Afternoon all! Everyone adjusting to daylight savings time okay? I actually didn't really feel it much this year.

Statistically English the hardest alphabet language to learn there are over a million different words and way too many exceptions to all the 'rules' to count (By comparison French has 100k words and Spanish 500k). I'm amazed by how well some people manage to pick it up as a second language. I took French for 8 years in school, and I can't speak it whatsoever, haha. I wish I'd picked up a second language when I was younger and it would have been so much easier. (Sorry for the ramble, as a former English major, I love this kind of language comparison stuff :P)

Oh and French is still pretty hard if you learn it as a child, I started with French as second language when i was 10 and 14 years later i still don't speak French. But i'm probably an exception though, considering that with my autism i pick up languages way slower/more difficult.

I'm about halfway between 4 and 5 :) The hardest challenger I've been able to beat is nightshade. On lucky days I can finish level 15 of the battle quests. The XP is really nice there, now!

They say in order to learn a language most easily, you have to have learned all the grammar basics and and vocabulary before you're 12. So you might have started a bit late still. It's easiest to learn multiple languages when you're still a toddler, actually, and your linguistic skills are still developing.

Oh, you don't do daylight savings where you live? It's nice in the fall, annoying in the spring :P

Stay on it, you'll be there soon :) And if you want to speed things up: 25csc is pretty worth it for auto training. The xp from bq is soo worth it. I didn't start with bq's until a few months ago, i missed out on so much free stats.

Here they learn vocabulary before 12 but not so much the grammar. So they probably start too late here. There are projects in belgium for toddlers because of our complex 3 official language structure there are parents in the Brussels area who want their child to start the best possible way. If you live in a place like Brussels where you can never really tell if someone will speak dutch or french then those special toddler projects are worth a shot.

Living in Belgium sounds like it would be interesting. I'd love to live anywhere in Europe, really. A multi-language society is a good thing if you ask me. I live in Canada, and we also have 2 official languages, but the French/English areas are very segregated. Everyone in Quebec is French, everywhere else is English. We all learn the second language in school, but it's really not engrained the same way when you start learning it only one class a day in 4th grade.

I didn't know you were French. That's awesome. I know a tiny amount of French from school, haha.
