with I liked to space out my GA accounts since I'm not made of money, I'd let things pile up til I felt my money dwindling and had roughly a 1000 unique items in my shop, then activate GA. I don't vend ever, and I rarely quest, and even then the thing was filling up faster than I wanted to pay for GA.
I don't trust the, "We might raise the limits someday." line. They haven't made much headway in giving us a reason to trust them. And what do people do between those raised limits? The economy goes haywire but it's ok, we'll fix that later too? Oh, Btw, less than a month to prep for this news!
Like are they punishing the hoarders they set up the existence of?
I also am hugely against Retired achievements. I don't think it's right to retire things in general as it becomes this thing newbies walk in and literally can never obtain, and older users who didn't achieve it look back and sigh on. If I had ever thought things like this would happen, I might have started on Hoarders awhile ago. But instead we get less than a month of prep-time and I'm not scrambling to do a damn thing with that.
Moving items on the site is a pain without trying to scramble for a 45000 unique item achievement.
There's so many things wrong with this entire setup. And I've tried not to feel like I should jump on the "Hate the System" bandwagon. But they're leaving me little faith and a lot of frustration. The entire Subetan administration team looks like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off squawking in different languages at each other and fanning their wings and pecking their userbase. .-.
Right that's my biggest concern too. When you can only put 250 items in your shop, most people will probably only be stocking things over 100k to conserve space for profitable things! What about all the other items needed for quests?!
I understand and agree with everything you've said. Though I'm not a collector myself, I completely agree with everyone who is upset about having to split up their galleries. Galleries are NOT shops and shouldn't be held to the same standards.

I think a ton of people are upset.. and I'm wondering if that will change their decision at all.
Anyhow.. how's all of you?!
I really hope it does. The idea of upgrading shops isn't bad, it's just the incredibly low limits. Increase them a bit, and think a lot of people would actually be happy!
All this mess aside, I'm doing quite well! I have lead on a new job I'm really excited about!

and I'd like to add the severe lack of response from the Admins. My guestimate is they're in the office crying, hugging their knees, and rocking back and forth while chanting, "Keith, halp. Keith Save us."
Atleast they should be :P
The sad part is that long winded rant wasn't even the full extent of all I've had to say. Bah!
I actually commented on the news post myself. And I'm not usually the type of person who whines about changes to staff. Usually I save it for my friends in treechat haha ;)
I just don't GET IT. ONE DAY of questing, people. Like, even an earthworm knows that's a bad, bad idea, and it doesn't have a brain.

You're not the only one with a long winded rant about it xP
Oooh new job lead! Tell me more!
It's a recruiting company right in the heart of downtown, next to the eaton's centre. I did an interview and it seemed like a really awesome place, and all the people I met were really nice. It would mean going from an agency with many client to working for just one company, but I'm kind of excited about that, because there's less fracturing of my attention among 20 clients. I can actually focus, you know?
Plus it would be a huge salary increase, too. They basically said they'd be making an offer, they're just completing all the back checks, reference checks, etc. It's been a day though, so I'm getting a bit nervous.

I'm severely considering it. Maybe a summary. Maybe a link to a google doc pointing out the most influential statements. Maybe gather some statistics. Link to some petitions. Collect the number of idle threats easily coo'ed in a bout a week when they announce they'll raise the starting limit. Because you know, 80% of the userbase will chill out with a small raise. We don't even aspire to more than that out of the Admins lately. Which is sad. The users don't even expect to be heard beyond meager soothing attempts you'd use on a 5 year old.
"Aww, Okay Okay honey.. I know I yelled at you earlier when I shouldn't have but I'll buy you an ice cream cone!"
"Gee thanks mom, That'll soothe the burn you left on my emotions." We won't even bother to ask for some actual Neosporin to prevent scarring or ease the actual burn.
Also why do I keep seeing poor Grelca's name come up for every bad piece of coding Imaginable? Do we really only have like one programmer for a literal business based off a WEBSITE? Does she sleep under her desk hugging her mouse while programming in her sleep?
I bet you hear something today! That sounds like an awesome opportunity!! C:
AAAAAAAAAND the site is laggy. I'm gunna go play Wii for a bit and check back later to see if it's sped up.
EDIT: Seems to have fixed itself.. I'm sticking around ;)
Yuuup the site was lagging for me too. Hopefully it stays fixed.
I'm really excited! i just want to know for sure, so I can hand in my resignation and start moving on. I'm just ready to do something new.

Crossing my fingers for you!
Hey! The Walk Like a Saheric achievement started working for me all of a sudden!
I'm hopeful, but we'll see. I'm trying to get my hopes up until the papers are signed!
Yup, it's been working for awhile - a few months, I think. Funny you bring it up, because I just started working on it last week. I added it to my dailies - just the last tier to go now!
