I'm still holding out hope they'll pull up their socks and do something. They basically need to recover faith from their userbase at this point.

That's sounds like a great reason to choose a career, to me :) I've done jobs I don't like, and ones I do, and having something you like as your job makes it a million times easier to get up and do it each day :)
