Working with kids is tons of fun - I used to be a kindergarten volunteer as well as an afterschool program volunteer. There's nothing quite like kids to cheer up your day. Though I can see why you'd find working with them a bit overwhelming. There are definitely a lot of high highs and low lows.
Avoiding people doesn't make you a terrible person btw ;) Sometimes certain people need to be avoided so things can cool down.
Let it roll off your back? Clearly it was nothing you did - but this weird guy pinching all his pennies. You did your job and nothing wrong.
How long until you're moving? At least that gives you something to look forward to?
If you're talking about subeta goals, have you joined the spring sP sprint?

I did the same working with kids :P It was fun and challenging. ^-^ I'm actually thinking of switching my major to something for teaching but I reckon I should work with teaching kids again before making a decision like that :P
Gah I always feel terrible for avoiding folks. It's just an internal storm I need to wait until it fades. U-U;; They're really kind folks. So! You're taking a proper lazy day right? You certainly deserve it after that week at work hugs
They/ThemYeah, working with kids is something you have to be sure about. I mean, I like working with them on a part-time basis, but I'm not sure I could do it as a full-time job. I have friends who are teachers (most of my friends are actually - that's where 70% of people who major in humanities end up, haha) and based on their day-in-the-life stories, it's tough. Rewarding though. And definitely every day would be an adventure, you'd never be bored.
I'm an avoider too. I don't really like confrontation - but who does, really?
100% lazy. I'm actually guiltypleasure watching Fuller House. Such a cheesy 90s throwback to my childhood - it was my favourite show growing up. I'd come home from school and watch it and Family Matters. Oh how TV has changed - this show seems so retro and sitcom cheesy. But it's kind of nice - zero thinking involved.

Not sure yet. I've got a lot to do while I'm at home with the Blade and Soul contest going but when I'm at work I'm a bit limited. I've been wanting to RP or write but I'm not super confident with my writing anymore.
Something I can really delve into. I looked at that but I'm usually on here when I'm at work and if I try to Quest(Which is my main money maker) I start to fall asleep. Questing just bores me so bad >.< I never get finished because I'm falling asleep. What other ways make decent money?
Hahah yeah that was my impression of teaching as well XD We'll see how it turns out ^-^ BWahahahah yeah my friend is watching that too. I heard the theme song from the original Full House coming from the living room one night. I COULDN'T THINK OF WHAT TV SHOW IT WAS FROM. It drove me crazy until she finally confessed what it was XDD Glad it's a nice show.
I'm honestly not too confident in my writing either most days. I write anyway when I feel like it. It's something that has helped me tons. ^-^ Even if no-one ever sees it, it is something that can give me peace of some sort. I almost want to try and find a group that has a prompt every day or every week with a word or subject. Then write about it. >-< There have to be groups like that right? o-o I wanted to get into an RP but I think I did something wrong so I'm backing away slowly ^-^;;
They/ThemActually, Reddit has these! I participate in them here and there but when I went looking for some critique on my writing I felt like I got so much negative criticism that my confidence was shot and I was just like, "Nope, I don't have what it takes." and walked away.
I'd be down to create that kind of thing here but I'd want to encourage a more fair and proper critique process. Critiquing is not about finding all the bad, but rather expressing the strengths and weaknesses with advice on how to fix or continue strengthening them.
Ouch yeah I wouldn't dare to go on Reddit for feedback D: I mean I like critiques but I tend to agree with you on what a critique means XDD Maybe they already have something like that here. I should probably check that out XDD
They/ThemI took a quick glance but I'm not seeing anything of the sort so far. The Writing Contest section has things on the first page that are from 2009 even. The main Writing Discussion thread has stuff from Aug. 2015 at the end of the page, and a fair ways up it. So I mean, even if there was something before nothing that seems relevant now.
I use quests as my main source of income too. I'm not much of a restocker, but I think that's the other main way to make sP. There's also games, but that tends to be less lucrative.
If you decide it's for you, I'm sure you'll make a great career of it :) There's good and bad with pretty much any profession, so trying to find something that fits best for you is the challenge.
Haha, yeah, it's pretty much the kind of thing you guilt watch and then only admit it you get caught blush But it was renewed for a second season, so I guess someone is watching it. Though... I loved the theme song when I was a kid, and I still think it's pretty catchy ;)

I'm tempted to start a thread 0-0 BUT I'm afraid I'd neglect it >-< What about you? Would you want to start something like that?
I'll figure it out! Hehehe lots of people are watching it. It's ok to luff the cheesy XDD Plus yes the theme song is totally catchy 0-0
They/ThemI was actually considering starting one myself, I really like setting things up like that but I hadn't identified what I wanted to start yet.
I was thinking about how I would set it up and figured that I could get some simple graphics made in a theme for it.
So The way I was thinking of it working would be like, Each week a thread is posted, in that thread Each day we post a prompt, The main thread would update daily, and then there would be a graphic you post at the start of your thread that says, "Monday Submission!" for example to mark each person submitting a post and separate out comments and praise and such. We would also have a graphic that marks the end of submissions, and a link on the front page that takes you to that post end for a day so people could keep up with current submissions.
I really like the idea 0-0 I will say that since many folks are so busy maybe it'd be good to keep it to weekly prompts? Daily may become overwhelming both for the folks writing and for you to come up with them? Just my thoughts. So! How can I help out?
They/ThemI had considered only making it Weekly, but I was worried it would be too slow. Basically, We'd need a name, forum group tag, and I need to write up a basic format to post each week as well as come up with a prompt. We could make a small contest out of taking user Submitted prompts and if yours is selected a small prize would be sent each week o.o
I also would like to get some kind of graphic to make it a bit fancier. Maybe like a Bar to split up sections of the first post. I have no idea where to get that. So I need your brainpower! Any suggestions or help you can offer or if there's anything you can think of doing. I'm going to start typing up a rough draft of the post.
Hey guys. I've been spacey lately. My concentration is poop ;-; How is everyone?
For the writing prompt board I like the direction you're going with that rough draft! I had some headers I found back in the day (I can't remember where I found them but they're lovely) that might work for section dividers? HERE Buttons however are a bit beyond my skills atm. D: Hmmm.... maybe would be interested in making buttons? 0-0 She does such pretty work. (Would you be interested in that dear?) And actually now that I'm thinking about asking others it's that has a great eye for detail in thread-making. (Would you be willing to advise luff?) DON'T FEEL OBLIGATED LOVELY PEOPLE just thought it was worth asking you two :P
You and me both babe. My brain feels rather like mush. D: I thought it'd go away when I woke up properly. Um the sun is setting and it hasn't happened yet U-U How have you been? Did you celebrate the internship properly?
Hi there sweet person! MY BRAIN IS MUSH D: Beyond that I'm ok for the most part ^-^ I'm trying to inspire myself to draw properly. How do you keep up motivation for that lovely art of yours?
They/Themyaasss
just working. Always working.
ooo what are you working on? I'm going to be drawing all day today!! WOO!
Oh buttons! I like making buttons :D What kind of buttons, ? o:
Well, it's for this Prompt-A-Week idea. So maybe something that has casual "hand-written" looking text to it. I prefer rounded corners, and I really think Purple would be a nice flair(Albeit, I'm biased, I love Purple. XD) I'm also still trying to get a name down for it.
This is my Mock-Up of it so far. Things in Purple between ( ) are things I would need to get art made for. The only one that I think would need to be big would be the Name itself. Everything else I kind of thought of banners that act a bit as page dividers and spacing as well. The "Lookie! | Critiques, Please"/"Lookie! | No Critiques, Please!" Would run along each persons submission at the top of their post to separate them from critiques, etc. And the Forum Signature Banner I wouldn't wan't to be too obtrusive. Those are still allowed aren't they? I spose I rarely see them anymore.. My Mock Example so far!
Edit: Maybe some of you have ideas you could add? I have no idea what to call this thing, but I'd like it to be something catchy :P
