I don't know if the SB being closed says the same thing every time, but what about having it say below the comment about being closed another comment actually request users redirect their debates to the forums when closed for being on the verge of an argument? Couldn't that kind of defuse something like this?

Honestly, I wouldn't see that as a solution to this particular issue. As has been stated SO MANY TIMES, Keith himself participated in it (he even admitted it), then out of nowhere closed it off. Its inconsistent, and really sends the wrong message in this particular case.

100% agree though, people kicking this much fuss over a topic they obviously didn't care enough about to continue when it was taken down, or since, is ridic.

While I wonder if he decided it wasn't so bad when he was joining in, got worse, and decided to shut it down, you're right in that he probably shouldn't have been getting involved in the first place. I don't know. I think he had his reasons to close it and those were valid but yeah maybe his actions at the beginning weren't great in hindsight.

Him closing it in the first place is the issue to some, while I think he was rash he had every right to end it where it was. And yes he probably shouldn't have joined in (see above). But my initial response wasn't really about that, it was people complaining about the action taken afterwards. Still you have every right to complain about it so.
