We were going to go to pump this morning, but that huge snowstorm hit last night and I didn't want to dig my car out this morning.. it's STILL snowing.

That's something at least - helps make the holiday a bit more special.

Ugh, yeah, I can imagine that wouldn't be fun. We just got a tiny dusting (an inch or two) - more than was forecasted, but not too bad. The real issue is it rained all morning, so it's slippery as hell out.

I can't believe this storm passed you. We got like half a foot of snow over night and will have at least a foot by the end of the day... maybe 2.

forgot to answer you question re: soap making. So basically ya warm up liquid fats (vegetable or animal - like milkfat) and mix it with lye (which has been dissolved in water). You do some blending, you add other items you might want (smells, additives like lavender buds or oatmeal etc, and other things that make your soap pretty), lots of mixing, then pouring into molds, then setting for a few days, then unmolding and cutting and then curing. :) I love doing it. I love having a new batch ready and to see people's faces when they try it and instantly fall in love.

I wrapped a few bars up and left them for our receptionist at work. I had forgotten to put a card on them. She actually took a bite of one because she said it looked like a beautiful brownie. LOL I couldn't stop laughing.

Wow, yeah, that's a big difference. We rarely get big snowstorms like that until January in the city. It's not snowing anymore here, so I doubt it will get any worse. And commutes are still really messed up :/

Did I ask about soap? I totally forgot haha. But that actually sounds like a lot of fun! I remember when I had those make your own lipgloss/perfume or whatever kits as a kid - they were so much fun to mess around with and try combos. This sounds like an adult version of that.
