Ah but my area of the globe is currently in a drought so rain is like YAY! Perle hmm she sounds like fun XDD I'll give her a shot. I'll let you know when questions come up/ when I have a concept sketch :D
Thank you so so so much for the honest feedback on the prices 0-0 I was flailing XDD Ok. Whelp I think what I probably should do is do the sale prices, say it's a sale, and base the normal prices off of how much interest people have in my art? o-o I'm definitely willing to put my prices down a little. The rates are partially based on the fact that I just partially drained my vault through a shopping spree, and continue to do so with trying to zap an experiment ONE DAY Filbert will be that experiment XDD
They/ThemAh yeah that does help. You're not in california are you? I heard there were giant fires and cities being evacuated and everything :o
Oh, and in case you didn't know perle is pearl in French ^^ Awesome. Thanks luff :*
Ah yeah; It's so hard to know what to do :o I'm sure it'll become easier after a while! That sounds like a good idea ^^ You may get more interest during events and stuff as well :o
Oooo, shopping spree, I like those XD Aw, good luck getting that zap :o I'm zapping anomalie, but I've given it a rest atm because I'm not making much sp XD
Man, I didn't know that the news of our fires have spread that far 0-0;; Yup, I'm thankfully in the south so no evacuations for me (YAY!) But it's pretty bad up north. >-<
I figured that was what Perle means (I think it's prettier the French way honestly :D) Well we'll find out how the sp shop goes when I get closer to finishing the freebie thread ^-^
Yessss the shopping spree was fabulous and so so useful =u= I am now very close to having my seasonal outfits. Just a little more XDD Thanks for the luck on the zap, what experiment were you trying to zap for? O_O
They/ThemIck, headaches don't sound good. It's a wonder you can get anything done. What are you coding? I'm terrible at coming up with suggestions for people to draw, haha, I'm glad your found a savior.
I have no idea what the going price is for art :/ Maybe post some samples in the art forums and see what they suggest pricing? Or just throw a price out there and see how it goes? I'm sure people will buy if it's reasonable :)
True. Almost everything I use is in drawers, so I can just take out everything else.
All the quests seem to go through phases :( I haven't done Quentin in months, because I was getting junk for so long, I just gave up :P At least Shinwas stuff can be worth millions and you get items from other quests while doing them :)
[center]
Yeah, news spreads quick aha. Oh good, I'm glad you guys aren't having that sort of trouble. It's pretty worrying though :o
Oh have you got some requests pending on that thread still?
You're doing seasonal outfits? That's cool :D I tend to forget what outfits I've used before and just make new ones though XD
I'm not sure which I like best yet, but I really like Chibi Experiment and Chibi Experiment so either of those would do I suppose.
That's a good way of looking at it :o But then there are items you barely ever use, but that are perfect for that one HA when you need it XD
Yeah, that's why I got back to doing shinwa. Quentin has been quite good to me lately, you should give him another go! And carl was ace today too.
Meh the headache is doing better (thank you acupuncture+medication ^-^) I'm coding two (well I'm doing 3-4) webpages that are linked. One needs to be an index (home page) another needs to be a resume (or a fake resume) It's just to show we can code basic HTML. I'm just adding a traditional art gallery and a digital art gallery. I can't figure out why the digital was not doing inline display though D: I took it down for the meantime. I'm babbling sorry. >-< I'm going to do sale prices to basically advertise the new thread and then based on how much interest that generates up the prices a little. We'll see how it goes o-o;;
New thread to get back into the habit ^-^ Hehe I'm as guilty as you are of just making new outfits as whim inspires me as well :D
They/ThemHeh, if I don't have them, I won't know that. I'll enjoy having all the spare sP instead. And convert it to CSC, to buy more pretties :P
Carl's always pretty good for subq items. And Maleria/Pete/Library are good for new releases/expensive collectables.
EDIT: Glad to hear you're feeling better. HTML is such tricky business. There's often more than 1 right way, and then there's browsers with all different rules. I work in digital advertising, so I hear your frustration 100%.
Sounds like a plan :) I'm sure you'll do great. And from my understanding the art forums are good with helping suggest prices and helping artists get their bearings with selling.

Oh man, digital advertising 0-0 Yeah I bet you more than understand my frustration with HTML I mean it's great but it's terrible at the same time D: That made sense in my head >-< How's work going today? Thank you for your confidence in me hugs I'll just do my best and hope for the best :D
They/ThemI understand exactly what you mean, whether it makes sense or not ;) Work was good today - working from home, which is always nice. Less pressure and stress.
I think it's awesome that you can make money (or digital money at least) from your art. It's a skill I wish I had.
[center]
Hehe always good to be understood :D I'm glad you got a chance for a less stressful day!! ^-^ Are you more productive at home?
Well you can make money if you know how to advertise and make a business out of it U-U That's a skill I wish I had XDD
They/ThemSomedays I am. If there's a lot that needs done. Not today. It's a Jewish holiday, so my boss is off, and there's a lot less stuff to do.
Your art will sell itself :) Though I know what you mean about that, too. We're very similar in many ways, it seems :P I'm a terrible salesperson. Never been good at that whole pumping up a product to sell it thing.
[center]
Now there's a very honest answer :D I was always curious about that. I'm more productive at home in general because I can lay down/have my leg up/wear short shorts/have access to ice/work around pain spikes ect. and the pain decreases some. I'm so afraid I'm not going to make anything of my life because of that quirky need =n=;; Sorry babble, it's been on my mind recently. It's good to hear that you can be properly productive at home in a working sense (depending on the day) XDDD
(>n-n)> Thank youuuuu I try to have proper confidence in my art but hearing things like that are just fabulous for my flagging courage XDD I never want to make people feel obligated to that they need something.... which is part of the whole salesman thing >n< It just makes me very uncomfortable when trying to promote my own things... even other people's things I don't firmly believe in. D:
They/Them:D Hi hi! i'm good, thank you! How are you? How was Spain? :D
Hi there! Your HA's very cute! u
Thank you thank you <3 I thought something simple would be nice for my HA....plus it was hard to find hair that works with the hood XDD How are you doing today darling? Oh! Also sorry to be abrupt, can you do me a favor? 0-0 I'm having trouble coming up with a title for Geoffery's story. U-U;;
They/ThemThat makes sense. In general I'm more productive at work, because other people are there to constantly tell me they need this or that, and so it keeps me on track and away from procrastination :P Being able to motivate yourself at home is a very useful skill :)
Your art should definitely be something you're proud of, and stand behind :) I agree about not being able to sell things you don't agree with completely, though. My boss doesn't like bringing me to client proposals, because I won't do that whole "you need us" thing. I tell it like it is, haha.
[center]
This also makes sense :D Thank you darlin' I have issues with pride/esteem sometimes I suppose .-. I mean I have the skill necessary to spin a story on paper. I hate it but I can do it.... I am just WAY too easy to read in person or on the phone though. No one would ever believe me if I don't believe what I'm saying XDD Telling it like it is so so so preferable to me though 0-0 As a general trait and in advertising. People react to genuine feels. We just do.
They/ThemAgreed. I'm 100% for truth in advertising. Just be honest about what you have to offer, and people will react to that. At the very least it'll be funny/refreshing that you're being truthful. I think most reasonably intelligent people can figure out how to sell something. It just feels wrong or shady when you know you're stretching truths to get the job done.
Nothing wrong with being an open book! At least people know when you support something, it's the truth. What's the point in playing games and hiding your emotions? Might as well get straight to the chase, haha.
[center]
So so true. I'd seriously pay extra if someone was upfront about a product/idea/whatnot. We don't need to be lied to to buy products. If we want to be lied to well... we have politics for that :P cynic moment That's true. :D In personal matters I much prefer when someone basically says "I feel ______ because _________." rather than playing games and and whatnot. It can be hard for some folks, but still it makes communicating a hell of a lot smoother O_O
They/ThemDefinitely. Honesty is worth a premium - and if the product is good, there's no need to make stuff up, anyway.
An honest world is a scary world. But still, I think I'd like it better, too. I'm fairly sensitive receiving/giving criticism and very self-conscious, so dealing with honesty would be most difficult in that regard. If we could make an exception just to spare hurt feelings, then that would be perfect.
